I loved this! It was hard to put down. We start with the MC going about normal life in high school. A guy that she’s been warned to stay away from. Forbidden. Well when you tell a strong willed person no you can’t do that..guess what happens? Luna goes after Nikko. He claims her, her wolf, and they’re mated. Packs on the verge of a war. A mythical sanctuary keep her safe? You’ll have to read it to find out!
I volunteered to read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and to submit an honest review.
Once again, Kellie McAllen has released a dynamite supernatural book. In Wolf Claimed, Luna Ammon has been feeling feverish and achy; she didn’t feel sick though – just off, weird. Luna’s best friend, Macy, had turned her into a vegetarian; however, when she smelled the bacon her mother was cooking for breakfast, she craved the meat so bad that she had to eat it.
At school, she found herself attracted to Nikko Brisbane, the school bad boy that her father and younger brother told her to stay away from as he and his father were bad news. In fact, they were werewolves just as Luna’s father and brother were; her mother and her had no clue. When Nikko saw Luna that day, he immediately was drawn to her, something that never happened in the past.
That coming weekend, her father and brother were going hunting, so she secretly arranged to meet Nikko – her father and brother would never know. When Luna and Nikko met up, all started out well until Luna herself changed into a wolf for the first time. Luna was petrified; Nikko had changed as well which scared her even more. A she-wolf is very rare. Nikko knew that claiming Luna as his mate would guarantee his position in his pack.
Without Luna knowing it, he claimed her as his mate. Luna is petrified to go home, especially since she doesn’t know how to change back into her human form. There is plenty of action and drama.
Wolf Claimed is a definite must read if you like the supernatural and shifter genre.
This is a new series by Kellie McAllen and reading it is easy and relatively quick. The story has a lot of emotion, romance and a bit of suspense. This is a sort of Romeo and Juliet type story with a twist.
Luna has always been warned to stay away from Nikko, but at some point, she decides not to listen to her father’s warnings and indulge in the attraction she feels for Nikko.
What they didn’t know was that the most exciting night of their lives would end up putting them and their families at risk.
The chemistry between Luna and Nikko is huge, but will they be able to face all the dangers that arise?
I loved the story and the characters and I recommend the reading.
I received an ARC from Ms. McAllen, and this is my honest review. This is the first book of Ms. McAllen’s that I have read. Luna is a teenager who is suddenly feeling very antsy with a voracious appetite. Nikko is a werewolf who not only attends Luna’s high school, but he is also next in line to become alpha. Nikko and Luna have been warned respectively by their fathers to stay away from each other. When Luna and Nikko share a night of unbridled passion, Luna unknowingly releases her wolf and Nikko claims Luna as his mate. In order to stall a werewolf bawl between their families, Nikko and Luna both decide to leave their respective family and town in order to keep the peace. As Nikko tries to woe Luna and have her accept him. Ms. McAllen draws us in to a modern Romeo and Juliette, but without as much death. I found the characters both likeable and some I could not stand. Wolf Claimed is a complete story that captures the reader and holds her hostage until the end. I enjoyed Wolf Claimed. Thank you Ms. McAllen. I look forward to reading more of your work.
