#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • Millions of people have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face—who shows us that kindness brings us together no matter how far apart we are. Palacio’s highly anticipated new … don’t miss R.J. Palacio’s highly anticipated new novel, Pony, available September 2021!
I won’t describe what I look like. Whatever you’re thinking, it’s probably worse.
August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. Beginning from Auggie’s point of view and expanding to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others, the perspectives converge to form a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope.
R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

I think it is a good book to stop bullying
Soooo good. I saw the movie first and liked it, but the book is just way better. I literally wanted to just hug Auggie and be his friend. What a great book for seeing the real way people are, and how we should be.
For me, what made this book work was having the story told from several viewpoints. As a reader I had the opportunity to see Auggie’s situation from several angles. I’ve seen many children, from 8 years to teen, enjoying this story.
This is the story of August Pullman who is a 10 year old boy with a facial deformity. He has never been in public school, but by the time he is ready for 5th grade, his parents feel it is time for him to get out into the world and make friends his own age. Even though he is used to people staring at him and keeping their distance, he isn’t …

This is my review of the book.
Kids will be kids. R. J. Palacio hones in on the trials and rewards of trying to fit in at school and the rewards and loyalties of friendship. I teared up while reading certain sections. I could see this book added to a school curriculum.
All I have to say is totally inspirational .
This book is a wonder.
An influential book with a rare meaning.
We have to accept the difference, we are all human beings, and we have to live in peace with others even if they have All kinds of faults, to allow the negative things in everyone because no one is perfect. Perfect people exist only in mythologies and legends; you have to know …
August is a ten-year-old boy who is anything but ordinary. The story starts off by being told from his point of view but as you progress through the book the reader does get to see things from the viewpoint of others: his sister, his friends, for example.
Up until this point August has been home schooled but it has been decided that he should …
This book Wonder really made me think about how people treat each other in the world. For example when the you read Wonder it really makes you want to turn the page…but when you turn the page there may be a new problem. So it saddens me to know that many, many people in the world are being treated like this 🙁 . But it also makes me HAPPY to …
