4.5 stars. This is another exciting installment of this series. Love the characters so much and the plot kept me intrigued throughout. In the prologue, we get Diego’s story of how he came to be a werewolf and it was so difficult to read. Only because I knew he would be okay (or there would be no book) could I get through it. From that moment on I was hooked! Now he is a negotiator for SWAT and that is how he meets Bree and her son Brandon. I really love their story and it definitely kept me on the edge of my seat! I mean who doesn’t like a little danger mixed in with a sweet love story that also includes big strong hunky werewolves?
Wolf Untamed by Paige Tyler is book 11 in the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series. This book focuses on Diego and Bree. Diego was a former police officer, who one night after being in a dangerous and life changing situation, finds out he is a werewolf. From there we see him join the SWAT team with his best friend. During a call out, he meets Bree and her newly turned werewolf son, Brandon. From the time of the call, Diego knows that there is something special about Bree and wants to get to know not only her but her son also.
Bree is an Insurance Investigator who went through a rough divorce, has a crazy ex-husband, a son who has been through some hard changes who she is finding it difficult to relate too and to make matters worse, she and her son have been taken hostage. To make the day better, SWAT member Diego comes into her life, wanting to protect her, love her and to help her grow, but sadly danger is lingering around the corner for both of them.
This was a fast and intriguing read. Not only are we reading about what it is like to be a werewolf, from both Diego and Brandon’s point of view, but were also following an intriguing story line where people become infected and do things against their will without remembering anything about it. To add into the twist and turns, Bree’s job as an investigator are also tied in with the random robberies and she seems to unwittingly be in the middle of all of the drama.
We also see the developing relationship between Diego and Bree. It is a slow burn relationship which blazes white hot when both Bree and Diego finally make a move with each other. Their scenes are heart-warming and add into the mix Diego’s relationship with Brandon which is super sweet and even though Diego isn’t Brandon’s father, he definitely gives good fatherly advice and helps Brandon with his transition.
This book is a page turner, it’s fast paced and has a lot of action going on pretty much from the first page. Both Diego and Bree are really likeable characters and you as a reader are invested in their relationship, regardless of what gets thrown their way. This is definitely a must-read book for any paranormal enthusiast out there!
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own.

This one is book eleven In the series and still going strong! Plenty of action and Romance with Diego a werewolf on the SWAT team as the main character and Bree, the mother of a young werewolf that needs help. As things get hot Diego and beer must learn to work together and keep strong . So hope there will be more of this series as I have really enjoyed them
5 stars
Bree is an insurance investigator, lives with her teenage son, and her sister. Bree and Brandon are held hostage in a diner. Diego is a werewolf and member of the SWAT team as the negotiator. He is sent in to he diner and immediately smells a beta werewolf. After Bree and Brandon are rescued, Diego explains to them what Brandon is going through. Bree takes it very well and she invites Diego over to have dinner with them. Diego believes Bree is THE ONE but won’t tell her. Something is going on with the people in the city. Diego and his pack start investigating and find out it’s tied to Bree’s ex husband. Can they figure out what’s going on before more people die?
Excellent story. Action and suspense. I was totally shocked and wished I hadn’t finished it so fast. I love these books and I believe this is my favorite so far.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for NetGalley *
I have been caught up in the SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series from the beginning, and even now, eleven titles plus novellas later it’s a series that captures my imagination with intriguing plots and interesting characters – some new, some known, and often complete surprises along the way. I’ve yet to feel like any of these stories have gotten old and that’s a definite compliment to the author’s talent.
Wolf Untamed brings us a teenager who is discovering his werewolf, an ongoing investigation that continues to bring danger and intrigue to the team, and a romance that will challenge Diego and Bree, but not breaking them in spite of trying extra hard it seems. Brandon, Bree’s son, is a newly turned werewolf and Diego will be drawn to not only help the young man but believes that Bree is his “The One”. Now to get Bree to understand what is happening to her son, keep them both safe, and figure out what is causing ordinary citizens to suddenly turn into robbers – and convince Bree that what they’re feeling is right for them. One controlling ex will make life even more difficult as these three begin the process of forming a relationship that will last a lifetime.
