After four years with her boyfriend, Cadie McCaffrey is thinking of ending things. Convinced Will doesn’t love her in the “forever” way she loves him, Cadie believes it’s time for her to let him go before life passes her by. When a misunderstanding leads to a mistake, leaving her hurt, disappointed, and full of regret, she finally sends him packing. But for Will, the end of their relationship is … relationship is only the beginning of his quest to figure out how to be the man Cadie wanted him to be. With the dubious guidance of his former pro-athlete work friends and tactics drawn from Cadie’s favorite romantic comedies, Will attempts to win her back. It’s a foolproof plan. What could possibly go wrong?
Bethany Turner is back with more of the heart and humor readers love. Anyone who enjoys a good romance or binges romantic comedies on Netflix will devour this delightful story.

Wooing Cadie McCaffrey is a fun and entertaining read by Bethany Turner. I loved Will and Cadie’s story. I found myself laughing at times and tearing up at others.
I give Wooing Cadie McCaffrey four and a half stars. It is such a beautiful and story story of love, faith, forgiveness, and having second chances. I look forward to where Miss Turner takes her readers to next. I recommend it for readers who enjoy sweet and clean contemporary fiction.
I received this book from the publisher. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.
Wooing Cadie McCaffrey by Bethany Turner is a delightfully addictive romance novel with laugh-out-loud humor, a unique tone, and numerous romcom movie references. The story was cute from the beginning, but once I hit chapter ten, I didn’t want to put it down.
My favorite character in Wooing Cadie McCaffrey was Will. He made mistakes, but his personal ambition and dedication to Cadie made him absolutely swoon-worthy. Conversely, Cadie made mistakes, but I found her slightly annoying. Her refusal to communicate during difficult times seemed immature for a woman in her mid-thirties. Fortunately, there’s character development and I found myself rooting for them to get together in the end.
Though much of Wooing Cadie McCaffrey is humor and fun, deeper themes are present. The novel captures the real life tensions that Christian couples experience as they desire to be together, but aren’t completely prepared to marry. The story explores how a lack of communication can negatively affect a relationship, but I wish there had been more page time dedicated to Will and Cadie actually practicing good communication… Maybe I just didn’t want the novel to end. *wink*
I recommend Wooing Cadie McCaffrey by Bethany Turner to readers who enjoy romantic comedies. I read this novel twice before writing this review and I found it even more fun the second time around.

