OOOH!!! Such an ominous ending! It will be interesting to see where the Singh takes the next part of the series. I love how the other characters in the series keep showing up in every book. I also like all the new characters that get introduced.
Every time I think the Psy-Changeling world can’t get any bigger or more complex, Singh proves me wrong! Can’t wait to see further developments in this amazing series.
Love the characters in this story – the action and drama are riveting, the love is amazing… Absolutely love this series!! Every book takes me to another world!!
I have yet to read a book by Nalini Singh that wasn’t a good read. I would recommend this book to everyone
I loved this book Na I is a great story teller. Her books are always good.
Another great story by Nalini Singh. I’ve enjoyed every book she’s written in this series.
Part of what I’m loving about this series is how Nalini Singh crafts her world building and character development. It’s a true talent to be able to bring fresh material to a series that’s 18 books in, and with Wolf Rain we get to see new characters with new abilities, but also revisit some of our favorites from previous books. I look forward to more Psy-changeling novels down the road, particularly because one or two maybe villains in this novel have the potential to carry their own stories.
Nalini Singh writes a wildly exciting story full of hope… and sexy wolf shifters
“Alexi Harte: SnowDancer wolf, 6.2, blond, gray-eyed, and panty-melting gorgeous.”
I absolutely LOVED Alexi’s book! We finally get to see what makes him tick, and it’s exciting and heartbreaking. Alexi carries a heavy burden with a deadly family curse that affects mated pairs. That’s why Alexi keeps his distance and never lets himself get close with anyone. There’s just something about a damaged hero that makes me swoon! Alexi is so loyal to his pack and loved by all. His quick smile and happy disposition hide Alexi’s pain, and you can’t help but want to reach out and hug the heck out of him!
Memory has gone through hell having been kidnapped at 8 years old by a sadistic and cold psy. After years of being held captive, she’s rescued by Alexi and protected by the SnowDancers. Despite her captivity and years of abuse, Memory has a powerful resilience and beautiful spirit. She’s loving, kind and so strong. Memory definitely can hold her own against a “big wolfy chicken!” The couple pair beautifully together.
The storyline is brilliantly crafted, and the characters are vibrant and plentiful! I absolutely love coming back to the series. The world is so big, and you can sometimes feel lost, but the characters and plot ground the reader and offer an enjoyable and memorable experience. I highly recommend WOLF RAIN and any book, novella, snippet or grocery list written by Ms. Singh!
***I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of the book provided by the publisher via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. This in no way affects or influences my thoughts and feelings about the story***
I have read all of the psy changeling series and love each one. I hope for more in the near future.
Psy-Changeling books never fail me. Characters are always complex, with real issues that can’t be solved with just a happily ever after — in this book Alexei’s family curse and Memory’s past — and the side plots have high stakes too. There’s always a new insight into the world they live in; here Memory’s unique E designation. Emotions run high, and I cried for both happiness and sorrow. I loved Alexei and Memory, the pace of their love story was perfect, and neither healed unnaturally fast. As an added bonus, the book was set in the familiar SnowDancer den, with all the familiar characters making appearance. In a word, the book was perfect.
I love Nalini Singh’s Psy-Changeling world, and this story gives what readers want from her stories–emotionally captivating scenes, rich characters, and poignant romance. The heroine was particularly endearing, haunted and wounded yet strong. And of course, love those wolf changelings! A definite keeper.
I was so excited to see we would be back with the SnowDancer and DarkRiver packs in Wolf Rain. While I love branching out into other parts of the world and packs from other areas, I have to say being with these two packs always makes my heart happy. Add in a kick-ass Psy in Memory, and you had me in my happy place.
I loved Memory was a fighter from the moment Alexei discovered her in a prison deep underground in SnowDancer territory. Yes she is initially fearful and slow to trust him, yet with her emphatic abilities, she sees parts of Alexei he can’t even see about himself. I was pulled into this story quickly as I could feel their connection from the moment they met. They were both attracted to one another, and it seemed like they each found a sense of peace just being near the other. I worried they each would let past experiences shape the possibility of their future together, as Memory had been forced to work with a psychopath and him concerns of following in his brother’s footsteps and becoming rogue. I loved that Alexei saw a strength in Memory from the beginning she didn’t even see in herself.
