Girls weren’t on Bryant Cook’s radar until the day he moved next door to the most beautiful girl he’d ever seen. Fortunately for him, Faith Baker fell just as hard that first day as well. From ages eight to twenty-two, it was the ‘Faith and Bryant’ show, and their happily forever after seemed certain. Until it wasn’t.Now she’s back after twelve years and she wants what they once had. That’s when … had.
That’s when Bryant issues a challenge. One Faith can’t resist. After all, the future they always wanted is riding on it.
She said she’d do anything.
She just didn’t think he meant *that*..

This is a beautifully written book of second chances. I felt all of their emotions; the happiness, the loss, the heartache, the fear and excitement, the longing and their love for each other. Who doesn’t want a second chance at that first amazing love? This was such an emotional and beautifully written book. The chemistry between Faith & Bryant sizzled throughout this wonderful read. Do yourself a favor…read this book.
I can’t get enough of this series and the Cook family! Working Back is a beautiful second chance love story. It has the laugh out loud antics that the previous books in the series have plus all the feels. Bryant and Faith were childhood sweethearts and always belonged together. Faith has just returned home and is determined for Bryant to give her a second chance. What she doesn’t expect is a shocking proposal that she cannot turn down. I love these two so much! The chemistry between them was evident immediately and there is no doubt they are each other’s soulmate. The two had their obstacles to overcome but with both the Cook and Baker family routing for them you can’t help but route for them too. This was a fun read with sexy banter, with a ton of heart and humor. It checks all the boxes. I am looking forward to Cohen and Skye’s story next in Hard Work.
This book is funny, and sweet and all the things a good romance book should be. I really enjoyed it!
BJ Harvey is amazing and wrote an epic story again! Bryant and Faith have been in love since they were eight. Fourteen yrs later, he pops the question and Faith says no, then moves to the other side of the world! Heartbroken and devastated, Bryant tries to move on. Twelve long yrs have gone by, and Faith is home for Jamie and April’s wedding. Faith wants a second chance, so Bryant gives her an ultimatum. Marry me! WTF?? Read this book, hell, read the whole damn series! Darn that’s two dollars in Axel’s swear jars for me! Lol
I always wondered what had happened to Bryant when he made appearances in previous books, not that he was a horrible character but I could just tell there was a story to be told. Boy what a tale there is.
Bryant Cook and Faith Baker have been friends since childhood, they were each other’s first love and first heartbreak. Twelve years ago Bryant proposed to Faith, but she said no and took an internship in Australia. But Faith is back now and she wants Bryant back. I loved how the rolls were reversed in this book. Faith was the one that had to grovel and prove herself to Bryant.
This slow burn romance was filled with laughter, tears, family, and a whole lot of love. Once again little Axel stole my heart.
BJ Harvey is the Queen of RomComs, she gives us the right mixture of laughter, romance and drama. But I did feel that this one was a little lacking with the angst. After having your heart broken and the cause of that showing up after 12 years, I just think so more drama was needed. But i still loved and enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see what is next for the Cook family.
Another great story about the one of the Cook brothers – this time Bryant. Bryant and Faith had been in love since they were 8 and she moved in next door. They were a couple and had their lives planned until college. When Bryant proposes to Faith in college, she turns him down and then disappears to a different country! Bryant had to deal with the heartbreak even though he never understood why Faith turned him down. With the help with his siblings and Faith’s brother, he finally started to move on from the rejection. But Faith as finally decided to return home after 12 years away to attend Jamie and April’s wedding.
When Bryant and Faith finally see each other after 12 years, Faith tries to talk to Bryant about their relationship since she loves him always even though she turned down his marriage proposal and ran away for 12 years. Bryant surprises Faith by telling her to prove that she really wants a relationship with him again by telling her to marry him! Yep, Bryant wants Faith to marry him after Jamie and April’s wedding to prove that she still loves and wants him back.
What an interesting way to get back together with the person that you have loved for over 25 years! As you can imagine, the 2 know that they love the other but Bryant wants Faith that she is hear to stay even though in the back of his mind, he has doubts that she would actually stay. Faith works hard to show Bryant her love for him and that she is back to stay. And she goes out of her to do it!
It is such a great, steamy, sexy, and funny story about 2 people who has loved each other since they were kids and how one decision pulled them apart for 12 years but now they want to show each other that the love is still there and the commitment is real!
This was a fun read, a reunion story. Faith and Bryant were good together, and I loved how they tried to make the other break, both being so stubborn. The patience they had as well as the struggle over hurt feelings and what had happened in between felt real and kept me reading.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
4 Stars
Such a great story in the Cook Brothers series. The boys are at it again, renovating a house while one of them lives in it. But Bryant had more than house flipping on his mind when he agreed to move in and be a part of the reno; he planned on renovating his life and the life of the only girl he’s ever loved.
When Bryant’s long time love and the one that got (ok, walked) away returns declaring she’s back for him, Bryant wastes no time trying to reset the clock. After issuing a challenge for the ages, he’s sensitive and sweet and proves just why Faith fell so hard all those years ago but he’s also determined to ensure she’s in it for the long haul.
These two were the sweetest. Working their way back to each other after twelve years isn’t easy but neither are afraid of a little hard work. With an awesome family and group of friends around them and cheering them on, they can’t help but win. Funny with such heart and sweet heat, great book!