I loved this story! It’s funny, yes but it’s so much more. Bethany Turner deals with real life in a way that is relatable and understandable. We are each sinners who have failed in different ways and because of that, Will and Cadie’s story will move you. Sometimes throughout the story I wanted to shake them both, but I also cheered them on and wanted to see them accept the forgiveness that’s freely given. Wonderfully done! Can’t wait to see what’s next for Ms. Bethany Turner!
Bethany Turner takes us on an emotional ride through Cadie and Will’s dating life. They met on Cadie’s 30th birthday, and as Cadie called it, it was the perfect “meet-cute” moment. It is what Cadie has been waiting for all her life. What she fails to realize is that life is not a romance movie or book…well maybe she does since she accepts the fact that “Cary Grant does not exist in my Millennial world”.
The book fluctuates between past and present and I really liked the different chapter titles. Chapter 1 is Four Years later. To the Day., Chapter 2 is About Twenty-five minutes earlier., Chapter 3 – A Day or Two later. Three at the Most. and so forth. The fluctuations give us a peek into Will and Cadie’s dating life over the last four years – their expectations, adventures, and desires. We also see the issues that neither seems to be able to verbalize and I think that is the crux of their issues – lack of communication. It isn’t as if they don’t communicate, but they don’t talk about the important things like where they see their relationship heading, what they want out of life, and their faith and beliefs. Cadie is strong in her faith and beliefs, whereas with Will, we know he has beliefs but not sure exactly what they are or to what extent his faith extends.
Fast forward four years later (from the prologue to chapter 1) and it is Cadie’s birthday and their dating anniversary…remember, they met on her birthday. Anyhow, Will has an opportunity to springboard his career at work and this is the culmination of their conversation issues. The story really starts at this point and with unplanned sex. Nothing could ever go wrong there, right? Cadie and Will had agreed that they were waiting until marriage and considering that Cadie’s parents are church/faith leaders this puts a lot of pressure on her…basically like good ol’ Catholic guilt. Both Cadie and Will have a lot to learn from this experience and it takes some frank conversations with her parents and with each other before there can be any hope for them.
Will and Cadie have a great support system and it is ultimately what helps them through this crisis, along with some honest and frank conversations. There is a lot of humor that made me chuckle in various situations and then there are moments where I am holding my breath that all will work out for these two. One of the lines that I felt summed up the situation for Cadie was “it’s simply a matter of you deciding whether or not you want to spend your life with this man – and what it might take to do that.” After all that she had learned by this point was she willing to do what it takes? And was Will willing to do what it takes?
Overall a very enjoyable book. For a Christian romance, I was surprised that the faith portion was fairly light. There was a lot of focus on the one instance of sex (that is behind closed doors) and after a while, it started to overshadow what I think was the heart of the issue – communication.
We give it 4 paws up and look forward to what this author has in store next for us.
When I pick up a Bethany Turner book, I know I’m in for a treat and a rollicking good time. She has the most delightful sense of humor and creates fantastic, realistic, endearing characters that make you want to be best friends with them. Cadie and Will are such fun—from the hilarious meet-cute to the break-up and on to the wooing, they kept me laughing and sometimes wanting to knock their heads together. Turner isn’t afraid to tackle some of the messy, gritty, tough parts of life, but she also turns them into learning experiences. I loved the tender message of forgiving others and also forgiving yourself, which is sometimes even harder to do.
Will is such a swoon-worthy hero, but he doesn’t have a clue when it comes to wooing his girlfriend back. Everything seems to backfire on him, even when he’s trying so hard to get Cadie back. Why can’t things work out like they do in the movies? (Speaking of movies, the references are fun and add charm to the book). Will just won’t quit trying though, which frustrates Cadie to no end. “How am I supposed to move past him if he won’t get out of the way?” I must admit I spent a lot of time wishing they would just communicate with each other. Of course, that would have destroyed a lot of the story line and made it into a novella.
For a refreshing, fun, romantic (yet angsty) read, grab this book! It’s one for the keeper shelf. I’m already looking forward to more from this author.

If a book could say hello, then this book had me at hello! The cover…the dedication…the prologue, absolutely perfect! And it honestly only got better from there. What a laugh out loud breath of fresh air! From the quirky, yet stubbornly lovable heroine to the clueless and affable hero, what we ultimately have here is a failure to communicate! However, their missteps and misunderstandings provide the perfect approach for the author’s incredibly unique voice and style to showcase this unique love story.
Romantic comedies have always held a special place in my heart. I still have every line from The Goodbye Girl memorized! The summer I was 14, I watched Sleepless in Seattle or Reality Bites every night before bed. And don’t get me started on the number of times I swore I was going to be Kathleen Kelly from You’ve Got Mail when I grew up with my little neighborhood book store and a sweet and adoring relationship that began online. But in the last decade or so, it’s become increasingly difficult to find the time and attention span to actually watch a movie much less one that isn’t animated! This book reminded me of how much I used to enjoy spending a few hours humorously wrapped up in someone else’s love affair. There are so many amusing references to beloved rom-coms that any fan will find a reason to fall in love all over again! Every character is wonderfully well developed and truly came alive to the point that each minute spent reading was like watching it unfold on the screen. This was further enhanced by the endearing chapter headings, which set the tone and kept the pacing on point!
“It wasn’t Will’s fault that life was not a John Cusack movie any more than it was my fault that I wished it were.”
For every perfectly timed comedic moment, the story was beautifully laced with touches of grace and forgiveness in the ever present struggle with feelings of guilt and regret. Love can be a fantastically frustrating journey, yet this story is a shining testament to faith! God is truly in the details, and when we hand them over to Him, wonderful things happen.
As Vivian says in Pretty Woman, “I want the fairy tale,” and this book definitely gave me the fairy tale that I didn’t know I needed! Happily ever afters can exist and this one will definitely make you swoon. Now, as I anxiously await the author’s next book, you can find me behind the pages of her debut, THE SECRET LIFE OF SARAH HOLLENBECK!

