It’s a new generation of de Wolfe Pack cubs, carrying on the tradition of their illustrious grandfather. Thomas “Tor” de Wolfe has his hands full with battling women and battling enemies as he tries to secure a border castle for Edward I. Chaos is the name of the game!Tor married, and lost, his wife at a young age. Because his wife was an orphan, he inherited her two sisters when they wed and … when they wed and when she died, they became his responsibility.
Unfortunately, the two spinster sisters view Tor as their property.
When Tor meets the worldly Isalyn de Tuberville, he is smitten. Isalyn, however, is not. Tor is big and handsome, but lives too much of a provincial life. She wants big cities, excitement, money, and no baggage of a dead wife. Isalyn’s father, however, feels differently – and Isalyn finds herself betrothed to the gentle de Wolfe giant. The spinsters have a new target.
Let the battles begin!
Enter a world of medieval mayhem, adventure, but most of all, of an overwhelming passion that soon consumes both Tor and Isalyn. Add Lady Isalyn’s former ambitious and jilted suitor into the mix, and it could mean the end for everything they have worked so hard to build.
But a strong love is worth fighting for, and no love is stronger than that of a de Wolfe.

Loved it
This book takes you back to the Medieval age with non-stop action and adventure. I enjoy books about knights, laced with love and danger. This one will not disappoint!
I absolutely loved Wolfestrike. Kathryn has the capability to to make her characters really come alive, and draw you into the drama of the story. It was sad and tragic, romantic and exciting. An edge of your seat read that will make you wanting more of Kathryn’s great stories.
Loved this story of Tor and Isalyn. Tor experienced tragedy at a young age when he lost his wife and son in childbirth. Seventeen years later, he meets adventurous, independent and outspoken Isalyn and is immediately smitten. WolfeStrike is short, but packed with adventure, drama, humor and emotion. Looking forward to reading more from the de Wolfe clan.
Love Kathryn LeVeque’s epic tales! Highly recommend.
Epic Medieval Romance! Each page kept me wanting more! I love how the author included family members from past, giving the story a familiar feel. Well done!
A dishonorable knight messed with the wrong family and is on the run. Tor de Wolfe and his family of knights are hunting him down. Instead of surrendering, Tor kills him in a fight. Returning the body to the man’s family is the right thing to do. Rescuing a lady in danger is a knight’s duty and Tor doesn’t mind helping the lady. Circumstances are complicated and become dangerous when two vipers are waiting to strike. A compelling love story of a knight in shining armor. You just can’t put down a book by Le Veque until it’s finished!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
WolfeStrike by Kathryn Le Veque is book Two in the de Wolfe Pack Generations Series. This is the story of Thomas ‘Tor’ and Isalyn. I have yet read the previous book, so for me this was a standalone book. Tor is a widower of about 17 years who has taken care of his two sister in laws at the request of his wife on her deathbed. In their present day, the sisters are not the easy of women and are very territorial of him. Tor ends up meeting Isalyn who he is smitten with but she doesn’t seem to warm to fast to him. But things are set in motion for them to be betrothed. But of course nothing goes easy with their path to happiness. I enjoyed this book and how it draws you into their story. I would recommend this book and this author’s writing.
I’ve read I think most if not all the books about this family. You will be thrown a lot of character’s in the beginning. Especially hard when some have the same names. I even had to go back to read which son belonged to what father. But, don’t get discourage the family thins out and it will all make sense.
So emotional is the beginning with our H. I felt his pain, anguish and guilt. The story then jumps 17 years and his wards are spinsters now. All they want to do is protect the memory of there sister. As other reviewer’s have stated, I lost respect for him because he didn’t interact with them at all. Granted he was young when they became his wards, but he grew up and nothing changed. They are your main villains, not sweet like their sister who married the H.
The h was hard to get a feel for in the beginning. Times she was a know it all, and other times sweet. I did feel a connection to them and enjoyed the secondary character’s love story too, if not more.
There is mention of love between same sexes, but no interaction or anything described. There is a lot of tension and some suspenseful moments. Our h/H make love only once and mildly described outside of marriage. Heat level 2.5 out of 5.
There is one more villain and I almost forgot about him when reading the story. He has a plan at the beginning of the story and doesn’t appear until near the end. You figure out right away who is going to help him with his revenge. But, I thought the story was going one way, but nope KLV sent reader’s a curve ball -lol.