I love a good 2nd chance childhood love story.
Oh these Cook brothers are something else. They are a little bit of everything all wrapped up in a nice sexy package. This was a fun heart warming story. But it was also about finding ones self. And hoping it’s not to late to mend wounds that run deep. Another great read by Harvey.
This book came at the right time when I needed to keep reality away with some laugh, love and hope. B.J has the ability to make you laugh, cry and fill your heart with hope and so much contentment. Bry and Faith’s love story is pure and sincere at the beginning when they are just children & teenagers but to get their happily ever after they go through some hurt, anger and a second chance not wasted. I loved their painful but sweet story, the involvement of the other characters from the previous books was there and enough to keep you laughing. You gotta love the Cook brothers and can’t wait to read the book of the youngest one: Cohen!
Bryant and Faith has been together since they were children until she just left him. Now years later she is back for Bryant. He does not believe her and gives her an ultimatum. This story has all the feels one could want and these two support but crazy families help them on this journey to find what was always there.

I love this series so much and this is the third book in the series. If you’re looking for a good second chance romance then look no further. Though they do go about a little unconventionally. I loved Faith and Bryant. If anyone deserves a second chance it’s those two. They have so much history even from a young age. As a reader you’re rooting for them right from the beginning. As with the previous books this book delivers on the feels and humor. I laughed a lot while reading this one. I love when all Cook boys get together. It’s so much fun. I love the ending of this one. It’s the perfect touch. This is a must read for sure! I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
I love everything this woman writes. She has a way of drawing you in and swallowing you whole, and the Cook boys are quickly taking top spot for me.
The storylines are Amazing and the characters are people that I’d want as friends….if only They were real.
I can’t wait for the rest of the series.
I really love this series, this family, these brothers, this author, I JUST LOVE IT ALL!!
Faith and Bryant have history. Waaaaaaaaaay back history. They’ve shared a lot of first in their lifetime so far, including heartbreak. However, today is a new day, and they’re taking their second chance to get it right! One of my all time favorite tropes! There’s nothing like a good redemption story for me.
For me, the best part of this story was its low angst/conflict and also their story stayed in the present, for the most part. Faith and Bryant both didn’t dwell to far into the past and/or hurts they might have endured over a decade ago when they split. They focused on the here and now and learning who they were today and grow their love today. There was no conflict for conflict. Just a sweet and humorous story of two people reuniting to try and get it right this time. I had a smile on my face throughout the entire story and my heart was happy.
This family continues to entertain me in the best way! They are a delight to read individually and an absolute hoot to read together! I can’t wait for Cohen’s story!!
This is the third book in the Cook’s brother House Flipping.
This one is Bryant and Faith’s Story.
Child hood friends who became more than Friends. When Bryant asked
Faith to marrying him she was not ready.
Eight years later Faith came home to try to win over Bryant.
To find out what happens you will have to grab a copy.
Great plot that kept me well and truly entertained.
The chemistry between them is sweet and sexy.
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I’ve been really looking forward to this book and I was not at all disappointed. Working Back was a really enjoyable second chances romance. The story flowed fell and this was an engaging low angst story with fab characters who had a great chemistry. I flew through this book as it was a real page turned and I cannot wait for the next book!
N.B While this book is part of a series, it can most definitely be read as a S/A.
Sometimes you meet your soulmate at a very young age which can have you question who you are without them. This is a book about second chances. Risking it all for the one person you want most. It’s about healing and forgiveness when it can be a very painful process. Bj did a beautiful job telling this heartfwlt story. It’s emotional, beautiful and has a touch of heartbreak. Such a great addition to the series and one you won’t want to miss.
This is the 3rd book in this amazing series and is Bryant and Faith’s story. These two are soul-mates, and have been since childhood, until Faith leaves town. Now 12 years later she is back, but how will Bryant react when they come face to face? No spoilers; this is an amazing series, and is a definite must read, you will not be disappointed! This is a beautifully written story which is fun, humorous, and an all round entertaining romantic comedy. I highly recommend this for all readers.
I just love B.J.’s writing. Working Back is a second chance romance and it wont be easy. I loved Bryant and Faith’s story. I enjoyed the family bonds. I can’t wait to read more of B.J.’s books.
Another super fun installment of the Cook brothers.
I loved all the laugh out loud moments and incredibly sweet scenes that make this book a treasure!!
I was soooo excited to read that Bryant was the next Cook brother story he seems so mysterious and calm compared to his twin brother Jax.
I really enjoyed the connection between Bry and Faith and how they have loved each other for so many years and it hasn’t wavered in their time apart.
I love Faith she is incredibly smart and sincere. Bryant is the same in smarts and sincerity and a little broken but not bitter.
I really loved past characters and Axel that kid seriously steals the show each and every time!!
All up this was incredibly funny and uplifting which I have come to love from the series. I cannot wait from more from BJ Harvey and the Cook brother series.
