From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Proby comes a new story in her With Me In Seattle series… Christmas together one she’ll never forget.
Noel Thompson has gotten her share of strange requests in her career as an interior designer. The call to design a beautiful home for Christmas is more like a dream come true. And that was before she met her new employer—sexy and mysterious, he’s everything she ever hoped Santa would bring her.
As Noel showers his home with holiday spirit, Reed showers Piper with love. And the busy life he’s created for himself no longer seems nearly as important as the one Noel is helping him build with his daughter. But if he can’t convince his decorator to stay, this could be the only year he feels the true wonder of the season.
Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you’ll enjoy each one as much as we do.

I’m giddy! I love the With Me In Seattle Series and am so happy to return to this world, even if it is a quick pop in with Noel, Reed and Piper. I couldn’t get enough; I was drawn in from the first page and left wanting so much more.
Kristen Proby fans will be pleased with the cameos of couples past, and if you’re new to her, it’s your chance to fall in love with Kristen’s style of feel-good writing.
I’ve been hearing good things about Kristen Proby and the With Me in Seattle series for quite some time now, so I jumped at the chance to check it out via a standalone novella released through 1,001 Dark Nights. I’m very happy I did because I loved “Wonder with Me.” It was an incredibly sweet story featuring likeable, well-developed characters and an enchanting Christmas setting.
The male lead character, Reed, was very charming, and it was easy for me to understand why Noel, the female lead, fell in love with him so quickly. It was adorable to see the way Reed doted on his little girl, Piper, and made such an effort to change his life to ensure her happiness. Noel’s burgeoning relationship with Piper was very cute, too. I loved watching the three of them come together as a family.
While Reed and Noel’s romance progressed very quickly, I completely believed in the feelings behind it. They were obviously very attracted to each other, but the author did a good job of showing that they had a strong emotional connection as well as a physical one. I also really appreciated the story’s message regarding the importance of making time for the people and things we love. It’s easy to get caught up in the mundane details of everyday life and work, and I know I can always use a reminder of the need to focus on what’s important, especially during the holiday season.
I look forward to catching up on the rest of the With Me in Seattle series soon.

5 Perfect Holiday Novella Stars
Kristen has outdone herself with this Super Sexy and Sweet Holiday Novella! Wonder With Me was the perfect balance between all things Christmas and Romance. It was just what I needed to take my Christmas Spirit to the next level.
Reed is so driven and hardworking and has never made relationships or celebrating holidays much of a priority. All of this changes when he finds out about the 4 year old daughter he never knew existed. Piper coming into his world unexpectedly was life changing and the first of those changes is to make the time to properly celebrate and decorate for the upcoming Christmas holiday. In walks Noel, a highly recommended designer and holiday decorator, to make all his holiday dreams come true. The instant attraction bounced off the pages. Noel tries to keep their relationship professional but Reed has no interest in a professional relationship with her. He wants it all and he’s willing to work for it!
I love the cameos from a few favorite OG Seattle characters and also some newer With Me in Seattle characters. Noel is Joy’s sister, from Love With Me, so naturally she is woven throughout the story along with Jace. We also get the picturesque Seattle scenery and a new cool Coffee Shop! When the scenery and businesses are a character of their own I’m in heaven. Kristen truly has a gift for writing books that suck you in and make you feel like you’re living in that “world”.
It seems I always end all my KP reviews with a mention of the characters she’s introduced in each book that I want more of. There were a couple in Wonder With Me that I’m hoping we will get more of sometime in the future. The first is Reed’s business partner and best friend, Elijah!! There is something there that I can’t put my finger on but I know I want to know more…ASAP! The other character that could be fun is Ali, Noel’s assistant. She and Noel have a fun gal pal friendship that I loved reading.
As always my message is the same… go now and one click! Treat yourself to the hottest holiday romance you’ll read this Christmas season.
Oh how I love returning to Seattle!
I loved this book. Anytime we get to return to the Seattle world is a good read. Reed and Noel were great. I just love instant chemistry stories. (Especially Christmas ones 😉 lol) Piper was just adorable.
