Blizzard conditions exist. No shirt required.Billionaire CEO Dylan Truex was burnt out. Not from his empire, DIRTY GAINS, but from his celebrity status. Having the body he did as well as the motivation to lead the pack, was no longer all it was cracked up to be. Heading to Estes Park for a two-week getaway all by himself sounded like the perfect solution to all his problems. Until he arrives and … Until he arrives and finds that the condo has been double-booked. Sharing the condo, he can handle. Cute blondie tempting him to break his no-sex bet, err…
When Lina Armstrong runs away from her old life—walking out on her job and leaving behind her family—the best thing she can do is reclaim her true self. No boss. No family. No men. No anybody. Then comes handsome stranger Dylan Truman threatening to wreck her alone time at Pine Lake. Yeah, he’s cute and all, but so are the elk and that doesn’t mean she wants to share a condo with them.
When the blizzard hits and whiteout conditions make it unsafe for either of them to go anywhere, they are forced to stay put in the condo together. What started off as a bad thing, starts to turn into something good. Two weeks with this cocky hard body? Alright, if she must.
It shouldn’t be a problem as long as she can keep her hands to herself and stop imagining if his tongue has as much stamina as the rest of his body.

Getting away in a double booked condo could sure end it chaos but for these two with their stubbornness and unexpected chemistry it was the total opposite. Lots of steam and the feelings brought out were just right. I have really enjoyed this series so far and will jump to the next now.
Fate cannot scream any louder through the double whammy into Lina and Dylan’s lives. These two were meant to be together, they just need to give in to it. Dylan is famous and Lina just does not care. I loved the contrast between these two. But following them trying to avoid each other was the most fun in this story. Lina was trying so hard to control her hands, but her thoughts were all over Dylan. Dylan is a swoon worthy hero that does not let fame get the best of him. My heart was fluttering as they grew closer together. This was such a fun listen, I could not stop.
Melissa Schwairy certainly can bring out the swoon worthiness of Ashley Bostock’s men. Ms. Schwairy brings this story to life. She has an easy to listen to voice. Each character has a distinct tone, which makes the book easy to follow. I look forward to more from Ms. Schwairy.
When Dylan Truex, owner of the Dirty Gains empire, decides to take a few days off to rethink his life, he goes to Estes Park alone. However, upon arriving there, he discovers that the condo has been double-booked.
Lina Armstrong ran away from her old life and decided to spend some time in Pine Lake, but didn’t expect her time alone to be threatened by the cute stranger Dylan Truman.
When the blizzard hits and whiteout conditions storm makes it impossible for them to leave the house, they decide to coexist amicably, even though they don’t know each other. Lina is honest from the beginning, telling about her life and what led her there, while Dylan omits some parts of his life because he’s afraid that if Lina knew who he really was, he would be treated differently.
The two can’t resist the attraction for each other and decide to give in to the feelings, but only after the end of Dylan’s bet of ‘no sex’. But when Lina discovers Dylan’s true identity, will she be able to forgive him, or will the lie drive them away forever?
This is a well written story with interesting characters. I recommend the reading.
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Dylan Truex believes in a health regimen but is he doing it for the right reasons. He shows how much social media can affect someone’s life. It gets better though when he decides to get away for a while. Lina Armstrong isn’t easily impressed.
The author slowly reveals some of the things these two have in common. While that’s going on she also slowly builds up the heat between our two mismatched characters. Let’s just say that if I had the room I’d be looking into a wood-burning fireplace. Loved the giggle moments. They had me looking forward to more. Also loved the tension and uneasiness that showed through.
I’ve seen guys like Dylan in the gym. You know the ones. You can picture them rubbing their abs (to make sure they didn’t go anywhere) and then the imagery of him kissing his guns. You know the ones. They always work out in front of the mirror. The ones that aren’t just making sure they’re doing their form correctly. Oh, and let’s not forget the big jug with their favorite workout drink. That’s not to say that I don’t appreciate looking at the fruits of their labor and they certainly helped me in forming an image of Dylan. And don’t get me started on ego.
Once I get past that image, I start to get a look at Lina. She’s a strong woman on the outside but she seems so timid on the inside – a little unsure of herself. But she’s willing to step out of her comfort zone and go off by herself to try and reinvent herself. Then our author puts temptation in her way. I got so into the story that everything seemed to disappear. The cold was outside but it got nice and toasty in my living room.
There were just so many things that kept my attention. First we have a man that I’m surprised there was enough room for him and his ego. We have a woman who has shut herself off from everyone but does she have enough room in her heart to actually let someone in. Even Mother Nature has a role in this story and with winter right outside my window it helped to create the perfect backdrop. My climax was when I got to the romantic ending – yes, Dylan did redeem himself in my eyes- but I have other billionaires to check out in the series. I also have an author who happens to have other books that I can check out.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Round three and we have billionaire Dylan. There was hints of his unhappiness with his current life situation in the previous book, but no where to the level in which we meet him in his own story. Dylan was at his tipping point. He needed to get away from his celebrity. He finds that solace in the arms of a woman that was not suppose to be there. But he was certain he would not fall for her. Only time changed those thoughts. Lina Armstrong on the other hand finds that she needs to get away from it all. She swears off men and then finds that she’s sharing space with a man. Not just any man, but one man that causes her panties to melt and her temp to rise. But stick to her guns she try real hard to do.
Enjoying Lina and Dylan was a reading treat. Two people needing to separate from their lives for a time find a piece of paradise within each other, but how far can it all go when it starts with a lie. Ashley Bostock brings her game with written word, detailed characters, and a will he, won’t she story that gives you hope for romance when all else has been let go of.
Bostock has way with hearts and gift with words. Love on the run takes on a whole new meaning when emotions come into play. When two strangers in need of a little peace and quiet find themselves sharing a condo, all previous plans fly out the window. Dylan and Lina have a knack for finding chaos. Can their chance encounter be the remedy? Work For It brings the humor, adds the heart and doesn’t hold back the temptation.