I was easily drawn in and held within Wolf Untamed. The suspense is tense, the action is fast-paced, the evil vile, and the SWAT members – well, their usual selves. The suspenseful part you should discover on your own, but this one kept me guessing until the end – and smiling at the team’s antics as well. This is a family of sorts, and we never forget that along the way. I had fun, as always, and if you love a good Paranormal Romantic Suspense then this series would be perfect for you.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher, Sourcebooks Casablanca via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
While this was not what I was expecting it was really good. I really enjoyed the single mom aspect of this book. I felt like it created a very real & “relatable” side to the story. That being said the rest of the story was the typical werewolf roller coaster we all love and look forward to. I really loved the twist with the delirium drug, it really kept me on the edge of my seat. I can’t wait for the next book.
Somehow, I lost track of this series and skipped a few in the middle, but when I picked this new book up, I fell right back into the world of the Dallas werewolf SWAT team. While characters from previous books are present in the story, this book focuses more on a different SWAT team and the main side characters have not yet been featured in their own books, so this is a good place to start the series. The author does enough quick recapping to get the gist of the worldbuilding but the story doesn’t bog down in the details.
The story is fast paced with plenty of action, as well as a solid plot focusing on a mysterious substance that is somehow causing totally ordinary, law abiding people to go into rages and commit violent robberies and other crimes. The SWAT team, which has been dealing with rapidly escalating violence, is trying to understand why the crimes are happening.
Diego, the hero, is a SWAT negotiator who meets Bree, the heroine, and Brandon, her 16 YO son when he deals with a violent hostage situation in a diner. He immediately recognizes that Brandon is a newly turned beta werewolf who is about to lose control of his shift, so in addition to disarming the hostage taker, Diego quickly forms a bond with Brandon to keep him from revealing himself. Diego is also immediately attracted to Bree so once the hostage situation is resolved, he knows he wants a closer relationship with both of them. Bree and Diego were a great couple. Diego is a caretaker alpha whose caring tendencies were only amplified when his werewolf gene was activated. Bree is an equal match for him, a fierce, loving mother who doesn’t shy away from difficult situations and isn’t afraid of her immediate attraction to Diego. This episode of the series was a fast, enjoyable read. I need to go back and catch up on the previous books that I missed, as well as keeping an eye out for future books. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Wolf Untamed by Paige Tyler is the 11th book in her wonderful SWAT (Special Wolf Alpha Team) series. As mentioned in previous reviews for this series, I love how Tyler always gives us wonderful, romance suspense stories, that are exciting, pulse pounding action filled, as well as great couples and hot alpha men (werewolves) that are part of the SWAT team.
Diego Martinez, our hero, is the SWAT team negotiator, who is tries to talk down a crazed man who threatens to kill those around him in a diner. Diego sees a mother and son trying to help a wounded victim, and senses something different about the young boy. After the incident, Diego finds himself attracted to the mother, Bree and knows that her teenage son, Brandon, is in the beginning of being a beta werewolf. Brandon had been shot awhile back, and Bree notices that her son was acting strange at times. Diego decides to take them under his protection, and explain what is happening to Brandon.
Bree, our heroine, was an insurance investigator, and though it sounded farfetched, she saw signs that Diego showed her that her son was indeed becoming a werewolf. I thought Bree was a great heroine, accepting what happened to her son, falling hard for Diego, and was willing to put herself into danger, when investigating her evil ex.
Diego and his teammates were deeply involved in a strange case that has innocent people becoming violent and remembering nothing afterwards. In a short time, both Diego and Bree realize that their cases are leading to the same conclusion. Her ex is somehow involved in the robberies/violence, which also puts her in danger, since her ex wants her and Brandon back at any cost.
