An alpha without a pack is nothing. I lost everything six years ago. My family. My home. And my mates. My parents raised me to take their place as alpha, only to have it all thrown away in an instant. Now, as a lone wolf, I rescue kidnapped and endangered shifters because no one deserves to suffer like I did.I have friends. I have community. But it kills me to not have what every alpha needs–a … me to not have what every alpha needs–a pack to lead with a fated mate at my side.
A night with a sexy, masked incubus only deepens my longing for a pack of my own. It was supposed to be casual, but I can’t keep myself from going back for more.
If that wasn’t enough, two of my former mates show up out of the blue with news about my third.
He’s still alive.
Wolves of the West is the first in a reverse harem trilogy with a tough-as-nails heroine, heart-pacing action, and kindle-melting steam, including the M/M variety.
This trilogy takes place in the same world as Crystal Ash’s other series, Unholy Trinity and the Shifted Mates Trilogy, and will feature many of the same characters.

I am a huge Ash fan so when I saw she was starting a new series of course I had to jump right on it. Nona is one string female character that has had to deal with some rough stuff but she has persevered thanks to great friends such as Deja and Astrid. I love the whole same world but different stories thing going on as it makes me feel like I am not missing anything after their stories ended though it is not necessary to read those if you are wanting to try this awesomeness. Nona gets quite a few surprises during this book which sets things up quite well for future installments. Great world building with strong characters all mixed up in a fascinating story. I truly love everything Ash has written I must say with this as no exception so I give it 5/5 stars.
Wolves of the West by Crystal Ash is the first in her series Northwest Wolf Pack and I’m such a fan of her writing. Maybe we were totally spoilt by her Steel Demons Series but even still this world is full of shifters, demons, witches and Blaze, and it’s great! The book is a quick read but the characters are pretty cool, the world building is enjoyable and the damn cliffhanger has me looking for book 2.
Really great story, I really loved that the alpha was a female. There are wolves, witches, demons, shifters, Hellhounds and more in this story; enough to keep it diverse and interesting. The plot was good for a “first in series” and I will be reading the others. There are also a bunch if characters from other series by this author and now I want to go back and read those.
The only reason I removed a star from my rating was the incessant “I don’t want to be alpha” from the main character. Everyone knew she was going to become the pack leader, aka alpha, even her, so why was it mentioned every other page that she didn’t want it? It didn’t fit the rest of the story for me.
Wolves Of The West is Book 1 in the Northwest Wolf Pack series. This is my first read of a Cyrstal Ash book and I plan on reading many more. I found her world building to be excellently descriptive and character development to be so realistic that you feel you know these characters. Her prose draws you into the story and keeps you on the edge of your seat and turning pages to the end and leaves you wanting more. I highly recommend this book. Received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.
OMG! Can I just say WOW!!
“Wolves of the West” is a creatively written masterpiece of paranormal storytelling from Crystal Ash. The storyline is fast-paced, with smoking hot drama, caring and love with twists and turns that are so exciting and adventurous that it takes your breath away and holds it until the last page. The scenes and characters are so realistic and authentic with such interesting depth, it feels like a movie playing out in your head. I can’t wait to read the next book!
I received a copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a fantastic reverse harem trilogy with a tough-as-nails heroine & heart-pacing action. A fantastic storyline that had me on the edge of my seat with great characters that will have you really feeling for them! Throw in some steamy scenes and you have one heck of a great start to this series!
I had previously read the prequel to this series and have been eagerly anticipating this book. Let me tell you I was not disappointed, it has a strong start and just gets better as it goes. I love the characters, the storyline, the conflicts and the cliffhanger ending definitely left me wanting more.
This book was amazing! Nona is a true kick*ss heroine that will slap the shit out of you but will protect you if need be. Crystal Ash knows how to rope a reader in and make them lose themselves in characters so real (or as real as they can be when reading of paranormal ) that you want to know them and be their BFF! I’ve read a few other books of her but this one is by far my favorite! Can’t wait for more!! Crystal…I feel like we should be BFF for real! For your characters to be this bad*ss, I know you gotta be too!
ONE THRILLING DELIGHT!!!
