A standalone title in New York Times bestselling author Vivian Arend’s light-hearted, feel-good paranormal series.~~~~~It’s not easy fighting destiny. Since discovering his heritage, Alaskan bush pilot Tad Maxwell has been torn between two worlds—human and wolf. He’s close to giving up on his dreams when Missy Leason suddenly re-enters his life. Ten years ago, their teenage attraction never went … ago, their teenage attraction never went beyond hand-holding. Now their chemistry is off the charts, pushing him closer to a step he’s not sure it’s safe to take, especially with a human.
Yet Missy is more like Tad than he realizes. She’s a wolf too, and a wolf pack is a dangerous place to have secrets. Missy’s unscrupulous Alpha has sniffed out her carefully hidden Omega powers, and she’s on the run—straight into Tad’s arms. While every touch between them is flaming hot, it’s only a matter of time before she’ll be tracked down.
If his un-tested power isn’t strong enough to save her, they could both end up dead.
Warning: Contains nasty Alphas, secret Omegas, and werewolves acting raunchy on the dance floor. Sarcasm, wilderness cabins, and hot nookie back by popular demand.

Really enjoyed this one. Found it stronger than the first one in the series.
Wolf Flight is a phenomenal paranormal romance by Vivian Arend. Ms. Arend has delivered a well-written book loaded with fun and lovable characters. Tad is a pilot and co-owner of Maxwell’s Silver Hammer, a transport service. He knows he’s wolf but needs to be triggered to shift. Missy never forgot Tad from their high school years. Her plan is to be the trigger Tad needs. Tad and Missy’s story is packed with drama, humor, sizzle, action and suspense. I enjoyed every page of this book and look forward to my next book by Vivian Arend. Wolf Flight is book 2 of the Granite Lake Wolves Series and book 2 of the Northern Lights Shifters Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
A fantastic series I’ve read many times. Love .
Loved Tad and Missy, great second chance shifter romance
Missy Leason is a rare Omega wolf. Recently widowed. Her Alpha and brother in law, has plans to claim her for himself. She needs to escape, but has a younger sister to protect. She has a risky plan. Her job will take her away for a few months. She reaches out to an old high school friend who she has been half in love with for years.
Tad Maxwell, is an untriggerd wolf. His chance of getting triggered, short of finding his mate, are slim. He is getting frustrated. When his high school crush let him know she would be in town his he can’t wait to see her.
Missy is excited to find not only is Tad is still untriggerd but as dawn to her as she is to him.
Missy is stunned and elated to find she and Tad are true mates. Tad not fully understanding what is happening nearly breaks both their hearts.
Missy’s Alpha has come for her. Pack law forced Tad into a fight to the death.
A sweet and steamy, second chance romance. Sweet slice of life epilogue to wrap up their story.
Tad and Missy definitely were in denial, but watching them getting it all figured out was a great ride! Their HEA was perfect for them and fit them exactly
This is the newer version.
I have owned and read this series many times but just recently realised my reviews from the back of the books have disappeared. I am really enjoying getting to know this pack again.
A gripping read.
I love that Tad was such an honourable person and wanted real romance in his life not some false mating. But his idiocy was over the top stupid. He acted all noble and didn’t let Missy explain what had happened before he went and put himself in danger which then put Missy in danger. Idiot males.
Apart from this bit of silliness this is one really good story that has a rotten alpha, true love, even if it is not recognised at first and action.
I own and have read this series many times but just recently realised my reviews disappeared. As the author has added to this book since I first bought it and has kindly given me the extra additions, I am happily rereading and reviewing them.
I love the added little epilogues we are getting.
Wolf Flight by Vivian Arend An Adult Paranormal Romance
3 Stars
Negatives and Positives
It starts off with a lot of promise. Around 30% or so it begins to drag a bit and the flow is off. I enjoyed it, but I was disappointed.
There are a few typo/editing errors and missing words. They don’t really interfere with the story.
There is a smattering of humor that will have you grinning.
The rules in this world are a bit convoluted. So are the various abilities of different characters.
While it is a quick and nice read, the main characters, Missy and Tad, the world build and interactions of all needed more development.
There are 2 novellas between book 2 & 3. They are First Howl (Granite Lake Wolves, #2.1) and Second Howl (Granite Lake Wolves, #2.2). The 1st one is an about Robyn and Keil, the mc’s from book 1. The 2nd is about Tad and Missy. Both take place at the same event and time, about 10 months after book 1 & 2.
I will probably skip them and go to book 3, Wolf Games (Granite Lake Wolves #3). I have a very good feeling about this series and the author. Definitely worth the read.