A modern, messy love story not to be missed.
Oh, how I loved, loved, loved Cadie McCaffrey! Where do I even begin with this fantastic gem of a rom-com?? I was immediately swept into this story and held captive until the very last page. I honestly think anything I say won’t be able to do it justice. Bethany Turner is a master!
As someone who personally uses humor as a coping mechanism, I quickly and closely bonded with Cadie’s personality (even though I didn’t share her specific circumstances). This would have been a very different read if seen through the eyes of anyone else. The humor splashed throughout was a tasteful medicine as Cadie tried to process the events she’d experienced and tried to figure out her life and where it was going. Yes, there was some sensitive content that people may or may not expect to find in Christian fiction, but it was handled realistically with honesty yet sensitivity. Christians aren’t immune to sin–we mess up just like everyone else. The difference is that we recognize our ultimate need for our Savior, Jesus.
Poor Will, he tried so hard and yet always seemed to find himself digging deeper holes. It was evident that he loved Cadie but was clueless on what he needed to do to win her back. I couldn’t help but root for him even when I felt like rolling my eyes at him. I deeply loved seeing how hard he was fighting for Cadie though, and the further I got into the story the more I loved him as a character.
I don’t know where I fit into the “norm” of women when it comes to sports, but I actually like them, so the fact that both Cadie and Will worked for ASN (American Sports Network) was instantly appealing to me. I didn’t understand how Cadie could work for a sports network without being a fan, but I respected her for trying. I might have gotten a little excited over some of the name dropping (including my man Peyton Manning) that existed in the book. It wasn’t overpowering to the point that a non-sports fan wouldn’t be able to enjoy this story as well, but present enough that a sports fan would appreciate it.
As someone who grew up watching chick-flick romances and romantic comedies, I also loved each time I came across a reference to one. Each movie I knew that was mentioned brought a sentimental smile to my face. I have a list of movies I need to go back to watch now!
As I said above, I absolutely loved this novel and I’m so glad that I was able to read it. Bethany Turner is a rom-com master. This book is instantly being added to my favorites pile. There’s no question that I plan to read more from her in the future. I highly, highly recommend it!

Bethany Turner once again delivers a book filled with pop culture references, humor, and a world that readers can sink into and get lost in. Plus, in Wooing Cadie McCaffrey, there’s lots of romance—or at least attempts at romance.
For me, what makes Turner’s stories so great (other than what I just mentioned) is her true-to-life characters. They make mistakes—huge ones at times. They cause more grief and stress for themselves than necessary. And, with a few missteps and false starts, they find their way out of it all. And isn’t that just how life for us goes sometimes?
If you’re a fan of romcoms, romance, or simply a story that unfolds like a favorite feel-good move when you’re in need of a pick-me-up with all the beloved plot twists and complete with a happily ever after, Wooing Cadie McCaffrey is a must-read. Seriously, run and go get it now.

4 1/2 Stars! WOOING CADIE MCCAFFREY is a perfect summer romance and great page turner. I began reading it bit by bit, and then, about page 80, I had to read until I finished it.
The book starts with a bang with this awesome set up:
First, a woman who is not willing to settle, none other than Cadie McCaffrey herself. She’s holding out and says: “I had no desire to settle for anything less than a man who would make at least one of the Bronte Sisters proud.”
Second, the perfect meet cute and leading man. The meet cute really is hilarious and sweet. “Enter Will, stage left.”
It’s fun to have a book couched in terms of a very aware heroine who loves romances and rom-coms, and who is also to the point that she must declare that it’s all movies and novels, but not real life. It tickled me as a reader to know that the hero, Will, would turn it all upside down on her.
Cadie is honestly a little TOO perfect. She’s more perfect than any of my girlfriends and they are pretty darned perfect. But they are flawed, too. The interesting thing is that, in this romance, Cadie’s flaw is how flawless she thinks she is, she must be. She thinks she’ll fall apart, as will her chance with her true love, without that perfection. I loved how, in the end, Will and Cadie’s friends and parents had something to teach her about that. And that is probably why I got to the point that I had to absolutely binge read to the ending; I got to where I wanted Cadie to learn that lesson before it was too late. I wanted Cadie to get her romantic moment, just like in the movies, only better.
It also helped to hear from Will every now and then, so I knew he wasn’t the jerk poor Cadie had, due to circumstances, eventually believed him to be. So, for me, the dual Point of View worked, as did the “fall from grace” that Cadie eventually experienced.
Bethany Turner is a Christy Finalist for a reason. And Revell (a Christian fiction division of Baker Publishing Group) has published another great book. I haven’t read one of their books that I haven’t enjoyed, but I do think it is important to know that their books are gentle Christian fiction. Friends, if you’d like a gentle Christian page-turning summer romantic read, this book is for you. Make sure and enter the chance for a prize (see giveaway below).
Thank you to Bethany and Revell for the paperback book in exchange for an honest review. I’m thinking now I’m going to have to go back and read THE SECRET LIFE OF SARAH HOLLENBECK. (That’s in the giveaway, too, if you are curious).
Author Bethany Turner’s sophomore novel is delightful, full of references to pop culture and beloved rom-com movies, actual swoon-worthy romance, laugh-out-loud moments, and a difficult relationship topic, heartbreak and hope all rolled into one very satisfying story. Bethany Turner, a fresh voice in Christian fiction, and her contemporary romantic-comedy stories are delighting fans across the country! Check out Cadie & Will’s story in Wooing Cadie McCaffrey! My favorite parental line in the story “I can’t promise I won’t be disappointed, but I can promise that no disappointment in the world could be bigger than my love for you. You know that, right?”