My only wish that could make this book even better, would be if it I could make it longer haha. It was fantastic to see some other Seattle favorites in this story too. I just love when the stories connect and then get to keep going. It just makes these wonderful characters seem so real and close to you, when you get to keep track of them in this series from book to book. (Happy Sigh)
As usual Kristen Proby’s characters hooked me from the first page. Then it becomes love at first sight. I’m always happy to add another book boyfriend to the list and Reed will do nicely haha.
This is a novella…..meaning it’s short….but if you read the blurb you will know that. This is a cute little insta romance story. It is a good read when you need something to cheer you up. Dual point of view.
Luv !!!
Whenever I’m looking for a book that it light, sweet, Happy and sexy Kristen Proby is my woman. I luv her book and I really enjoy these 1001 Dark Nights. Wonder With Me is part of the With Me in Seattle series. Noel is the sister of Joy Jace’s wife in Love With Me. It’s a brilliant book by the way. I’m delighted Noel got her own book she is a great character and I luv getting to know more of her. Her and Reed’s story is so cute it’s a Insta luv with a sweet lil girl thrown in the mix. Reed nor Noel are looking for a relationship both there lives are crazy. Reed just found out he is a daddy and Noel’s business is crazy. But when Reed hires Noel to work on his decoration for Christmas there attraction for each other is crazy strong from there first meet. From there it just got stronger and they couldn’t keep away from each other. Was there luv quick hell ye but who has the right to say how quick someone can fall in luv.
This book was really good and it was just what I needed. With Me in Seattle is one of my favourite series by Kristen it just keeps getting better and better. I’m really looking forward to more from this series and her other. If you looking for a sweet read with a touch of sexiness read this book I would highly recommend it.
I received a review copy before release for an honest review.
I have to tell you I LOVE Kristen Proby. She is definitely a gifted author and some of her stories I love more than others and this one was a huge hit. I has a lot of heart, romance and Christmas and is prob one of my favorite books she has ever written.
It is part of the Seattle series but is sorta loosely connected. The female lead in this story is Noel Thompson and Noel is the sister of Joy Jace’s wife in Love With Me. We do get to see previous couples from this series as they casually know the male lead, Reed as he has done business with them. It is always fun seeing them in stories.
In this story Reed is a very single bachelor. He lives in a Penthouse and lives the single life and he LOVES his life. Until one day a bundle of joy is dumped on him. He now has a 4 year old daughter, Piper and he falls in love at first sight with Piper.
He changes his life pretty much overnight and he buys a house but its Christmas and Piper is missing her mom and so he hires Noel to give it a festive spirit. And Noel is such a fun character. She is feisty and flirty and she is very excited about this job and she has a lot of fun redecorating for Reed and Piper.
Reed meets her and he sees something in her and so he tries to get her to see him as more than a client. And I am not spoiling anymore of this wonderful story. This is one of those stories you will read over and over again because as I said it will make you smile, laugh and give you a lot of joy.
Reed Taylor is a handsome workaholic that barely makes time for anything besides more work. That is, until one day his world shifts and a precious 4 yr old girl enters his life… and steals his heart. Reed is faced with parenting 101 and wanting to help little Piper adjust to her new surroundings. Noel Thompson is a hungry interior designer that recently started a successful business. Her schedule is tight, but she takes on customer Reed Taylor during the holidays as a last minute job. Reed and Noel have insta-chemistry that makes it hard to put this book down. It’s a quick read, but so good!! This novella was heart touching and little Piper is adorable and steals your heart along the way!
Wonder With Me is a novella that is part of 101 Dark Nights. It is a “wonder”-ful extension to the With Me In Seattle series by Kristen Proby
Two determine and successful people in Reed and Noel. With life unexpected journey that leads into a beautiful reunion of a father and daughter. Once Reed and Noel meets there definitely chemistry and love that’s last forever. They are truthful and have a lot in common. Excellent novella to he read in one setting. Kristen Proby never disappoints. Love this series and characters that brings sweet memories.
Workaholic Reed gets the shock of his life when he finds out he’s a father to a little girl. With her mother gone, he has no choice but to learn fatherhood rather quickly. Wanting to give Piper the best Christmas ever, he hires Noel to help decorate his house. He never expected to feel anything towards her, but the holiday season may end up giving him one more surprise – Noel’s love.