I enjoyed the epilogue a few years in the future and how everything comes together. I thought the H would fret more of the h getting pregnant because of history with his first wife. So I was surprised no mention that he was concerned.
As the author states, her books are stand alone and with no cliffhangers. We have no cheating, strong character’s, HEA, romance and a tad of spice. One swear word if I recall in a song, near the end. (ljb)
An exciting Medieval romance, the story is both romantic and interesting from a historical point of view. Widower Tor de Wolfe doesn’t have time for relationships, especially as he is haunted by the death of his wife and child whilst he was off fighting wars. That does not stop him going after the man who jilted his cousin and when he slays the man in combat, it becomes his responsibility to return the body of Steffan de Featherstone to his father. En route, he encounters Steffan’s sister Isalyn, whom he rescues from a bolting stallion. Although the attraction between them is instant, neither of them is ready to consider a relationship, Tor because of his past losses and Isalyn because she is headed back to the sophistication of London Town. Nevertheless, the heart does not obey the mind, and they find themselves exploring new possibilities. When Isalyn and her grieving father visit Tor’s stronghold, their attraction for one another is evident to everyone, including Tor’s sisters-in-law, who are universally disliked. Barbara and Lenore plot against Isalyn, but they are no match for her strong character and determination. Tor finds himself being torn between the remnants of his old love and the love that flares up between him and Isalyn. It takes an extreme act on the part of his late wife’s sisters to make Tor eventually take a stand and mete out judgment against the vindictive girls. Altogether, the novel is interesting, well written and entertaining and comes to a happy conclusion. I received a copy of this book as a gift through NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Tor, from the house of de Wolfe, fierce warrior and strong knight, a giant of a man that was gentle inside. He had lost his beloved wife Janie and their child when he was in battle. Feeling he had failed her, he fled with Janie’s two young sisters, leaving the Marches behind.
Now seventeen years later after that event Thor is with a group of knights, “A hunting party”, to find a runaway groom. I could get a visual of this large group of knights, all imposing and large, coming into the village on their mighty steeds!
That is when he met her.. Well, he ended up on the ground, with her on top, saving her from a runaway horse… yes.. and that is when the story changed!
Love this series and revisiting the world created by this author who is simply amazing!
Tor de Wolfe hasn’t felt anything since his wife died, until he rescues the feisty Isalyn de Featherstone. Isalyn is taken with the big Knight but their lives are so different, she loves the city he loves the country, she is independent and does what she wants when she wants, he is a Knight and will expect obedience from a wife.
The more Isalyn comes to know Tor the more she is falling for him. Tor can’t get Isalyn out of his thoughts. Tor and Isalyn will face many obstacles to be together one of the biggest will be his sister-in-laws that he took responsibility for when his wife died, who will stop at nothing to be rid of the woman who can take Tor away from them.
You will fall in love with Tor! His is such a gentle giant of a man, unless provoked then he is all Knight! Isalyn is feisty and the way she handles the sister-in-law’s, loved it! Definitely loved this book, can’t wait for the next!
Thomas “Tor” de Wolfe has his hands full with battles along the border and family, especially his dead wife’s sisters known as “the Vipers”. He’s sent on a family mission to retrieve his nieces runaway betrothed when he meets Isalyn de Featherstone sister to the man he’s after. I love that Tor is a sweet gentle giant, but in battle mode he’s become knight supreme especially when protecting his loved ones. Tor and Isalyn are instantly attracted to each, but will his sister-in-law’s the Viper’s win and come between them? A great story of finding love after he lost his wife seventeen years ago, Isalyn brings his heart back to life as never before, but will he risk it and love again? I have voluntarily read and reviewed the excellent book.
It is hard to believe that we are now reading about William de Wolf’s Grandsons. This is a remarkable adventure in the life of Thomas (Tor) de Wolf that holds you on the edge of your seat. Kathryn has blended Tor’s uncles and cousins into a mighty struggle against over empathetic women and enemies, while holding on to a secure border castle for King Edward the First. Tor’s first wife and child died while he was away battling enemies for a long period of time. When he returned home, he discovered his wife and child had died in childbirth and Tor was now responsible for his wife’s two sisters. Years pass and the sisters cultivate a feeling of possessiveness for Tor and he cannot belong to anyone else. This causes many problems, along with the suitor that left Uncle Blayth’s daughter standing alone at the marriage alter. I enjoyed reading and being brought up to date on many of the characters and some new ones that grace the pages of this book.