Crap on toast! Crystal brings it when she comes, and she comes out swinging. There is nothing held back or cut short that feels it was in anyway rushed. She packs a punch and leaves you wanting more. She ropes every emotion you have spinning a vortex that draws you in so deeply, your only focus is on the bad boy playing out before you. You’re kept on a razors edge, barely breathing hanging on tightly throughout. She lays out one amazing storyline and smoking plot that brings this bad boy roaring to life flawlessly. The characters personalities are authentic, genuine and realistic with such depth and qualities it feels like you can just reach out and touch them. The scenes are so graphically detailed and descriptive it’s like being transported to ground zero with them. Remarkable job Crystal, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.
I have to say that Crystal Ash is now one of my favourite authors. I absolutely loved reading this book. This is my first introduction to her books and I love how she brings her characters alive and makes think of them as your very good friends.
Nona has been separated from her pack and has become a lone wolf. But she doesn’t let this keep her down, she sets out to help other wolves and other shifters as well as witches by rescuing them or taking them in and giving them a new home after they have become displaced due to the humans setting out to kill them or use them in other ways.
Rowan and Callum were her childhood friends who became her mates but were separated by the displacement and Blaze was killed right in front of them six years ago. But while Nona was mourning him, he was still alive, but was unable to be near her, although he was watching over her. Rowan and Callum were running and fighting for their lives along the east coast, while they were running, they turned to each other for comfort and love until they could return to be with Nona again. There is a fight for the right to be alpha over the rescued wolves and for Blaze as well. I can’t wait to read the rest of the books in this series.
I was given an advanced copy copy of this book and I freely leave my honest review.
Good book that is a nice read on its own, but is even richer if you have read the author’s other series as characters from them show up in this one.
Absolutely loved this book. The story is very well written with great characters. I couldn’t put this book down. I was hooked from the beginning. Crystal Ash is an outstanding author. I highly recommend reading this book. (I received this book as an arc and am leaving a voluntary honest review.)
I loved reading this! Some old characters from the unholy trinity among some new ones. The story was fast and so entertaining. Nona was a fantastic character that was feisty, smart, has a big heart and intriguing. Her men are hot and those scenes were yum! Crystal knows how to word a story to keep you engaged till the very end. This start of a new series had everything. You will love this new spin off and with that ending… It’s going to be an exciting series overall. Amazing writing, exciting plot, intriguing characters and hot scenes! Five stars!
I received an arc for an honest review
I love how Crystal Ash writes, she keeps you wanting finish the book in one reading. We have brought back some of the many characters of another series to bring us loving how everything turns out for them, but yet something else in store for them now. What will happen” Cant wait for book 2 Wolves of the East. I received this book free for my honest review.
Wolves of the West (Northwest Wolf Pack #1) by Crystal Ash is an amazing start to a brand new series that I have fallen in love with. I can not wait to read the next book in this series and I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about shifters.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
This was very interesting. Nona is one hell of woman. She is alpha to her deepest core, even more because she not feel worthy this responsibility. Trough actions and situations she find her true place. She was through so many ups and downs with her mates, finally finding peace and order within them. And it’s of course when things go completely west.
I have been looking forward to Nona’s story and now it’s here! And what a book!!
I was totally enthralled from the get go. The antics had me laughing so hard, though there were parts that made me cry. If you want to laugh, cry and be totally intrigued, this is the book for you. The characters are so fantastic! Plenty of great interaction, fantastic story line! You won’t regret it!!
Wolves, Magic, Hellhounds, and a little bit of Hell
A fantastic read!! i read this story featured in the exclusive limited edition fated mates anthology! i am so happy it got is solo release so everyone can read it now!! so good!! this universe is big! it features other characters from the same world (unholy trinity series, & shifted mates trilogy) it was awesome seeing them !! its an easy read and gets you hooked from the beginning!!! cant wait for the next book!
Crystal did it again with this new series, this time focusing on Nona and the wolves. I was so excited to see it pick up right where Unholy Trinity Series ended. Nona has been through a lot over the years, then she’s reunited with her mates, and has to learn to believe in herself. The ending leaves you wanting more and I can’t wait to see what happens next.
I absolutely loved this look at Nona and hopefully her HEA. You will laugh at some of the antics and cry with these characters. I cannot wait to see where this series is going to go. There is enough intrigue that will make you wonder what happens next.
