The first title in New York Times bestselling author Vivian Arend’s light-hearted, feel-good paranormal series.~~~~~Talk about getting your signals crossed… the Yukon wilderness. Only the sexy beast of a man she bumps into at the cabin starts cravings of another kind, setting her hormones raging as well as raising strange questions about wolves, and mates, and pack challenges.
All wilderness guide Keil Lynus wanted was a nice quiet retreat before challenging for the Alpha position of his Alaskan pack. He wasn’t planning on meeting his destined mate, or finding out she’s not aware she has the genes of a wolf. Between dealing with his accident-prone younger brother, a deaf mate with an attitude and an impending duel to the death, his week—and his bed—is suddenly full.
Far from the relaxing getaway any of them had in mind…
Warning: Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “talking with your hands”. Includes dangerous use of sarcasm and hot nookie in a remote wilderness sauna.

I love this book
Fantastic book and series that’s a favorite of mine. I’ve read many times and will again. . .
Would not recommend this book. I enjoy a little steam, but this book was over the top. Did not finish it.
The “heroine” was disappointing. The character seemed like she was going to be strong, but then just let the men tell her what was up and she believed them too quickly and easily. Just wasn’t the strong story I was expecting.
I’ve read a lot of Vivian Arend books, but this was the first paranormal story I’ve read. It was very interesting and I enjoyed it. I’m in the middle as to whether or not I’ll continue with this series or stick to her other genre’s. If you like wherewolfs, this book is for you.
Loved every minute of this story.
Love and romance would style.
Nice book to read .
Wanted a little more backstory and a longer story. But enjoyed the characters and their quick, witty responses especially from the heroine.
Loved Robyn and Keil
Robyn Maxwell heads out for a back country ski trip on her own, after her brother Had had to cancel due to work. He didn’t like her going alone. Robyn can take care of herself and has a day phone.
Wolf shifter brothers, Keil and TJ Lynus head to the back country to get away from pack for a while. The upcoming full moon, Keil plans to challenge for Alpha of the Granite Lake Pack.
Things do go as planned. The cabin already had a visitor, and she is his mate. She is beautiful, fierce, doesn’t know she is a wolf and deaf.
Neil has to give Robyn a crash course in werewolves, mates and the challenge for Alpha.
A sweet and steamy, fated mates romance. Loved Robyn and Keil’s story. A nice short about TJ at the end.
With all the miscues, misunderstandings, and a clumsy younger brother thrown in the mix it’s a wonder any romance had a chance. But, when something is meant to be, it’s meant to be. And how it ends up is absolutely wonderful. A fun must read.
I like the premise of a deaf heroine but didn’t like how the storyline unfolded.
Liked it!!
absolutely loved it
Light wolf romance. Nice to see that the female lead is a strong person despite being deaf and initially not knowing she was a wolf.
This book was a great short read. It had all the elements I liked in a romance novel plus a few unexpected ones. While the storyline moves very quickly it all makes sense and works well allowing for a HEA and a need to read more about the group of characters.
Another shifter romance, but this one is more of a novella. Due to the shortness, the plot is not very fully developed and there are some skips in plot that make it less compelling.
This was such an interesting take on a shapeshifter story. I loved her using sign language!
Loved the well written characters in this story.