As usual Kathryn wrote another amazing book. Her books are always so accurate and interesting to read and you have a sense of being their yourself. I always loved her De Wolfe family history. They are my favorite.

But a strong love is worth fighting for, and no love is stronger than that of a de Wolfe.
Will some black souls find a way to tear them apart …
If you are new like me to Mrs Le Veque’s world, and read the introduction to this series by the author, do not fear to be drowned by the many protagonists.
I was at first overwhelmed but in fact only very few interfered in this one, so while the long list of William de Wolfe’s offsprings is unsettling, I only went back to check these first pages once. After I let the story follows its path and it was enough.
It was very easy to see where the plot would lead once the various characters and villains were introduced.
And while Tor is a nice man, he is at fault by never really caring for his wards, I can understand grief but if he only had taken sime times to get to know his late wife’s sisters, he might have prevented many hurt.
After if the fruit is rotten, it is.
But he chooses the coward way, letting others in charge and never really looking to correct their way, letting their soul fester to a decayed state.
I thought Isalyn at first a spoiled woman, when she is just one wanting to mark her time even if it is with her limited means.
She is no damsel in distress, she sees past most people’s mask and refuses to cower. She faces people’s threats her head held high.
Tor and Isalyn’s romance is cute like the lovely second one between Isabella and Fraser.
4 stars

WolfeStrike by Kathryn Le Veque is another of her fabulous de Wolfe stories. This time the hero is Tor de Wolfe, son of Scott, grandson of the legendary William, Wolfe of the North. When he was a young man, he was married to a woman named Jane, with whom he had grown up. They originally married because she was with child. That baby died in its mother’s womb in just a couple of months, but shortly there was a pregnancy to replace it. Tor went off to war and was gone for three months, during which time he had requested Jane not contact him, lest he lose his focus with thoughts of her and their child. When he returned home, he found that Jane and the baby had died and, keeping their promise, no one had contacted him. Her last wish was that he care for her two younger sisters, who were orphaned. He rode out that day to his father’s home, along with the two little girls. It is now 17 years later and he and the sisters, now older, but unmarried, lived in an outpost of his father’s: Blackpool. He had been north to attend the wedding of his cousin, Isabella, but was now searching, with a group of family knights, for the groom, who had taken off the day of the wedding.
I love the novels of Le Veque. They are like comfort food to me. I read them when I need a break, or when my reading has become tedious. This is vintage Le Veque: a man, a woman, sudden love, good sex, problems to be solved. This was an excellent novel with new and exciting problems to solve, which is a wonder given the number of novels she has written. Tor is a strong character, a man of few words who has been deeply wounded. He has caused his own problems and has to work out his own solutions. His uncle, Blayth, from an earlier novel is the father of the young woman involved. In fact, we meet several characters from previous novels, and some, from future novels. The plot is a strong one, as always, with plenty of subplots and intrigues to keep everything moving forward. Loved it, Kathryn. Thank you. I recommend WolfeStrike.

After his devastating loss Thomas “Tor” De Wolfe threw himself into his work and ignored his two young sisters in-law. Years later they are grown up and decided that he belongs to them and nobody else. Now he and other members of the Wolfe pack are hunting a worthless man who abandoned their cousin.
Isalyn De Featherstone had to come north to visit her father, but she has no intention of staying. She loves her life in London where she writes plays anonymously. She dislikes the restrictions placed on her and often escapes on her own.
Our heroine is far too independent for her own good. We just know it will bring her big trouble.
Our hero is a true De Wolfe, big brave and honourable. He like to believe everyone is just as trust worthy.
You can’t help but get fully involved in our characters lives, especially as there are so many family members that you will have met before in other stories. We get fun, romance and danger all the way through. A fabulous visit with old friends and new.
I loved every page.
I absolutely love getting myself lost in one of Kathryn Le Veque’s stories, especially when the de Wolfe family is involved! There’s never a dull moment in Tor and Isalyn’s story.
I loved Tor’s character, even after everything he’s gone through, he remains a gentle giant and a true warrior when need be. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to all have a Tor in our lives?! I adored Isalyn’s character as well, she may be young but what an independent spitfire she is. How she stood up to the two “Vipers” is priceless:) Tor had been a widower for 17 years when he meets Isalyn and it’s instant attraction. She gives him a second chance to love again, something he never thought would happen. I also enjoyed all the other characters who all play active parts in the story.
I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
