“I married her to protect her. I love her because I don’t know how to not love her.”
Wolfe Constantine married his friend’s little sister to fulfill a debt.
Nissa was kind, smart, and incredibly sexy. Everything he could want in a woman and more, but he had to keep his hands to himself. The marriage was never supposed to be real. Wolfe didn’t believe in happily ever after or commitment.
When … ever after or commitment.
When the impulse to touch her became too much, Wolfe chose to walk away.
Four years later and one bump to his head later, Wolfe has years missing from his memory. Including the fact that he was ever married.

Loved this second chance romance. They got married so she would not get deported! Good read and romance!

Wolfe lost his friend Jacque. He honors his friend by marrying his little sister. Especially with the loss of her family he feels like he can give her a new beginning. There is loss, pain, and love in this story. But worth the read. This is the third book I have read by this author. Good read.

This book is one of my favorite stories by Author Jen A. Durand. When Wolfe wakes up in his hospital bed, he is okay physically but he has effectively lost the last ten years of his life. His next of kin arrives to see to his care in the lovely form of a wife. Wolfe still knows some things about himself….he is controlling, he is a loner, he hates being confined, and due to the examples from his childhood he would NEVER marry anyone. But the lovely Nissa proves otherwise. I loved the pace of this story….told partly in flashbacks….as Wolfe and Nissa unravel the secrets of their life together and why Wolfe is trying so hard….if reluctantly….to run away. Sweetly, awesome story.

Jen A. Durand has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Nissa and Wolfe. Wolfe was Jacque’s friend. They were in the military together and when he was killed, Wolfe went to tell Nissa that her brother had been killed. She lived in Hitia and she was all alone. Jacque was all she had since they had lost their parents. Wolfe knew that Jacque wanted to bring Nissa to the States, so he offered to marry her and bring her back as his wife. He helped her learn English and get into college. After she finished college, Wolfe left her. It has been four years since she has seen him and she is now a nurse. She gets a call from a hospital saying that her husband had been brought in and was ready to be released but had to have someone with him. She drops everything to go and get him. When she gets to the hospital and sees Wolfe, he doesn’t remember her. She tells him that she is his wife and he said he was not married. She proves to him that she is his wife and she takes him home. As he spends more time with her and his memories come back his feelings for her are harder to fight. He slowly remembers why he was out camping and what happened to him. He was trying to figure out what to do about Nissa. When he married her all those years ago, it was just to help her out. He never thought that he would fall for her. He tries to push her away but she won’t let him. She tells him that she is there for him no matter what. He is her family since she has no one else.
Will Wolfe finally realize that Nissa is what he needs?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

3 STARS for Wolfe by Jen Durand
ARC received from Booksprout in exchange for an honest review. Opinions expressed are my own and have not been influenced in any way.
This book for me moved pretty slowly and to be honest did not really hold my attention.

Interesting characters with some real life issues / relatable problems
Wolfe Constantine marries Nessa to give her a chance to rebuild her life after her brother and parents deaths. They have been separated for (4) years when Wolfe has an accident and temporarily loses some of his memory – one important fact that he is married and that he loves his wife but is afraid of what they try to build together lasting. This story only starts to work when Nessa decides to go for what she wants – building a loving relationship with Wolfe.
This was the first book I have read by this author and although the premise of the storyline is a promising one it was just a bit lacking for me.

A fantastic book one and second chance romance in the Constantine Brothers series! It is engaging, heartwarming, sweet, well developed, and well written. The characters are amazing; the chemistry between them is off the charts! Definitely recommended!

Wolfe promises his friend he will take care of his sister, Nissa. Wolfe and Nissa marry and he brings her to the states. Once she is settled he leaves her but he has fallen for her but still walks away knowing that she wants to try. Years later they are brought back together. Nissa puts it out there that she wants to have a real marriage. Wolfe is a great character and is loving but needs a swift kick at times. Nissa is just a wonderful, loving, kind, and giving person. Together they make a wonderful pair. I liked this story and the way it flowed and the interesting twist that got them back together.

