An omega searching for a safe haven. The alpha he thought long in his past.Graham Allen has always thought he was happy with a life of service to the Martingale pack. Not many people pay attention to him, but the alpha allows him to spend all his time in the kitchen he loves. When his old friend Hannah walks back into his life in desperate need of help, Graham knows he can’t turn to his pack. … turn to his pack. Instead, he has to seek help from the alpha he thought he’d never see again.
Asher Martingale hasn’t spoken to anyone in his birth pack since he left them eight years ago with orders to never return. The last thing he expects is for one of them to show up in his backyard with a woman and child asking for asylum, but he would never turn them away.
The Martingales aren’t willing to let their best cook go so easily, and worse, Ash’s ex is the pack member they send to retrieve him. With two omegas’ lives on the line, can they weather the storm of Ash’s turbulent past and Graham’s dawning understanding that there’s a whole world beyond it?

Asher, werewolf born, just made me want to cuddle him up and protect him. Clearly, alphas friends Dez and Gavin try to do. Graham, on the run with his friend Hannah and her baby, travel to Kismet looking for sanctuary as he remembers the boy who left without word. Now I want to cuddle both of them. When Graham’s old pack kidnap’s him, Asher steps up with a steel backbone and saves the day.
Good, but a 3 stars good.
I always evaluate shifter books differently from other romance genres because they tend to be poorly written and/or planned out. Don’t get me wrong. I love a good shifter book and I’m less picky when reading them versus other sub genres. But those unicorn books – the ones that are beautifully written and edited with a lovey story – are few and far between.
With all that said, I’m giving this book 3 stars. The writing is strong. The characters are interesting. But the story is too telegraphed for my tastes and missing some oomph. I’m left with some questions that may get answered in another book, but I’m not hopeful.
I am confused – is this actually an mpreg universe? It’s kind of mentioned, and the omegas have heats, but then it’s pretty much glossed over.
Same as with the first book, there’s not much relationship development once they’re together. And there was too many childish inner thoughts. Thankfully they’re resolved quickly and not too bad, but my biggest pet peeve is assuming incorrectly and not communicating.
I do love that the books build on each other and they aren’t each stand-alones. You have to read them in order or you’ll miss too much.
Now this is a lot of complaining. But I did enjoy the book. I never felt like I had to force myself to read, again the writing is good, and I felt like I had to know what happened next. I’ll definitely read the next book. I’m invested in these characters. I need to know who gets their story next and what happens!
I do think this is one of the better shifter series out there and recommend it to all PNR/shifter fans!
Will your old childhood crush remember and accept you?
Welcome back to the world of the Wolves of Kismet; where the alphas are protective, the omegas are opinionated & strong. Gavin, Ash, Dez & Sawyer are here. The pack will grow. Mate bonds will form. Ash will confront his past. I didn’t want to put it down.
Graham’s existence is confined to the enclave kitchen. Helpless, hopeless. When Hannah shows up with a baby, alone & scared, he has to help. They flee to the only place he can think to go. To Ash, his childhood crush. The only person who was ever kind to him. Accepted by the Kismet Pack, the omegas find their worth. Ash finds a mate in Graham. But Graham & Ash’s old pack isn’t done with him yet. Ash will risk everything to protect his mate. You will love this book!
I recommend reading the first book in the series. It is time well spent. I can’t wait for the next book.
This book contains adult themes and language, mm
Wolf Found by Sam Burns is the second book in The Wolves of Kismet series. I love the name of the chapters; I love the special touches in this book too. Lots of attention to detail that makes reading just that much more special.
Graham is a cook an Omega. He is in a pack that doesn’t appreciate him. When his fundamental ideals of the pack and the Alpha that runs it are shattered, he runs to the one person he has always wanted and trusted. Graham is braver than he knows and has a loving heart.
Ash left his Dad’s pack when he was a young adult. He was basically kicked out by his dad the Alpha. He has started a new pack with a new leader. This pack he loves and will stand with no matter what.
When Graham comes looking for asylum Ash thinks he might have finally found someone that could be his. But will the past keep both of the apart forever?
There is a ton going on in this book, I loved it. I want to go back and read the first book in this series to see how it all starts. But it is not necessary to have started with book one to understand this story. I cannot wait for more from this series in the future as well. Just amazing characters that I never wanted to let go of.
