Scientist, loner…werewolf?Fourteen years ago, I bit through the lip of the first boy brave enough to kiss me. Since then, I’ve acquired a Ph.D. in archaeology, a new teaching gig at a prestigious university, and research interests out the wazoo.Unfortunately, my social life is still as bleak as a raided Egyptian tomb.Until, that is, a stranger interrupts my class bearing the same ancient cat … class bearing the same ancient cat fang I see in my dreams. He’s rough around the edges and entirely riveting. No wonder my inner monster wakes up and seizes the reins.
Soon, wolf tracks appear on campus, the monster begins holding conversations without my permission, and a shadowy figure breaks into my office in search of the cat fang. Can I afford to reopen old wounds and display my darker half to the world just when I’m finally finding my feet?

To me, Olivia seems to be a conflicted powerhouse. My reaction to Olivia’s father was, “Goodbye, never loving.” I found Claw and his team are judgmental and demeaning. It was all of this conflict, along with the mystery to be solved, that made the story so interesting and enjoyable.
Part of Shifter Origins II (Series-Starter Shifter Variety Packs Book 2).
Wolf Dreams is Aimee Easterling’s first installment in her new Moon Blind series. True to style, Ms. Easterling gives us another unique perspective into the life of a werewolf. This novel showcases the dual nature in a new light. The storyline is fast-paced and well written. The characters are well developed and engaging. I look forward to book 2 to see where this story leads!
Well-written first in a series with fascinating characters and a tightly plotted story. Please note that graphic hunting sequences of prey animals are not for the squeamish.
It was my pleasure to receive this free book and give my honest review.
Moon Blind by Aimee Easterling is a brand new series and the first book, Wolf Dreams, is a page-turner! Olivia is a passionate archaeologist with a new teaching position at a prestigious university. She loves her students, but doesn’t have a social life because of the monster trapped inside her. She also blacks out and has visions, but she’s been told they’re not real. Her life gets even more complicated when she gets caught up in a dangerous adventure with a reserved stranger, his friends, and the president of the United States! This is a slow burn romance and the plot will keep you on the edge of your seat. The story has an ending, but there’s more to come.
I received an eARC and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Overall rating: 4.7
A truly unique read! This storyline put the dual nature of wolf shifters or werewolves in the spotlight. Blend this with archeology, spiritual trances, and magically endowed artifacts and the intrigue and suspense just fills the pages. I actually found the off kilter relationship with Claw to be very attention grabbing. Definitely not a cookie cutter romance! Loved this authors one of a kind perspective! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
ONE THRILLING RIDE!!!
OMG! Talk about living on edge. A whirlwind of activities and events that keep you flipping page after page. Aimee’s don’t pull any punches, no holds barred, and take no prisoners attitude really set the tone for this fast paced read that leaves you wanting more. One amazing storyline and strong plot bring this read blazing to life brilliantly. The characters were realistic with personalities and depth that screamed for respect. Sparks fly as danger ensues in epic proportions. Heart pounding and pulse racing as their hot and steamy connection grows. The scenes were so vividly detailed and descriptive that it gives the illusion you were right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Twists and turns abound with unexpected circumstances that really pull this bad boy together flawlessly. Remarkable job Aimee, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
I read the ebook and l just finished the audiobook. I really enjoyed the story and the narrator does a great job. I find audio really brings out the details that in reading may be missed. It really was like being there amongst the wolves/people. I loved the characters, mascot, uni and sharman therefore l wholeheartedly recommend this book 1 of this series.
