Romantic, fun, and adorable story. Vinnie is a great guy and meeting Shayla turned his world upside down. They had a beautiful chemistry that was heartwarming. He may make some mistakes but he proves himself to be the person we have seen throughout this series with his loyalty, and protectiveness to make everything better. I enjoyed this book.
Vinnie is a member of the Wind Dragon’s Motorcycle Club. He owes Talon from the Wild Men MC a marker aka a favor with no questions asked. The favor comes in the form of Talon’s cousin Shayla. Shayla’s father was an accountant and was sent to prison for fraud and embezzlement. This left a lot of bad guys hunting Shayla to see if she knew anything about their shady business deals. Vinnie is sent to watch over Shayla and protect her until Talon can figure out a better plan.
This being a romance, we all know how this goes haha. I really enjoyed seeing these two together and seeing their interactions with one another. Their attraction was immediate, even I could feel it bouncing off the pages. I won’t go into details because of spoilers but it’s a very fun ride!
Vinnie melted my heart while reading this story. He was given up by his parents as a child and placed into foster care until he aged out. He has a difficult time trusting others, especially women given that his mom gave him up. Vinnie didn’t seem to have the best of childhoods from what information was shared with the reader. I just wanted to reach into the book and give him a hug.
Shayla ironically was adopted by her family. Her mother passed away when she was younger and all she had left was her father whom she looked up to. I felt really bad for her when her father went to prison. I also felt for her having to bounce around house to house in hiding.
Overall, these two made quite the story. I also loved seeing the other MC members throughout the story. It’s feels like one big, happy family. Sign me up to join!!!

I keep falling in love with each of these WDMC men!
This series has consumed my life for four days so far. I am so in love with each and every one of these characters. Vinnie has been an important figure from the very beginning. He has that young brother vibe for all the old ladies that have joined their family. He’s sweet and caring and always there to protect those that need it.
So when Talon from their rival club calls in a market, he’s there to do what he does best…protect Shayla, Talon’s cousin. Vinnie’s preconceived notions are not even close to the kind of person Shayla is. Though she was raised with money, LOTS of money, she’s nowhere near the spoiled brat he expected her to be. She was strong and stubborn and independent. Just like the rest of the WDMC old ladies; which means she’s perfect for them.
Their story was filled with instant connections, suspense and action – an all around whirlwind romance for another Wind Dragon.
I really enjoy this series and have loved getting to know each of them a little bit more with each book. Rake has always been my favorite but there was always something about Vinnie that kept me interested and I always wanted more of him. I’m so happy we got his story.
Vinnie owes a marker to the President of Wild Men MC, a rival club to the Wind Dragons. When this marker is called out, Vinnie is asked to protect a woman that is close to the rival club. As soon as he meets Shayla, he’s instantly annoyed with what he considers a babysitting job. He thinks she’s a rich spoiled brat. How will he ever survive a week with this torture?
Shayla is annoyed that Vinnie is so quick to stereotype her because she’s rich but she also can’t help starting at him. She’s instantly attracted to him but she can’t stand the way he keeps taking jabs at her because of her wealth. How will she ever survive a week with this complete jerk who is judging her?
I want to start with Shayla. I just absolutely adored her. She is a tiny bundle of fire and sass yet she has a heart of gold. She gives Vinnie a run for his money when he first starts watching over her. She fits in well with the others and just overall belongs with them. Easy transition.
I knew I would like Vinnie. Like I said earlier, there has always been something about him that just kept me wanting to know more. He’s honest and hard-working. His past has shaped who he is and why he is so loyal to those he calls his family. The club is his life and the special relationships that he has with the Old Ladies is just awesome.
Although I typically love really gritty MC books, this series has a great balance of angst along with the sweetness. Vinnie seems to bring a little bit more of the romance in his story with Shayla that just seemed to work perfectly with some of the angst that we get. There’s enough action that should keep you satisfied if you are an angst junkie. I think a lot of people will like this balance. Don’t worry if you haven’t read the other books. It can be read as a standalone. However, the rest of the guys are awesome and I do recommend you reading them just so you get to really know them all.
Vinnie knew eventually the call would come and the mark would need to be repaid, but the mission Talon is asking him to complete comes with complications he wasn’t really planning on, playing babysitter to a spoiled princess isn’t exactly what he had in mind. But being a man of his word he decides to suck it up and pay the debt that is due… spending seven days with a little rich girl can’t be that damn hard… can it? Once he lays eyes on her though, he knows he may just have signed up for far more than he bargained for… she has an effect on him he didn’t account for and when his seven days with her come to an end, he has the really fight the urge to go…
Shayla has found herself in a bit of trouble, and with a target on her back, now she is forced to put her life in the hands of a man she knows nothing about. He’s everything she should avoid, but they have this magnetic pull between that she is having a hard time letting go of, there’s just something about him that pushes all of her buttons in the best possible way. But there days together are numbered, and so getting involved with him could be serious torture on her heart…
Once again Ms. Fernando has created a sinfully blissful literary escape for readers with this return visit to her sexy biker world… and I am certain the minute you enter their world you’ll never want to leave!! These men are alpha to the bone, sexy as hell, and equipped with all the skills to leave you highly satisfied and permanently weak in the knees!! I knew from meeting Vinnie in previous installments that he would be a force to be reckoned with, but I was seriously not prepared for all this man had to offer, the minute he waltzed onto the page I felt everything in me gravitate in his direction, and I knew he was going to leave a mark… and boy did he ever, three days later and he’s still lingering with me!!! He is definitely earned himself a prestigious spot on my list of favorites for sure, and a character I won’t be letting go of anytime soon!! Ms. Fernando has definitely outdone herself with this one, I highly recommend you take the opportunity to meet Vinnie and his fellow Wind Dragons, they are certain to have you swooning from start to finish!!
