But when that day finally arrives, it’s nothing like I hoped it would be. Instead, it comes in a hail of gunfire, along with four distractingly handsome men who say they’re here to rescue me.
On the run with these mysterious men and hunted by the very people I believed were my caretakers, I begin to realize nothing is what I thought it was.
Turns out, I’m not really sick.
I’m not completely human either…

Amazing reading!!!… This is a page turner book, I just didn’t want it to stop reading, but got frustrated when finished… It’s such a great story line with wonderful characters and twists and turns to get you hooked. Can’t wait for book 2!!!
Wolf Hunted by Sadie Moss is a slow-burn paranormal reverse harem romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Laurel Schroeder. This is the first book in The Last Shifter series.
This is the second series of Sadie’s that I have read and it definitely won’t be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship that’s building between Alexis, Noah, Rhys, Jackson, and West. The book does end on a cliffhanger. But that wasn’t much of a surprise since it’s the first book in a four book series. I can’t wait to dive into the next book Wolf Called so I can get more of their story.
Laurel did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of her work in the future.
I would recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romances, slow-burn romances, or reverse harems.

I really loved this book. It is an awesome start to this series. I loved Alexis and her guys. I am loving the storyline. This book does end with a cliff-hanger. Can’t wait to read the next book.
I received a free copy of the audiobook from the author. This is me leaving an honest and volontarily review.
Argh cliffhangers!! How i love and hate them!! ;)- But it still was a great shifter story and i can’t wait to read more of this series.
Sadly, for myself, i found that the narrator did an ok job. I loved her voice but she kept dragging all the ends of the sentences and it got me distracted and a bit annoyed in the end. Will still give the second audiobook book a try.
So I am slowly going through Sadie Moss’s audiobooks since they have been coming out a lot recently. I am really enjoying her writing and the characters she is creating. I definitely will be checking her other series out that arent on audio yet because I want to read more!
For this particular story, I enjoyed the way Alexis and her men slowly became something for each other. I was surprised by how much I was digging Reese after the incident in the woods and then at the end when he called her baby! I nearly died haha. I think West and Noah might be my favs, but I have to deal more into the series to be sure haha. I liked how Alexis wasnt one of those heroines that was too stupid to live. She had her moments, but I think that was more because she was in captivity for so long and hadn’t experienced a lot of things yet. I loved how she devoured hamburgers haha and that Jackson was turned on by it. These wolfies are easy to fall for and adding in the wolf taking control aspect was intriguing. I can’t wait to find out more and see if/what Alexis shifts into. This series has a lot of potential and I am already onboard to find out more .
My only gripe for this audiobook was the narrator. I hate giving less than 3 stars and the only reason I didnt was because she is manageable if you listen to it on a faster speed. Is as listening at 1.1 or 1.15 speed and it made listening to Laurel somewhat ok. I honestly avoid all audiobooks from her because I CANNOT STAND the way she pauses, sighs, breathes, lisps, etc. I am used to listening to a lisp that is accidental, but she emphasizes it and makes it completely unnecessary. I think her narration detracts from the overall audiobook. I wouldnt purchases books by her unless I absolutely loved the author. I would ask authors to think about using her, if they have a choice. I listened to her on other audiobooks when her Scottish accent comes out and those are even worse. Sorry for being the negative Nancy, I just dont enjoy listening to her. She is alright with the guy voices here but seriously, can’t listen for a long period of time at once and I shouldn’t be pulled out of a story like that.
I was surprised to see that this book came out in audio earlier in the year but none of the rest are out (despite the series being done with 4 books). I hope the rest come out on audio because the story has a really good premise. Maybe get a new narrator who doesn’t take away from the story. Again, loved this story and the author and will continue to support her and her audiobooks. If you can get back the narrator, I would recommend this audiobook.