What follows is an exciting, intense, suspenseful, action-packed adventure that will keep us glued to our seats, especially when all hell breaks loose causing even teammates to react dangerously. The last 1/3 of the book was a wild exciting race to stop those involved, before more deaths happen. The romance between Diego and Bree was steamy, as they had sizzling chemistry. I also loved how close Diego came to Brandon, teaching him everything he needed to know and understand.
Paige Tyler does it again with another intense, intriguing, exciting and sexy story. I loved Diego and Bree, as they complimented each other, not to mention hot. Wolf Untamed is another fabulous addition to this series. If you have not started this series, I suggest you do so, as it is a fun, exciting and sexy read and Paige Tyler is an author you need to be reading.
Great story. Loved the characters and setting. I totally enjoyed reading this book and recommend it

Wolf Untamed by Paige Tyler
SWAT (Special Wolf Alpha Team) series book 11. Paranormal romantic suspense. Wolf shifters as a police SWAT unit in Dallas.
Diego rescues Bree and her son Brandon from a hostage situation. Pheromones immediately trigger and Diego knows he wants to see more of Bree.
A teenager and recently triggered beta wolf, Brandon needs help learning what it means to be a werewolf. Diego will help teach him better control and naturally takes over as the protector and father figure role.
Dinner, movies, monopoly and salsa dancing while Diego works with his team to investigate strange events happening in Dallas. With similar job characteristics, Bree investigates a group of home robberies that appear staged.
Fast moving and thrilling. I didn’t want to put it down until the end. Now I want to know…
Cliffhanger in the last sentence for the series, not the couple.
Surely there is something up with Connor and Kat, the cat that should be revealed soon?
This one hit the high notes for me, more so than the last few books in the series.
Excerpt:
“Bree considered that before answering. “[…] the thought that my own son is lying to me tears me apart inside.”
The pain he knew she must be feeling right then seemed to be a tangible thing, as though a steel band tightened around his chest, and breathing became almost impossible.
“I was already going to help him get his inner werewolf under control and come to grips with his nature, so I could talk to him about the drug stuff, too, if you want,” he suggested softly. Diego held his breath, worried he might be overstepping a bit with the offer. When he saw tears glisten in Bree’s eyes, he was sure he had. Before he realized what he was doing, he moved closer on the couch, his thigh touching hers as he leaned in to catch the first tear before it could slide down her cheek.
“Hey, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to upset you.” he said gently. “If you don’t want me talking to him about any of this, I won’t.”
Bree let out a little laugh. “It’s not that.” Her small, slim hand came up to wrap around his, her fingers curling around the one he’d used to wipe away the tears. “It’s just that I can’t believe how lucky I am to have met you.”
He lifted a brow. “I’m not sure if I’d say our meeting was very lucky since you and Brandon were being held hostage at the time.”
She laughed again, this time with an accompanying smile that had his stomach doing cartwheels and barrel rolls.
“Yeah, but if Brandon and I hadn’t been taken hostage, we would never have met you,” she said. “Which would have left my son still lost and confused, and me with no way to help him. You’ve come into our lives at the exact moment we needed you. That’s why we’re lucky.”

I received a copy of this from NetGalley. I also purchased a copy to share.
Excellent Paranormal Romantic Suspense. I truly enjoyed the characters and the storyline. They’re interesting and intriguing.. There’s danger, laughter, angsty drama, and steam. It was so fun to watch a big, tough, alpha male be leveled by a single mom and her son. Definitely recommend.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias or favor.
This is another winner in the paranormal shifter police series by Paige Tyler. This story is Diego Martinez, a former SEAL turned werewolf in a near death experience and now is a SWAT cop still saving lives. This story opens quickly in a crisis situation with Diego doing his job and meet Bree & Brandon Harlow as hostages of a crazy man. Diego quickly realizes the teen Brandon is a newly turned werewolf about to lose control in the chaos. He and his team manage to keep everyone but the crazy man alive and so starts another adventure with the SWAT team.
