Dream if You Dare…Tormented by her nightmares, Kalila longs for a normal life with sweet dreams, a white picket fence and epic love…everything she can’t have. When the man of her dreams—literally— kidnaps her and claims to possess a cure, she wants to believe him. She wants to believe the passion Lydon awakens in her is real too. But trusting him is easier said than done since her night … done since her night visions predict he’ll kill her.
Lydon will stop at nothing to be free of his enslavement to the V’alkara, a dangerous brotherhood who feed on dreams. Sassy dreamcaster Kalila may be the key to his escape, but not if the V’alkara destroy her first. No matter how much she protests or what risks he must take, he intends to keep her safe—and in his arms—for as long as possible.
Every second Lydon remains by his dreamcaster breathes life into his cold, tortured heart, and the longer Kalila spends with Lydon, the more she aches for him. But night visions never lie…and sometimes love requires the ultimate sacrifice.

The world building in this book is crazy in the most wonderful way. So imaginative and colorful. The hero, Lydon, is the stuff of nightmares, literally. But there is something there that goes beyond the normal five senses, and it moves through the entire story, almost like a secret revealed. I can’t wait to read more from this author and can only hope her other offerings are as exquisite! Thank you for an amazing adventure.
Wheeled me right in from the first words-to-paragraphs on the page. I kept turning the pages to get to the next scene. Dream are normal. Dreams that come true can be called something else. Dreams that come true and cause injury or worse are called nightmares. Kalila has a problem. When she dreams bad things can happen. She wants nothing more that to be free from it all. But being kidnapped was not part of her wants.
Lydon has plans for the lovely dreamer. Plans that include kidnapping her. Fight his attraction or the leaders of his people were not part of the plan. There are worse things in the night.
Wonderfully Wicked has me charged up and ready to fight with what I have and win the battle with my dreams/nightmares.
I enjoyed the world that Burright introduced me too. I was delighted and did not put the book down until I was finished. I loved Lydon’s wit, bravery, protective, bad boy but sweetly vulnerable personality towards Kalila. The story weaved a world of dreams and at times I was hard pressed to decipher what was a dream and what was actually happening. But that’s the genius in this book, you have to think and make your mind adapt to what you’re reading. It was intriguing and I liked it a lot.
Original paranormal setting and characters
This book had a little bit of everything and once I got into it, I found it captivating. The romance was a slow burn, and the action kept going to where I was always wondering what was coming next. There were more books in this series, but I didn’t purchase them.
Wonderfully Wicked is the first book in The Dreamcaster series, and we start off with Kalila. She is an ‘normal’ woman plagued with un-normal nightmares. These nightmares can come to life and hurt both Kalila and those around her if she allows them. Lydon is the Black, and has come to take her to the Alderwood where she will be stripped of the nightmares. This will help his order and Kalila, although she won’t survive long enough to appreciate that. His mission changes when she whispers his name, and he realises that she is HIS dreamcaster – the one he can be partnered with for life. Of course, now he just has to convince Kalila of this.
This is a fast-paced story, full of strong and sassy heroines, dark and brooding heroes, and slimy bad guys. It is very easy to see in which camp each character belongs. On the whole, this was a completely enjoyable story that kept my attention from start to end. The only time I got a bit confused was the jail break at the end, when Kalila seems to have a dream within a dream, and it changed from one scene to the next rather quickly.
An excellent start to the series, with a new and refreshing take on the paranormal scene. With no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt my reading, this story flowed easily. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and I look forward to the rest in the series. Absolutely recommended by me.
* A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book, and my comments here are my honest opinion. *

Archaeolibrarian – I Dig Good Books!
This story takes place in a new paranormal world of dreamcasters and those who need them to survive. As the this new world unfolds, so does the romance, action, and intrigue. It was easy to become engrossed in the story, its haunting charcters, and non-stop action. The romance is complicated, but definitely ends in happily ever although at certain point, you might wonder if this will all end in tragedy. Very much enjoyed the story and looking forward to next in the series.
I was not sure when I received this book if it would hold my attention.
It did- I opened it last night and couldn’t put it down till I had my answers.
Adored Kalila – strong, witty and not one to give up, no matter the odds.
Lydon stole my heart , he wants free and he wants Kalila, who linked to him.
Daxen links to Kalila also – not giving away how that works out 🙂
Burright did an excellent job of bringing alive the character’s and
the eccentricities of the Dream-casters and V’alkara. A must read for any
sci-fi romance lover. I have already downloaded book two from KU.