I loved the way that Laurel Schroeder narrated the characters and the story. she brought them all to life beautifully. in fact I kinda forgot I was listening to a narrator (I’m never sure how much sense that makes when I say it but it’s how I feel).
The idea behind this book is great and I found myself being slowly sucked into the world and especially these characters. I would love to know much more about why this is being done, for what purpose, as I’m sure there is something much deeper going on. the interactions between the characters are good and I loved watching them getting used to each other and slowly building their relationships. where it was left…I just need the next one now!!!
Wolf Hunted is the first audiobook in The Last Shifter series, a slow-burn reverse harem story. The characters are great, and their chemistry is undeniable. I like their slow burn romance. This story is intriguing, and action packed. Now, I can’t wait to listen to the next audiobook in the Series. Laurel Schroeder has a beautiful voice, and she does an amazing job with the narration. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook.
The beginning started off nice and calm, and then chaos. There was so much action, everything on the edge of your seat including the end. This is a slow burn because even though there’s four guys she doesn’t go all the way with any..yet. The narrator did a fantastic job giving unique voices to everyone. Now I have to rush to find book 2!

5 stars for Wolf Hunted by Sadie Moss. This is book 1 in The Last Shifter series. This is a paranormal reverse harem story. For me I felt this book was different from any other paranormal series that I have read. Alexis thinks that she is sick and has been at the Strand Corporation for years. Little does Alexis know that everything she believes is a lie. Soon she meets Ryes who is grumpy, Jackson who is playful, West who is stoic , and Noah who is sweet and loving. This is a slow burn story with many twists and turns. I loved all of the characters and the story line. This book does end on a cliffhanger and man is it a good one.
Wolf Hunted is book 1 in this new RH series from the author. Set in contemporary scene, it tells us the story of Alexis who suffered a certain type of disease, that prompted her mother to accept the help of a group of doctors who work to find its cure by “studying” her condition. She then spent most of her childhood until the age of 21 inside the facility, with no actual contact with anyone except the doctors and staff, and sometimes a visit from her mother. Her life was turned upside down when the facility was breached by a pack of wolf shifters. She learned that she was one of Strand’s test subjects; a normal person injected with wolf shifting abilities for their own nefarious reason.
I love the slow build up of this story. We can see how Alexis’ character developed as a mature young woman and finally, really living her life. She is no longer thinking her life was wasted away closeted to eventually die. I’d say the first book is always the base for its succeeding one and this book didn’t burden the reader with too much info dumps. It leaves you guessing while enjoying the slow burn romance and enough action to keep you on the edge of your seat. Definitely will continue reading this series!
What a great new series this is! It does end with a cliffhanger that made me want to throw my phone out the window but just because it’s that good. Poor Alexis, after four men break in to the hospital she is in she finds out everything about her life is a lie. She is rescued by four hot wood Shifters so there is that! The storyline is unique and well written and Laurel Schroeder does an amazing job with the narration. I can’t wait for the next book
What starts as a nice and calm book turns into a book with action and so much turmoil you don’t know which way is up. I definitely enjoyed this book and the cliffhanger has me begging to know what happens next. Narration was great as well.