This is another fantastic read from this author! Some characters made appearances which was great. Anytime previous characters pop up, it makes the book so much better! This is a great holiday read!
Reed Taylor has never been a fan of the holidays, nor has he taken time outside of work to do anything except build his company. But when he learns he has a daughter only a few weeks before the holidays, he makes some big changes to bring a smile to Piper’s face during a difficult time.
Noel Thompson is especially busy during the holidays, but decorating for the holidays is one of her favorite parts of the job. A last minute job to fully decorate for Christmas has her excited to get down to business, and then she meets her client. The sexy, smooth single father is icing on the cake for this job.
I loved watching Reed as he adjusted (rather smoothly really) to having a 4 year old, and did everything in his power to make Piper’s eyes sparkle with joy rather than the sorrow they were filled with when she arrived. Noel’s excitement for her job and for doing everything in her power to make her clients happy helped ramp up the holiday spirit in this story.
This was a quick, fun holiday story with all the feels set in the With Me series world, but it stands alone completely for new readers. Because this is a novella, things move very quickly between this couple, but the speed of their relationship is paired with a quick camaraderie, chemistry, and great banter to build the connection between them.
ARC provided for review purposes
There is something about Kristen Proby’s writing that completely draws me in. Her characters are fun, witty, mature, and charming. I certainly found that to be the case with Reed and Noel (and Piper!). I am a sucker for a single-parent book, but especially a single-dad (such a sexy quality!!). But after that initial meeting between Reed and Piper, I was completely and absolutely in love! The love that Reed has for his daughter is what all daughters should feel. It is a true testament to Proby’s writing that she can make me fall in love as quickly as I did!
Novellas generally aren’t my thing because so often it is difficult to fully develop the characters. I am one who needs to feel connected to the characters, and if that is accomplished, I will love a book. Kristen Proby is one who manages to do that in her books, and Wonder With Me was no exception.
I always look forward to Proby’s books, but certainly look forward to more about Reed, Noel, and Piper!
There is nothing I like more than a sweet, magical romance at this time of year, and Wonder With Me by Kristen Proby was just about the perfect holiday read!
Reed Taylor is a workaholic who doesn’t have time for relationships. However, his life changes in a matter of seconds, when he learns that he is the father to a sweet four-year-old, Piper! So, what does he do? He throws himself completely into being the best father. He falls instantly in love with her. Since this is her first Christmas, he plans on making it “picture-perfect.” He hires Noel Thompson whom is one of the best interior designers in Seattle. Neither one of them has any idea that this will completely change the direction of their lives.
There was nothing I didn’t love about this book, except that I wish it was longer…but it is a novella. The characters were just fantastic! I loved Reed, Noel, and Piper individually, and I loved them even more together.
The story moved quite quickly, but Proby packed it full of emotions. There were a few bumps in the road, yet there wasn’t a great deal of angst.
I have not read many books in the Dark Night Series, but I just totally LOVE the premise of it. Readers will learn what it is in the very first few pages. What an ingenious concept!!!! In addition, each book is by a different author, and we get a peek into what they write. You never know when you might find a brand new writer that you LOVE!!!!
Oh my goodness! What a great way to dive into the holiday spirit – the perfect Christmas read.
Reed Taylor gets the surprise of his life when he finds out that he has a daughter after the mother dies and four-year-old Piper is all of a sudden in his life. A proclaimed life long bachelor he now turns into full-time daddy. And let me tell you – Piper and Reed together absolutely melts your heart.
Noel is called at the last minute to decorate a house for Christmas and when she arrives and meets Reed and Piper, she just can’t resist making this new daddy’s wishes come true for the precious new daughter he wants to spoil on her first Christmas with him.
Sparks fly between Reed and Noel and before you know it, she’s spending as much time as possible with the duo.
This book was a total swoon fest! I loved every minute and the only thing wrong was that I wish the book could have gone on forever!
Wonder with Me by Kristen Proby
I am voluntarily reviewing this ARC.