A delightful story
I am so enamored with this story! From the first sentence, I was hooked. In fact, just reading the Prologue had me filled with so many emotions! From laughter at the meet-cute to the heart-warming way Cadie and Will fell in love so quickly. Be still my heart! I found myself both longing for (so I could know how things turned out) and dreading the ending of the book (duh! It was so wonderful to read).
Will swept Cadie off her feet both literally and figuratively as he rescued her from the certain peril resulting from standing on a desk in high-heels holding a cake blazing with fifty candles on it. In the same way he became captivated with Cadie in a flash, I was captivated with this story.
Despite pulling from familiar stories and being written in a genre that can be somewhat predictable, this story was fresh and new and included many unexpected situations. The ending was both original and familiar in the best way possible.
Will was handsome, according to Cadie, “in a goofy sort of way”. With an incredible smile. He was so in love with Cadie yet so inept at expressing it. The results of his bumbling attempts at winning her back were highly amusing!!
One of the things that I enjoyed tremendously was the feeling of sharing inside jokes with Will and Cadie. I wanted to highlight so many passages to share and each time I realized they don’t make any sense if you aren’t in the know. Will’s special birthday greeting to Cadie each year is one such example.
If you enjoy Rom-Com movies, you will have fun with the abundance of references here. I was surprised at the number of movies I wasn’t familiar with at all and loved seeing some of my favorites listed here. I was reading portions of the story to my husband because it was just too humorous to keep to myself! We both agreed that the author arranged her words was masterful.
On the other hand, Wooing Cadie MCCaffrey was also poignant and dealt with issues such as temptation, shame, and guilt. Cadie’s fear of being judged by her parents and the burden she carried made me so sad. I loved the way that both Cadie and Will drew closer to God when they realized he was so ready to forgive. The words of Cadie’s mom’s words to her about God’s nature and forgiveness touched my heart deeply.
Author Bethany Turner achieved the delicate balance of romance, inspiration, humor, and heart issues in this delightful story. It is the first I have read of her books and I hope to add many more to that number.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book!

I was given a copy of this book. I was not required to give a favorable review nor was any money received for this review. All comments and opinions are my own.
Bethany Turner’s latest offering Wooing Cadie McCaffery is a romantic gem. Cadie and Will are having problems in their relationship (in fact, there is a break-up) and some wooing is in order! Will is often clueless, sweetly romantic, and always in love with Cadie. His attempts to help her see that they belong together forever are the stuff of a great rom-com. Discovering how the two of them overcome hurt, guilt, and miscommunication makes for a delightful and swoony read.
Personally I love Bethany Turner’s author voice as she tells a story. She writes romance, humor, and spiritual truths in an engaging way that makes it hard to put down a book once I start reading.
If you enjoyed Turner’s first book The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck, you will love this one because I think it is even better!
Best things: relatable characters, hilarious happenings, fun pop culture references

I loved this book! Bethany Turner creates the wonderfully unique stories! Her characters are so real and face real difficulties that we would all face. Her characters are so human. I loved how they turned to God during their troubles. I really loved this book! I can’t wait to read more from Bethany Turner!