Bree Harlow is an insurance investigator for a high end insurance company. She’s good at her job. She lives with her sister and her teen son, Brandon. Brandon has only one friend and unfortunately the only kids that are interested in befriending them are bad news. Brandon ended up at the wrong place at the wrong time and was shot & almost died, that turned on his werewolf gene that Diego recognizes. Diego reaches out to mother & son seeking to help them through this change in their lives.
Bree’s ex-husband, Dave Cowell has recently been released from prison for murder. He has anger and control issues and Bree just wants him to stay away from her and Brandon. Dave is a possessive narcissist who is determined to get his wife back . He works at an investment firm and has been stalking them.
Diego’s team is investigating strange activities that have recently happened in town with ordinary people suddenly doing violent things with no memory of doing them. Bree on the other hand is investigating strange break in and thefts that are more than they appear. She’s gathering evidence to take to the police so her company doesn’t have to pay out huge funds to their insured customers if it’s not necessary. Eventually their two investigations merge and they discover who and what are behind them.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is book 11 the SWAT series and while it could be read as a standalone, I would recommend reading the previous books before reading this one. Not only does it explain things that are mentioned in this book but it also gives a lot of backstory that you might also wonder about. In this one we get Diego Martinez and Bree Harlow’s story. Diego and his team are called out to another crime scene where he meet’s not only newly turned Brandon, but his mother Bree as well. He knows he has to not only teach Brandon about his new life. Bree knew something was wrong with her son ever since he was shot. She just couldn’t figure out what it was. And being a werewolf was definitely not on her list of things that it could be. But now his investigation is converging with Bree and her son, and he has to try to not only solve it but keep them safe as well.
I really like this one. Bree is the type of woman who you always want to be a mom. She will do anything for her son, and I mean anything. Diego is definitely the alpha, protective male but he has a heart of gold. Especially with those he considers a part of his family. On a whole I definitely liked most of it. There is lots of action and suspense, and the characters had a chance to actually get to know each other before they just fell into bed with each other. But there is a twist to it that I didn’t quite understand and I am still kinda scratching my head over it. I think it’s so that it can take the series in a new direction but honestly, I am just not sure. Either way, I know I will be impatiently waiting for the next one!
Diego, Bree & Brandon
Diego has been the negotiator in many hostage situations. This one was different and too similar to some other crimes to ignore. Another difference is that he’s distracted by one of the hostages. He finds more excuses to spend time with her until he realizes she just as attracted. Not only that he likes her teen son and the kid seems to like him too. The reason could just bind the three in a way they hadn’t seen coming.
Bree’s a smart, talented professional woman and a caring single mother. Some trouble she didn’t see coming makes her consult Diego for advice. Advice and so much more.
The story is action-filled, steamy, has plenty of surprises, and plenty of time with the members of his swat team. The romance is hot, complicated and one the reader has to cheer on. I’m a fan of the series and loved it can’t wait for more.
The eleventh book in the series, “Wolf Untamed” is just as good as one would expect from a Paige Tyler read. Bree takes her teenage son Brandon to a diner to have a talk with him, but it turns into a hostage situation. The Swat team are called in where Diego, a former police officer, is the negotiator for the Swat team. After the rescue, Diego smells a beta wolf and discovers Brandon and his mom, and takes Brandon under his wing to help him through his transition, Diego finds that he also is attracted to Bree, who just may be ‘The One’. With lots of action, drama, and a burgeoning romance developing between Bree and Diego, Wolf Untamed is fast paced with all the elements one expects from Paige Tyler’s Swat series. **I was gifted “Wolf Untamed” via NetGalley and leave my review based on my reading.** 5 Stars!
Wolf Untamed (SWAT Book 11) by Paige Tyler
This is book 11 of 12 and I have loved them all. This book is Diego, Bree and Brandon’s story. All our old friends are back (but this book can be read as a stand-alone but I suggest you read them all). This book has everything, angst, danger, laughter, tears, fear, evil, heroes, love and plenty of steam … all getting us to a very HEA. If there is only one book left … I want to find out Kat’s story.