This novella lit me up from first sentence to last. It is the perfect pick me up if you’re lost in the craziness of the season and just need a minute. My only complaint…I wish it was longer. I am literally head over heals in love with all three of these characters. Reed…yum! Single dad. All around amazing human. Appropriately remorseful over not being mature enough to be invested with his daughters mother. Noel…strong. Fierce. Kind. She works long hours as a sought after decorator. She is miss professional but can’t help
notice her latest client. And then there’s Piper. Four years old and just lost her mom. Meets her dad for the first time and literally reading this little girl made my ovaries hurt. This is story is beautiful and sweet and fun and I honestly give it all of the stars in the universe.
A feel good Christmasy Love Story, single dads and a little girl to melt your heart.
Reed and Piper only meet after the sad loss of Piper’s mommy, but as soon as they meet they have a connection.
I loved how they were together, and it was going to be someone special to break through their barriers.
Noel was hired to give Piper’s first Christmas with her daddy, a very special touch.
I really enjoyed the connection between Noel and Reed, and how they both tried to keep it professional but when your’re hit by the Lovebug and Cupid’s arrrow you just can not fight it…
I loved that whilst brief we got to catch up with Jules and Nate, just love the With Me in Seattle series, it has a familiarity but we get to meet new characters and love how the connection works through.
Thank You Inkslinger and the author for a complimentary copy. I voluntarily reviewed this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
Wonder With Me
By: Kristen Proby
*REVIEW*
I’ve grown to love the 1001 Dark Nights Collection. Wonder With Me is a new novella addition that is adorable for the holidays. Reed is a single guy who suddenly has a four year old daughter, Piper, whom he has never met. Unfortunately, the girl’s mother has died, so Reed finds himself a single dad. He hires designer Noelle to make his home a beautiful Christmas land for his daughter. This child has taught Reed what is important in life, and he knows Noelle is important. Does she have any feelings for him, though? They could possibly be a happy little family if the stars align. This is a delightful and sweet read about priorities and family versus work. What is important to you? I enjoyed reading this novella and definitely recommend it.
Can I just pack it up and move to Seattle?
Well.. wait. I will move to Seattle only if I can have regular run-ins with these beautiful, amazing folks.
Reed, Piper and Noel included.
If you are looking for a sweet, super sexy, fun holiday read, look no further. Wonder With Me is all about it. Think of it this way… if Hallmark ever decided to explore a more raunchier, they should contact Kristen Proby to launch the concept.
This was a such a cute, fast and sweet read that gives us a little dose of a serial favorite. I really can’t wait for the next installment in this series.
Add this to your TBR list, today!
The wonder in a child’s eyes during the holidays…the wonder of a new love just starting to bloom…the wonder of a life so unlike the current one. These wonders and more are what readers witness in Kristen Proby’s newest release, WONDER WITH ME.
There’s something about a single-dad story line that always gives me the feels. And the way Proby crafts Reed Taylor’s relationship with his daughter, four-year-old Piper, is a connection forged in love, even though he didn’t know about her until now. Noel Thompson is a familiar character for avid readers of Proby’s series, and I’m so glad that we were able to see her find her happy, even if she wasn’t actually looking for it.
Reed and Noel are quite the hardworking pair, singularly focused on their respective businesses, making no room for anything else, but for Reed, his perspective changes when Piper comes into his life, and for Noel, it’s the chance to give Piper the best Christmas ever and help Reed find a way to share in the wonder of the season and realize that there’s nothing like a child’s love to help someone understand what’s most important in life.
With Me in Seattle is the series that began my love affair with Kristen Proby’s writing and her characters. Come Away with Me will always be one of my favorite reads because it’s one of a handful of books that I read when I started reading romance. So that means, I’ll take any opportunity to head back to Seattle and indulge in this amazing world and those who inhabit it.
4 Poison Apples
Sometimes I feel as though Kristen Proby just knows what I need. Having just finished an intense mystery story, I picked up Wonder With Me and dove in. It was like a balm after the stress of my previous book. I do my reading primarily at night. Reading helps me wind down and turn off the day. As always with (most of) Kristen’s books, Wonder With Me was like wrapping my favorite blanket around me on a rainy day. It’s good for the soul. I don’t like to give away details in my reviews as I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone. But I will say that it is a quick read that takes place at Christmas time. Perfect! Almost no angst, just a very sweet, easy read. Loved it!