Wooing Cadie McCaffrey by Bethany Turner
Bethany Turner doesn’t know this yet, but she got me out of my reading doldrums. Or perhaps it was her characters Will and Cadie. Because I can’t think of a more fun couple to watch—well okay if I’m honest—it wasn’t all fun and games; the highs and lows had my heart dipping & soaring like a roller coaster ride. What seemed like a perfect relationship wasn’t so perfect and those moments had my heart aching. If there were two people in the world who deserved each other and the kind of forever love that most people dream of, it was Will and Cadie. They had four years invested in the little things that mean the most; the nuances, the private jokes, the song that emanates that first dance feeling or even the warmth & anticipation of the first kiss. Something went terribly wrong along the way and they struggle with how to fix it…or perhaps not in Cadies case.
After the big breakup—which literally ripped my heart right out of my chest and left it bleeding on the floor—Will formulated his plan to win Cadie back. While I’ve not watched the vast majority of the movies Bethany referenced, I can still appreciate the effort he went to for a good old-fashioned wooing. A man watching romantic movies—which he has zero interest in—to get grandiose ideas on just how to do it? Make my heart pitter-patter why don’t you Bethany? If Cadie isn’t wowed by that, I don’t know what would do it for her. You gotta give the guy an A+ for extra effort!
The ending? Sheer perfection! It referenced one of my favorite RomCom movies (and I only love three) and my all-time favorite scene. The emotions that were coursing through my veins had me a bit dizzy and giddy because I knew what was coming, or at least happily anticipated what SHOULD be coming. Ah Bethany, you know how to take a reader on a roller coaster ride between laughter and tears and all the messy emotions and wholly capture them in your story! I’m bereft for any other book right now, I think I need a week or two (three at the most) to be able to move past this.
The spiritual message in this story is just as powerful as the story itself and involves copious amounts of forgiveness for self and the guilt that can plague even the strongest of Christians. Moving past huge mistakes we make is no easy task and Bethany shows through Cadie and Will how it can be done with God’s grace & love.
All in all, I find this laughably fun, refreshingly honest, gut wrenching emotional and made a mess of my mascara (if I wore any, that is). I’m labeling this my top read of 2019 by far!