During a mission, Wolfe’s friend is killed by an IED. His friend had told Wolfe he had a sister, Nissa, so Wolfe took on the role of protector to care for her. He married her in name only and brought her home with him to the U.S. When he did all he could for her and felt she could now make it on her own, he left because he was having trouble hiding his feelings and he always thought of her as a little sister.
Nissa had always loved Wolfe but he wouldn’t believe she wanted to give their marriage a real chance. But when years later he has an accident resulting in memory loss, Nissa is his contact because she is his wife, even though he cannot remember marrying her. This is her opportunity to show him they can have a real life together. Will he be ready to fall in love with her now and be her husband? Or will his memories begin to come back and drive him away again?
I enjoyed this story and the hope that it brought for stubborn Wolfe to realize he is truly loved and wanted! Now he needs to accept his wife and enjoy this second chance to be with her before his former memories pushes her away again. Will he give in to the love he had for her? Grab your copy and read their story to see how it might turn out on this second time around.
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Wolfe married Nissa because of an obligation. She is younger, innocent and he is supposed to protect her even from himself. Nessa has always loved him but could never convince him to give them a real chance. When he could not deny the attraction any longer, he left her. Years go by and he has an accident and has lost his memory. They call his wife, the one he does not remember having. Nessa is determined to show him just how good they can be together. She wants to convince him that he does not have to hold back any longer. Wolfe is not sure what to do about the wife he is falling in love with. His memories returning might stop their second chance before it gets started. If they trust in their feelings everything will sort out. This was a roller coaster ride of emotions. The story is well written

This is book one in The Constantine Brother’s Series and it is Wolfe and Nissa’s story and what a great way to start a new series. This story was about loss, self worth, hope, moving forward and love and it was so well written and a moving story and I couldn’t put it down as I had to see what would happen next. I have read quite a few of Jen A Durand’s books and I have enjoyed every single one and I look forward to reading more in the future. I am really looking forward to reading Roman and Morgan’s story next. I recommend this book as it is definitely worth reading.

This was an incredibly sweet romance. I especially loved how well the past is weaved into the present, so you aren’t lost or feeling unclear about what happened previously as they move through their story. I’m actually a sucker for the amnesia trope, so I very much enjoyed seeing how this played out and despite the conflict that Wolfe had with himself and not wanting to be married, it was actually an incredibly sweet romance. I enjoyed how much we got to see of Nissa and Wolfe interacting with each other and getting to know each other again. Despite this being a very high angst subject matter, the book itself was not high angst, and none of the drama felt manufactured or overdone – it just worked really well. I can’t wait now to go and read the books about Wolfe’s brother Roman!
Thank you to Booksprout. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
Good story line with the amnesia take, however there was not enough interesting events in the book to keep my attention till the end and it took a few tries before I got through the book. The book started out flowing smoothly and then it just seemed to slow down. Characters did not have the depth that I would have like to have seen in a second chance more mature story.

Wolf and Nissa were really good characters. I like the way Wolf was written as he struck me as quiet and broody with a sense of bitterness. He was a good character. Nissa to me was sweet and a bit naïve, but smart and witty at the same time. This was a really good read. I enjoyed escaping to this universe.

Wolfe is the first book in The Constantine Brothers Series and focuses on the fake marriage between Wolfe and his friend’s sister, Nissa, which occurred so he could keep her protected and safe. When Wolfe develops amnesia from an accident, he forgets the circumstances of their marriage. This well written book is a second chance romance with amazing characters and a wonderful romance.

With Wolfe, Jen Durand wrote a lovely love story. With many sweet moments, very tender and hot interactions, and a few funny ones, the book lays out the perfect path for these two characters to come back together and love. It is also lovely that along that path, Wolfe and his brothers find their way back to one another. Wolfe married Nissa during a time that they were both mourning a devastating loss. He was her protector and benefactor. Though she made it clear to him that her feelings ran deep, he could not bring himself to be more than anything than a brother, a roommate to her. What she did not know, and it took him a very long time to admit is that he did have feelings for her. He was just too afraid to admit it. Now they have a chance at love on their terms. The problem is that Wolfe cannot seem to get beyond his past so that he can embrace his present and his future. He is his own worse enemy when it comes to relationships. You cannot help but want him to work through all of his issues. You want him to grab his happiness with all of his heart.
Nissa is such a great person that you want her to be happy. She held out hope that Wolfe would come around, and when he re-entered her life, she was not going to let him go. She put her heart out there, and now he will either be the husband and man that she knows he is, or he will hurt her more deeply than anyone ever has.ther.

The story line and character work were good. There were some spelling an grammatical errors which kept the book from having a smooth flow to it. It did entertain me from beginning to end.

“Wolfe” starts with the main character waking up in a hospital with amnesia. Wolfe has no memory of the last few years of his life including his wife of 8 years, Nissa. The truth is the marriage is in name only. Is this a chance to change that? This book is a good exploration of what makes a relationship real, what it takes to make a marriage work, the value of opening up to another person and the gift of unconditional love. This story is a thoughtful friendship to finally lovers romance.

Wolfe was on active duty in combat and Jacque was his interpreter when an IED put an end to the life of one, and to the career of the other. Wolfe fulfilled his promise to Jac to take care of his baby sister Nissa
Can an act of kindness give a broken man a second chance or two at love and family, or is only more heartbreak in store?