We start before Diego is turned into an alpha wolf shifter. He’s a cop, and a good one, he’s on a routine patrol when it all goes horribly wrong…..
Diego is a great character, kind, alpha to the core and a really good guy. He’s still a cop, but he works for a SWAT team now. It’s a group of mainly wolf shifters (Special Wolf Alpha Team SWAT) and they deal with trying to contain anything supernatural.
Bree is an insurance investigator, she enjoys her job, it gives her the freedom to be herself after divorcing a controlling husband, she’s also a mom with a teenage son, but they are drifting apart, and it’s breaking her heart, she just can’t seem to connect with Brandon anymore. She thinks he’s getting in with the wrong crowd!! She’s worried she’s going to lose him! Where did her baby boy go?
Diego and Bree meet when Bree and Brandon are held hostage with other members of the public in a diner. Diego is a negotiator, he goes in to negotiate with the gunmen and is stunned to smell a young beta wolf, but more than that, he smells something that gets his wolf excited!
Diego is concerned that neither Brandon or Bree are aware that’s he’s a wolf shifter, but he needs to take care of the situation they are in before telling Brandon he will turn into a wolf! And that’s a different enigma, the scene feels wrong, the gunmen seem to be fighting themselves and going from calm to raging! And when it all goes mad, Diego is fighting for his life and all those in the diner!
Both Brandon and Bree take the news fairly well that Brandon has a wolf inside him (in fact I got the impression that Bree was relieved that it’s his inner wolf trying to get out, and not drugs that was pulling Brandon away from her!)
Diego then sets about trying to teach Brandon how to accept his wolf as well as convincing Bree they should be together as she’s his ONE! (His forever mate)
It’s a sweet romance, Diego slowing the pace down until Bree is ready. He wants a family and he wants both Bree and Brandon.
With a book that’s already half way through the series you have to wonder if you’ve missed something, and I have to admit, I don’t think you do. I’m not aware of an ongoing story, so that’s good. But saying that, I think I’m going back to read the previous books, and I’m going to preorder if anything comes up (and I’m hoping the series continues) as it tells us how the rest of the group meet their mates.
Plenty of action and suspense as we try to work out who the bad guys are and what they want. The case makes no sense to Diego and his team. And when it begins to impact on Bree’s life, Diego worries she maybe taken from him before he gets his chance with her!!
And when her ex makes an appearance it could upset the happy balance Bree now has.
I liked this book, a mystery to be solved, a mate to woo, and a young wolf to train. We also have the interaction between Diego and his team, I had to chuckle at the banter that was thrown around.
Really well done, beautifully written and very expressive.
I received this book from NetGalley for an honest review
What’s a girl Bree, supposed to do when she finds out her beloved son is a Werewolf? Diego, along with the Dallas PD SWAT Team to their rescue. Not only does Diego need to help them, the team is trying desperately to figure out the what, why and how these crazied super strength humans are coming from.
A great book full of drama, suspense and hot passion. Visiting the team just adds to the enjoyment.
This is my favorite book so far in Paige’s SWAT series. I love Diego and Bree, and the addition of Branden (Bree’s son) being a Beta werewolf makes the story even better. The characters have a wonderful bond and their relationship is well plotted and thought-out. It definitely has a slow burn that really resonates. Diego makes me happy – he is just such a sweet guy, and Bree definitely suits him.
The plot to this book was so different and complicated (in a good way). I did not see the ending coming. It was just really fascinating. I liked that this was a contained story with a very weird threat and villain. This was definitely a memorable story line. Thanks Paige – this was an awesome book and I am already wanting the next one.
Received as an Arc from Netgalley and Sourcebooks. Thank you.
Wolf Untamed is a sweet single mom romance. SWAT werewolf Diego Martinez may be an alpha but he is clueless when it comes to love and a newly turned teenage werewolf. Give him a hostage negotiation any day. I loved watching him fall for Bree and her son. This is an exciting tale of love and intrigue. This is part of a series but can be read standalone.