“Wooing Cadie McCaffrey” is a Christian themed romance so those looking for steamy sex scenes will be disappointed in it. Those looking for biblical references might be disappointed as well. It is the characters themselves that live with their “devotions” as well as their beliefs, which they try (unsuccessfully) to lead them into making the right choices.
Cadie McCaffrey has been with Will pretty much since her 30th birthday, some four (4) years earlier. They’re both madly in love with each other. So, what’s wrong? According to Cadie, apparently she doesn’t feel like Will loves her enough for a “forever after” – basically marriage.
After a series of mistakes that Will inadvertently makes, Cadie breaks up with him firmly convinced she’s right.
Will, who loves Cadie dearly and with all his heart (she’s the only woman he wants), will stop at nothing to win her back. With Cadie’s assistant providing him a favorite list of her movies to “guide” him along, and Will’s co-workers to help, he doesn’t see what could go wrong as he tries to “woo” Cadie back. However, each step forward is almost two to three back for Will, but he keeps trying.
But, despite missing him, Cadie is trying to make things work without him, and each misstep convinces her she’s right. She also has some misconceptions about what is going on in his life. His persistence eventually wins out, albeit almost too late.
This story is about reading into things the wrong way, not taking time to communicate, our own stubbornness, and about our own religious observances. It tells a loving story about how we sometimes want to be better than we have to be because we feel we’re not enough. It is in that pursuit we almost lose ourselves as well as what we’re fighting for.
Some reviewers had a problem with Will asking permission from Cadie’s parents for marriage – no, he didn’t have to. However, given his own beliefs, he felt it was the right thing to do. That’s where a lot of readers will have a serious issue. I think the gesture shows a great respect to Cadie, her parents, and God to ask for her hand in marriage, YES EVEN IN 2019. Would I have a problem with a man going to my mother before me? No. It is a sign of respect and in some ways, inclusion of
the family. If it is how he feels, who is the reader to disrespect that – or make fun of it?
As far as the issue with sex – again, remember … this is a Christian themed novel. While some Christians have no issue with pre-marital sex, some will. There’s no one-size-fits-all when it comes to it. Whatever works for that person or the couple, is what works for them. Obviously it was important to Will and we cannot invalidate his feelings over it. That is where the romance in this novel is – loving and respecting each other to see past our own desires. To act with respect for the person we love, not act on desires. Apparently Cadie was just as upset by the event.
I’m surprised a LOT of reviewers haven’t attacked Will’s persistent “wooing” of Cadie as a #MeToo moment. Not that I see it as such. Although I am sure there might be others who could.
Will and Cadie love each other, they both wanted to be with each other. It was a series of mistakes and missteps that caused the separation. It wasn’t an outright rejection of him – so much as Cadie wanted a commitment. I am surprised (pleasantly so) that I haven’t really seen a “#MeToo” comment about his relentless pursuit and not taking a for an answer.
I was a little ticked at Cadie that she rebuffed him so many times when it was clear he had made a mistake (which wasn’t 100% his) as later revealed. Had they talked, it might have cut 100 pages off, but still been a cute read. Let this be a lesson – talk things out. Don’t assume. Don’t let insecurity read something into nothing.
Overall this is a cute read, given the subject and some of the more “questionable” parts. Despite being utterly irritated with Cadie’s attitude at times, I still couldn’t put the book down and managed to read it in about two (2) days.
Bethany Turner’s latest novel, Wooing Cadie McCaffrey, will have readers falling in love with the irresistible Will Whitaker as he tries to win back his girlfriend Cadie by using inspiration from many of her favorite romantic comedies. Bethany Turner takes readers on a fun, humorous journey of romance and second chances with numerous pop culture references sprinkled in throughout the novel. Fans of romantic comedies, such as You’ve Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle, Dirty Dancing, Serendipity, and so many more, will love the references to their favorite movies. Readers will laugh out loud at the antics of Will and his athletic football friends as they watch the romantic comedies and try to help him win back Cadie.
In Wooing Cadie McCaffrey, Bethany Turner realistically describes the struggles and temptations that Christians face when dating in the 21st century, while still trying to stay true to their religious beliefs. Other Christian fiction novels often gloss over these issues or do not mention them at all, but Bethany Turner continues to bring a needed voice to Christian fiction. This book is very highly recommended for readers of Christian fiction who love romance and humor.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Revell through NetGalley and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine. After reading the ebook from NetGalley, I enjoyed the book so much that I also purchased my own paperback copy.
In this new book by Bethany Turner, you meet Cadie McCaffrey. Cadie turns thirty when she meets Will, who she thinks is the love of her life. After four years and no proposal, she decides maybe he doesn’t feel the same way about her. Will is stressed and preoccupied with work. When Cadie tells him that it is over, Will will do anything to change her mind. Can Will woo Cadie and win her back? The timeline of events and how Ms. Turner leads the reader through each event provides the reader with important information when it is needed. The secondary characters are wonderful as well. I really enjoyed reading their stories as well. This is a love story, but also examines relationship issues and shows the importance of forgiveness. This book is absolutely delightful! This is the second book I have read by Ms. Turner. This would be a great summer read while you are relaxing on vacation. I highly recommend you read this book! You will not be disappointed!
***I was given a free electronic copy of this book from the publisher. This is my honest opinion. Even though I received this copy free, this is my own opinion.
I can’t even begin to tell you how much I absolutely loved this delightful book. Gosh, it’s just so good! Such a breath of fresh air. Such a wonderfully funny and smile-inducing read. I was snorting with laughter all the way through. But there were also serious moments, moments of real depth, too. It had a nice balance to it.
You could probably say that this book classifies as “edgy” Christian Fiction. Topics not normally found or discussed in this genre were present which I enjoyed. It made this book feel more “real”.
This was one of my most highly anticipated releases for the year and it completely blew my expectations out of the water. I loved Bethany Turner’s The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck so stinking much, but this one’s even better! I didn’t think it was possible. I’d love to see it made into a movie one of these days. It’d be awesome.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and comments are my honest opinion.
Confession: I unintentionally read this book in one day and completely loved it!
Bethany Turner is truly becoming a writer to watch out for in the rom-com genre. She had me laughing in the silliest of scenes, and had me cheering for Cadie and Will the ENTIRE book! Even through heartache, hurt, disappointment and confusion. And there’s more than a handful of that. But to every set-down, they’ll discover there is hope if forgiveness is given and fought for with love.
What’s special about Turner’s book is that her comedy never borders on ridiculous. I can only describe her writing as raw and vulnerable. Honestly portraying our flaws and how we can hurt each other so easily, but also, showing that there is something more powerful than our brokenness that holds us together.
