Women Under Fire (Grayce Walters, #2), my sixteenth read from author Jacki Delecki and I have to admit I was only familiar with this author from the Code Breakers series and then her Impossible Mission series before starting this series! I’d gotten this book back in November of 2018 & other books got in the way of my reading it. No matter what era she writes in you can always count on wonderful character development. Delecki has created another series of books that you cannot wait to get to the next one. As always I look forward to the next book in this series, they’re that good. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 – July 24, 2018)
Women Under Fire is the 2nd book in Ms. Delecki’s Grayce Walters Romantic Suspense Series and the 1st book that I’ve read by her. I really liked her writing style and that she included so many strong women in this book, this was truly impressive. Grayce’s character didn’t let anyone or anything get in her way to do the right thing in helping others with her gift of healing animals and helping people in need. The twists and turns in the plot keep you reading and cheering for the good guys. I’m definitely reading the next book in the series.
The author accurately depicts Seattle locations, makes interesting characters, and provides a logically developed plot I can buy in on. The editing is quite good, almost perfect. The complete presentation is obviously the work of an experienced author who knows how to engage her readers. I want to read the entire series!
Breath stealing, non-stop action as Grayce searches for a missing woman and somehow gets tangled up with an eco-terrorist. Davis, her handsome fire-detective boyfriend insists on protecting Grayce but, well, you know Grayce!
First book I’ve read in this series and enjoyed it. Will be looking at the rest of the books.
Ebook from net galley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are my own.
Women Under Fire by Jacki Delecki is the second book in the Grayce Walters series and was a fascinating read for me. I started this series with book #3, MEN UNDER FIRE, and enjoyed it so much that I had to start at the beginning. The fascination of this book for me is that the plot regarding the environmental activist group and the bomb is the same one in book #3 but this time the story is being told from Grayce’s viewpoint.
I love getting to know Grayce, Ewan and James even more in this book. These characters are well developed and so rich in details. I loved seeing Ewan’s Aunt Adeline again as she seems to be so much more that just the small glimpses that I’ve seen of her. Her intuition is a match for Grayce’s which just added to the plot. The twists, the turns, the romance between Ewan and Grayce that is beginning to look a lot like love and the eco-terrorist that is truly crazy and devious all combined to keep me turning the pages every chance that I got.
I enjoyed meeting Maddy and Hunter in this book as I know book #4 is their story. Hunter was cold and put me off in this book at first. There was some redemption for him at the end of the book but I am looking forward to seeing how Jacki redeems him in book #4.
I was given a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
Grayce and Davis are back in Book 2 of the Grayce Walters Romantic Suspense Series. When Grayce joins in the search for a missing military woman, she falls into a web of intrigue and danger. I truly enjoyed this second book in the series. It is a page turner. I couldn’t put it down. I loved the growing depth of the relationship between Davis and Grayce. When Davis accepts a job offer out of state, their relationship is put to the test. Can they stay together or will the strain of distance pull them apart? I highly recommend this series.
