This was one strange love triangle. I loved the unique relationship Kit had with her ex-boyfriend’s spirit. This added so much to the story as she tried to move forward with her life. At home, she had to deal with a spirit, but out in the world, she had to choose between someone who has always been there for her, or who her heart desires. This book captured me and I could not put it down. I was on the edge of my seat as each twist and turn occurred. That ending left me breathless and I never saw it coming!
Robin Kohn Glazer narrated this story well. She has an easy to listen to voice. All of the characters were kept distinct and separate, to make the narration easy to follow. Robin read at a good pace through out the story. Overall, it was a good performance.
I loved the narration by Robin Kohn Glazer. The accents she uses are beautiful and really help to differentiate the characters.
This book threw me slightly as I really wasn’t sure what to expect and it took me quite a while to settle into the story. The more I listened the more I got into it. And although I guessed the twist pretty early on I wasn’t quite sure I was right and really enjoyed watching it play out over the course of the book. It was nicely played and I ended up really enjoying the story.
The story starts out with eerie things happening all around Kit. Her high school yearbook falling off the shelf to the open page of her deceased boyfriend. Strange dreams of reminders of him, music playing in the coffee shop that they used to danced to. why now? she enlisted the help of her spiritual friend, Irene, to use the Ouija board to try to find out his message! Kit is involved with her coworker Dwight. Then Kit meets Steven the new guy in town. Shes drawn to him emotionally , romantically and spiritually. Dwight has unwavering love for Kit. which causes Kit to second guess her emotions between the two men.
Scarlett Darkwood weaves the the love story dramatically between the three. why is she having these dreams, why did Steven suddenly come into her life and sweep her off her feet? This story has many spiritual moments, paranormal ,mystery , confusion, and sex. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this audio. Robin Kohl Glazer narration for all the characters was so emotional. I needed tissues. I recommend this story. #audiobookobsessiinreview
This book throws you through so many loops that you don’t know which way is up at times. I was definitely glued to my seat trying to figure out what was going on and the way it all wrapped up like a pretty little bow in the end was great! This was a new to me author, but I will be looking for more in the future.
Words We Never Speak by Scarlet Darkwood, has intrigue, some pnr elements that lingers throughout the story.
I have to say I was surprised by this story. This is not one of Scarlet’s dark naughty Romance’s this one is relatively tame, but all in all interesting. The setting, the story line, and the characters will grip you, and keep you guessing till the end.
