When she needs a lawyer she ends up with a fierce protector
Wolf Case is the first book in the Shifters at Law series and is the story of Lara and Ronan. This is a fast-paced, insta-love/fated mate, shifter/human story that is charming, romantic with some drama and danger woven in. I liked this book and the story-line along with both main characters. I think I am going to like this series of the shifters of the Casa, Fee and Lyon law firm.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Sophie Stern doesn’t disappoint with her shifter series. I really enjoyed the book. Shifters looking and finding their mates always interests me. There is someone out there that is fated for you is so romantic. This book was great from beginning to end..kept me engaged and smiling throughout. Ronan is looking what his parents had and finally finding it was wonderful. Once he set eyes on Lara, his wolf knew instantly and determined to make her his. Lara is going through so much in her life that she likes the idea of mates but doesn’t think it s for her. She feels the connection and is not denying it when she meets Ronan. The most hilarious scene in the book is when Ronan’s law partners and assistant bum rush the office when Lara is boohooing up a storm. ..I figured right then and there, I’m going to love this series. A very scary incident puts everything in perspective for Lara and she finally lets fate take over. I’m so glad things ended the way it did because it was a very lovely and satisfying end to the first book in the Shifters at Law series.

I have read Sophie Stern’s books before but not in quite a while and this book was absolutely delightful. It’s the 1st book in the Shifters at Law series. Ms. Stern has a way of writing a story line that draws you into the story from the beginning to the end. She interweaves all the characters in these stories together and each one is so delightfully flawed that you can’t help but cheer for their happily ever after. The stories aren’t too long and you can read them when you don’t have much time. It’s so fantastic to be able to escape into a story that leaves you feeling good at the end when this world is kind of crazy these days. Ronan and Lara’s story is one of finding your mate then having to go through trials to get your happy ending. This story has everything that you could want in a book; comedy, action, drama, conflict and of course hot romance. You really don’t want to miss the beginning of this great series.

Lara’s neighbor is harassing her and when she reports it nothing gets done. He is getting worse with each passing day. Now he is suing her and taking her to court. So Lara goes to the law offices of Casa, Fee, and Lyon. She gets in to see Ronan Casa and as soon as they touch hands he knows that she’s his mate. When he tells her that he’ll take her case and that he’ll do it pro bono she starts crying which has everyone coming in to see what’s going on. Soon its slipped that she’s his mate which has her running from him. However when her garage is vandalized she calls him for help. Can Ronan help her before its too late? Will she accept being his mate?
This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter and leave you wanting more with the last. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Love the storyline. It was very entertaining and you wanted to find out why the neighbor was picking on Lara. I loved the characters and the interaction that they have. You could feel their different personalities. I cheered for Ronan and Lara when they have to confront the neighbor Lester. I love the stories that Ms. Stern writes. I seem to own quite a few of them. I’ll add the complete series of Shifters at Law to my library. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Sophie Stern has written a short and fast 5-star book. Lara is a human living in a shifter community and is having problems with her next door neighbor Lester. He has filed a restraining order against her for harassment. Lara goes to the law office of Casa, Fee, and Lyon to see if there is anything she can do before court. She sees Ronan Casa and he knows that she is his mate from the moment she walks in. They talk about her case and then he tells her that she is his mate. She gets upset and runs out of the office. Things escalate with Lester and she calls the police and Ronan after she comes home from work to find her garage door has been painted with the words Human *itch. Ronan goes to talk to a neighbor and finds out the reason Lester hates humans. Lara and Ronan go inside and talk. They go upstairs and go to bed, later Lara wakes up and smells smoke, she wakes Ronan up and tells him. He tells her to grab her phone to call the police and fire department. When she is ready to jump out the window with Ronan’s help, he is attacked by Lester.
Will Lara let go of her past and let Ronan in?
Can Ronan get Lara to trust him and his feelings for her?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

Very good book with great characters. Lara moves to a shifter town and wants to be close to work and have her own home. Her neighbor, Lester makes this very difficult by threatening her if she doesn’t leave. Ronan who we find out is Lara’s mate steps in to defend her. But will Lester stop or will things escalate to the point of no return. Fast read.

First book by this author that I’ve read. I’m glad i took the chance and did. It wasn’t a long book, but it was still a good read. It’s nice to have a quick read about shifters. Even if it was on a shorter side, it still had enough drama and sexy times to be just what you need to fill some time. Worth the read

Lara is sweet and kind. Can she handle a wolf shifter as a mate? Lara is being harassed by a shifter neighbor just because she is human. When thinks escalate she goes to an attorney and meets Ronan. But as soon as they shake hands she is immediately attracted to him and he knows she is his mate and he tells her so. But it’s too much too soon and Lara runs out. But her neighbor won’t stop harassin and threatening her. Will she accept Ronan’s help before it is too late and she is hurt? And will she accept him as her mate?
