I’ve really enjoyed to read this book.
The wonderful writing will make you fall in love with all the characters, new ones and old ones.Unfortunately I have to say that Casey stole my heart, she is cuter than my little Ladybug.
I’m already excited to read whatever Claudia Connor will give us in the future.
Worth it all was so sweet. Like All the McKinney brothers I fell in love with JT. There is just something about this series that I just connect with. The characters are all amazing and the stories so touching. This book was no different. It was a beautiful, heartwarming love story. Worth it all was a easier read than the last one. No real angst just a nice easy light heart love story with an adorable little girl as a bonus.
JT was wonderful and so sweet. The youngest of the McKinney gang he was a rising football star until he lost his leg in a car wreck at 19. That was not the only thing he lost in that wreck and he carries a lot of guilt over it. JT moved far from his family and became a biotechnology engineer that designs and patents new prosthetics. All JT does is work until he meets Paige and her daughter Casey. The way JT was with both Paige and Casey was heartwarming. There is nothing sexier than a man loving and taking care of children. JT and Casey had a cute friendship, and much like Matt from book one JT fell in love with the daughter as well as the mother. With Paige he was understanding, supportive, and charming. He let her go at her pace and did everything he could to make her happy and break down her walls.
Paige was a single mom trying her hardest to give her daughter a better life than she had. To give her stability. Paige worked 2 jobs and went to college working towards her goal of giving her daughter a better life. I loved Paige she was a great mom, smart, sweet, and loving and I thought it was cute how she rambled when she got nervous. I loved that she wasn’t a drama queen and didn’t act over the top like some heroines are. She was very real and down to earth.
I loved JT and Paige together their relationship was a slow burn. There was a nice build up and lots of romance. Their relationship was almost zero drama. It was so nice to have a sweet sexy lighter read. I loved all the Casey time I got. Casey was too cute and the things she said made me laugh. Casey and JT’s relationship was almost as important in this book as his and Paige’s. There was a lot of tender moments and I really enjoyed getting to catch up with the other McKinney family members and see where they are years later. Especial Matt and Abby as they are still my favorite! I loved the whole book and the Ending was swoon worthy. Claudia Connor is an amazingly talented writer who writes beautiful and touching love stories that make you feel good. I look forward to reading many more books from her. Hopefully I will be reading some Walker brother (Hannah’s brothers from book 2) books really soon. Like Nick’s HINT HINT!!! I recommend this book for anyone looking for a low angst romance read. I also recommend reading the first two books in this series they are epic, especially Matt’s as I adore Matt!
Jake McKinney’s plan was always to play in the big leagues of the NFL, but after losing a limb in a devastating car accident, he is forced to change the course of his life, and let that dream go by the wayside. Being the youngest in the family has always made him feel like he had to he measure up to his older brothers successes, and he thought his career in the NFL might be the perfect way to do that, but when he had to give up that career path, he was left feeling like a failure, and was certain they felt the same way about it. So, with no alternate plan in place he decided to leave home for a fresh start, and never looked back. With the help of a few new friends, and fellow amputee’s, he’s opened a prosthetic research and development facility, with the goal in mind of helping others find the best possible way to live with their disabilities, and help them find prosthetic’s that will allow them to live their lives on their own terms. Jake’s struggles have made him very compassionate to other’s in the same situation, and has taken on the duty of wanting to give them the same opportunities he has, so when he meets a bright eyed little girl struggling with her prosthetic, he immediately wants to help her, but her mother has some reservations. Jake just takes it on as a challenge, and goes above and beyond to help the little girl… and unknowingly ends up helping himself too!
Paige is a single mom, who is doing all she can to provide her daughter with the life she never had, she wants her daughter to be able live her life as normally as possible, and not let her disability prevent her from doing all the things other kids do, but on certain occasions that’s not the case. When they meet Jake and he offers to help out her daughter with her prosthetic she is a little apprehensive, and has her reservations about accepting help from the handsome stranger. But little, by little Jake starts to win her over, and she eventually gives in…and begins to feel him winning over her guarded heart too.
This was my first time reading a book by this author and I have to say I was quite impressed with her work, so much so, I immediately purchased the other books in this series after I finished this one, because I just had to know more about this family!! I thoroughly enjoyed every minute I spent reading this beautifully written love story, it warmed my heart and had me smiling the whole way through. Highly recommend you give this read a try, Ms. Connor’s heartfelt story line, and well crafted characters will totally win you over and are certain to leave an indelible impression on your heart!!
Learned a lot about prosthetics and children’s cancer from this book. The author clearly did her research. The love story was great too, but I appreciate a good back story and this book had it all.
What a beautiful story! This book is both heart wrenching and heartwarming. Worth It All is the story of JT, the McKinney brother who has kept himself distant from his family. JT is focused on the future without realizing how much he is allowing the past to hold him back. Paige wants to protect her daughter by avoiding the mistakes of her own past.
Claudia Connor draws these beautifully flawed but heartbreakingly strong characters who have to make the hard decisions to follow what their heart wants or put someone else’s dreams first.
This is the third book in the McKinney brothers series and I loved almost as much as the first two. This author taps into my emotions so easily. I am enthralled with her writing. One tiny nit that really isn’t worth mentioning, but when you have readers like me who find a new author and then read everything one right after another, discrepancies make me pause. In this case, the spelling of the name of the horse that is the personal favorite of the Book Two heroine is different in Book Two and Book Three.
this is a great series of books to read.