Wolf Hunted
The Last Shifter, Book 1
By: Sadie Moss
Narrated by: Laurel Schroeder
I loved this book, is well written, well told and a great start to a new series. The storylines are original and immediately captured my attention and held it to the end. Sadie Moss creates a wonderful, imaginative world, with equally imaginative characters. Shifters are kept imprisoned in a medical facility under false pretenses. They are being used for medical tests and experiments. A number of shifters have rebelled and escaped over the years, some chose to live in hiding amongst themselves others amongst the humans in society. Alexis lived in one of these facilities since she was 10 years old, under the pretense that she was ill and was under their care. One day, hell breaks loose, four armed men break in searching for someone who may be held prisoner there. They do not find who they are looking for but do see Alexis and take her with them. Turns out these four are a pack of wolf shifters, Rhys, Jackson, Noah and West, who escaped another facility but Rhys’s sister was left behind and they made it there mission to find her. Alexis dreamed of going outside the facility for years, but not quite like this. She soon learns her whole life was a lie, even the person who claimed to be her Mom was a lie. Alexis stays with them as they are on the run from the company that runs those labs. It is an experience for her as she gets to know the guys, learn about shifting and about herself. I really liked Alexis and the pack, each have different personality. She is developing feelings for them and they for her. I highly recommend this book, it offers it all, action, drama, angst, some suspense and a slow burn to romance. Thank you for this great story, I hope the 2nd book becomes available soon on Audible.
I listened to the Audible edition, Laurel Schroeder is an amazing narrator and voice performer. She brings the characters to life, gives each their own unique voice and personality. She is a skilled and entertaining storyteller, a pleasure to listen to. Thanks for another great listen
Alexis lives her life in clinical isolation believing she is terminally ill. She is about to receive shocking news about her condition from people she doesn’t know, from four men who take her from the environment that is supposed to be keeping her alive. Those four men have a secret about themselves that is linked to Alexis’ condition. I enjoyed the slow reveal of the secret even though I already could guess what it was. I was kept on the edge wanting to know what was gonna happen next. In fact I’m still that way since the end of the story is a cliff hanger waiting for the next book, and boy did this story leave me hanging. Gonna be hard to wait for the future book release.
I received an ARC of this book and wrote this review.
Na.Paranormal. Sci-fi-ish. Rh. 4 wolf shifters. Slowburn. Alexis has been in this medical facility for 10 yrs for a life threatening disease or so she thinks. Until 4 come in weapons blazing looking for a girl. They take her when they flee and set her straight. Definitely unique. The heroine is innocent (you’ll know why) but strong. She really is likable character. You got your funny energetic guy, your bf can talk to me guy, your nurturing guys, and finally your *hole but I have too many feeling guy. I REALLY love the story line. Also the cliffhanger is a dozy.
Moss has created an interesting new world. Alexis has been institutionalised since she was 10 “for her health.” Suddenly she is free and finding out so much has been a lie. She is pretty naive and innocent considering she hasn’t been out in the world. I like the 4 guys too — they are pretty hot. The feelings do develop fairly quickly. I’m looking forward to book 2!
I received an advanced/review copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content and honesty of my review.
I absolutely adored this book. In my opinion, this is Sadie’s best book to date. It has a unique perspective on how wolf shifters came about and the story was compelling and exciting. I enjoyed the back story the main character had and I felt like she was an easy heroine to like. I loved all the guys, as well … as I stated in my original review, I normally am able to pick one of the heroes out that I like more than the others in a reverse harem, but I couldn’t do that here. I liked each man for different reasons, and I’m super excited to see the character development in the next book!
I highly recommend this book for anyone who enjoys paranormal romance with a whychoose romance 🙂

No lap dogs here. Just sexy real shifters!
What a great way to start this wolf shifter romance! It is so much more than that! These shifters who were once humans were created by scientists in a lab and tortured. Now is time to face the music and fight back. That’s exactly what this sexy pack of four brothers do: Noah, West, Jaxson, and Rhys and in the process save Lexy who was also victim to this experiment .Little do they all know Lexy is by far the best experiment yet. Cant wait for the next book! I love the story, action and that romance that is getting ready to skyrocket even more!! I loved all my guys but I have to say Noah had my attention first!
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily giving my honest review. Have you read the teaser? Any of the other reviews? Ok, let me break this down for you. This will absolutely blow your mind. As many angst filled shifter books as I’ve read, I’ve not read one quite like this storyline. You have the mystery surrounding the main character, Lexie, who has spent her entire life in a facility because she has an incurable disease. You have not one, but four wolves who com steal her away and informing her everything she thought she knew was a lie. THIS, is a thrilling beginning to what appears to be an outstanding series that I can’t wait for the next installment of. What a wonderful surprise!
I absolutely loved this book. I kept turning pages until there were no more and I made a frustrated sound because I want to know what happens (I may or may not have been reading at work so I may or may not have been in trouble for the frustration lol). I absolutely love Scrubs. She’s locked in a facility for so long, it’s all she knows. She’s lived a life of lies and suddenly with the help of a wolf pack of 4, she’s able to start experiencing a little life but it’s coming with a cost. Definitely a must read!