Five Shooting Stars
Sam Burns in my opinion has an interesting writing style, because when you started a book you couldn’t stop reading until the very end. I noticed this in other of her series (Lords of the Underworld) so when I received this book as an ARC I was happy for the opportunity to read it. Now, this is the second book in The Wolves of Kismet series and is about Ash and Graham and all the dangers they confronted to be together. Even if this is the second book in a series, it can be read as standalone but I strongly recommend to read it as part of the series to fully enjoy the plot. The story is easy to read with some angst, action and danger that added some spice to it but with a great ending and an open for continuing pack adventures in book 3, Could it be Gavin’s story?? Pretty please with a lot of sugar on top??. Loved it!!
I got hooked on this series with book 1, and this story didn’t disappoint. I’m now hanging out for book 3. The author’s writing style makes this a very easy fast read, as I found it difficult to put down once I’ve picked it up, and one more page, ended up being much more than that.
I love the world building and how it takes the usual alpha trope and goes in a different direction with having a pack with three alphas. I like how Ash, Dez, and Gavin are very different personalities, which bleeds over into their reactions to being wolves. Of the three Ash is the only born wolf, so this story went more into the expectations of pack, and his background. The hierarchy in Ash’s former pack totally sucks, and I thought the author did a good job in showing how far the rot has set in.
I also love the family feel of this story, which feels much more than just pack. These guys are good friends, and have each other’s backs, and I liked the way they’re trying to figure out pack stuff without making the mistakes that others have made. I like that they’re determined that the omegas and others who come to them are free to make their own choices and futures.
I already liked Ash, so enjoyed learning more about his background and history. I loved Graham immediately and felt for him and the rough start the pack had given him. The scenes between him and Ash are sweet, yet awkward in places, as both are dealing with their pasts and what they think the other wants, or doesn’t.
The final showdown was page turning reading, and I’m intrigued by the set up for Gavin’s story, which is next.
I really enjoyed Wolf Found. I love Alpha/Omega stories and this one was wonderful. I haven’t read book 1, but I ordered it and will be reading right away. I really loved Graham, he was so sweet and innocent but adventurous and willing to do anything. Asher was sweet too in his own way. I loved learning about him. The other men in the story were interesting and I want to see where their stories lead too. I definitely look forward to what is going to happen to Graham and Asher as I think their story has more to be told. It was a fast-paced story with a slow-build romance and it just kept me reading. I definitely recommend this book.
A sweet alpha meets a sweet omega…and they makes sweets together. Or at least the alpha tried to make sweets, unsuccessfully most of the times.
I know I’m repeating myself, but sweet is the most adequate word I can think of to describe this book. Both Asher and Graham are gentle, kind and giving, what you’d call all around good people. Also intrepid, for having the courage to brave the world after leaving their original pack.
It’s not all easy for Asher and Graham, since their previous alpha wants the omega back. That added suspense and danger to the plot, but mostly it was about the cute way these two were around each other. So adorably insecure, doubting their worth and importance to the others. It was just a matter of waiting until they couldn’t keep their hand off one another and admit their feelings.
Wolf Found is intriguing and emotional. I loved the way the author added some pretty surprising information at the end, so that now I’m even more excited for the next book in the series.
Wolf Found is the second book in The Wolves of Kismet series by Sam Burns. It’s got suspense, drama, geat, sweetness…. the story is interesting and the characters likeable and worthy of a happily ever after.I am loving this series!. Graham is adorable and Ash is sexy and sweet. The world created here is fantastic and I want more of this series. Love it!.
Feeding love
“Kismet will take care of you.” The Kismet pack does all that and more. It’s full of caring, generous and wonderful people who take care of their own. I’d love to meet them all. On the other hand, I want nothing to do with the Martingale pack though. They along with a certain human are awful. Graham made my heart hurt and I want to hug him. He is clever and an absolute treasure. It was amazing seeing him find himself. Ash is kind, thoughtful, protective and so genuine. These two together; gah, I just want to squish them. They have sizzling chemistry and gave me a newfound appreciation for food. They have best kind of love and I wish them all the purposeless years in the world. A delicious love story and I can’t wait to see what’s next in this world.
A banned Alpha and an overlooked omega. Both from the same pack who suffered different destinies. Graham helps his friend to get away from a pack who treats omegas like trash. He is brave and loyal. He also gets a second chance at an Alpha who was kind to him. Ash has a new pack, a strong and modern pack who respect omegas. I liked this little but powerful pack. Graham and Ash go great together. The surprise on Gavin’s powers was awesome.