I honestly felt like this book was written more along the lines of the earlier books in the series and I just felt like I was coming home. I adore the Psy-Changeling series so much and it was fun to see some of my favorite characters from past books, while still having Memory and Alexei’s story as the focus of the story. I loved seeing Memory grow stronger with both her Psy abilities and her inner strength with each passing day. She made so many connections with new friends for the first time in her life and you could see her blossom on the page. Alexei seemed to change the more time they were together, as it seemed like wolf recognized Memory even before he did. With so many men in Alexei’s family going rogue and Memory witnessing her mother’s murder then being imprisoned by said murderer, they each had many emotions to work through. While they each had understandable anger issues, they seemed to work through them better when together.
I’m glad to see with the new E sub-designation, the Psy are seeing a light at the end of a very dark tunnel when it comes to stabilizing the PsyNet, Not that Memory can do it alone, but I felt like they at least have a chance to keep the PsyNet going a bit longer thanks to Memory.
The Psy-Changeling series remains one of my favorites and an auto-buy for me. I love it so much I tend to buy in both print and audiobook. Wolf Rain was a wonderful addition to the Psy-Changeling series of books filled with action, romance, laughter, and tears.

I growl each time I finish the latest installment as I know I will have an other year in the waiting for the next one.
But this last one was worth it when I think about this awesome read.
I know I am sold to any new psi-changeling novel, and this one was a fabulous one.
I was so happy to be back to the SnowDancer and Dark River territory plus the discovery of a new empath is always a moment of great emotions.
Impossible to sum up the story, so much is going on but it was the perfect mix of emotional and action scenes with depth and poignancy.
I loved both main characters from the wounded but not broken Memory to the determined Alexei.
Memory is a magnificent person, never she let hopelessness took her, she was fueled by her need of revenge and it kept her alive. Then she refused to stay locked in the cage built around her mind and heart, decided to move forward. She did a lot of growing up because she had not been able before as she was held captive, but she also refuses to compromise, she will be who she was meant to be not a honeyed version of herself.
She is fabulous as she takes no shit from anyone, she refuses over the top behavior from dominants. You growl, she growls and will even bite.
« But she kept going, one dogged step after the other. Unfettered respect wiped away his earlier pity, his wolf looking at her with new eyes. This was how she’d survived in that bunker. The woman beside him was a fighter. »
Alexei is the big alpha male with a deep wound he keeps hidden, despite his instant connection with Memory and his need to be protective of her, he will try to put her at bay, afraid of the hurt he could cause her. But he is like most of the dominant, a big putty ball in her hands once she has set her sight on him.
It was so entertaining and joyful to watch all the two packs interacting and messing with their not-wooing-relationship.
One more hit for me as I tried to read it fast and faster then slowed down to really enjoy Alexei and Memory’s journey.
The epilogue was so very lovely and Ben’s tiny sister is a bundle of joy ( sure, we share the same name ).
Alexei is a wolf changeling and he finds a hidden bunker with a Psy female named Mercy being held captive. Mercy has been a captive since she was a child and her mother was murdered. She was told her Psy gifts are evil. In this story you find out more about the Psy-net, secrets the council kept and more. I enjoyed seeing the older characters and how they were doing. A great read and addition to the Psy-Changeling stories.
I received a copy of this book via Netgalley and am leaving a review.
This series just keeps getting better and better! Wolf Rain is the third book in the Psy-Changeling Trinity Series and I gotta tell you, I was a little worried going into this one since I haven’t had the opportunity to read book 2 yet. That being said, I am happy to report that I was worried for nothing. From the moment I picked up Wolf Rain, I was HOOKED. I couldn’t put it down and I didn’t feel lost at all. I was completely and totally lost to Memory and Alexie’s story and I couldn’t wait to see how things were going to play out.
I loved Alexie & Memory together. They both had their share of baggage and were broken. Even with that, Alexie had the biggest heart and was so protective over those he let into his life. And then we have Memory. Memory’s story has been filled with heartache. I can’t even fathom her heartbreaking past. She might seem like she needs to be handled gently, but don’t let that fool you, Memory is stronger than ever. And Alexie is just what the doctor ordered and is sure to bring the swoons. The attraction between Alexie and Memory was instant, yet the progression of their story had me hanging on each and every word.
Wolf Rain is a fantastic addition to this series and a terrific shifter romance. I love how complex this world is and the addictiveness of the plot. The world-building continues to blow my mind and there is never a dull moment. The characters are compelling and complex. The story-line is filled with amazing fantastical and paranormal aspects. And of course, you can’t forget about the romance and let me tell you, Wolf Rain has it in spades. Wolf Rain gave me absolutely everything I was looking for and was a fabulous read to spend my day getting lost in. At the end of the day, the skys the limit with this series and this world the author has created. I for one can not wait to see what this author will have in store for us next.
