Two medieval ghostsTwo desperate loversJackson MacBride thought he knew his father well, but after his dad dies in a car accident, blackmailers contact him. His father owed them money, and now they want it from Jack. Desperate to protect his girlfriend, Mila, Jack gives them what he thinks they want and runs to his dad’s old fishing cottage. The last thing he expects to encounter on the way is a … on the way is a kilt-clad Scotsman with a message for him: call Wolf. How could a stranger know about his Navy SEAL cousin? Is his imagination playing tricks on him?
When Jack disappears, Mila is anxious to find him—even more so when the ghost of a beautiful Scotswoman visits her and tells her Jack’s in trouble. The woman, Gwyneth Ramsay, is an ancestor of hers, or so she says, and she practically pushes Mila out the door. Stranger yet, she knows exactly where Mila can find Jack.
Reunited with the help of two spirited ghosts, Jack and Mila contact Wolf. The situation they’re in is too complicated for the police, and besides, there’s evidence the local force has been compromised. With the help of Wolf and the two wild Scots, can they defeat their foes and ensure their future happiness?

Jackson learned some things about his dad he didn’t know, now some bad people are after him to repay debts his father owed. So to protect Mila, love of his life, he puts distance between them. Gwynnie and Logan are ancestors and ghosts from the past. They have come to protect their interests. They pop up at odd times and try to protect them. Wolf from Protecting Caroline shows up in this book because he’s a distant cousin of Jacksons. Danger, surprises and funny moments. HEA.

What can I say, I always love Keira Montclair historical romances and also the contemporary ones she has written. THIS contemporary one I think is my very favorite in that genre of her books! Jackson, such a wonderful guy, trying to protect Mila Ramsey from the mess his father made and embroiled him in after his death. As with all Keira’s heros, Jackson is protective of the woman he loves, yet not smothering and actually listens to her and she listens to him. And, of course, the addition of the ghosts of Logan and Gwenyth Ramsey is brilliant! So funny and knowing their characters from their story in Keira’s books, extra special. And Wolf – omgosh, loved him coming to help Jackson immediately. Love him!! AND loved, loved, loved the epilogue!!! Thank you, Keira Montclair, for yet another entertaining, page turning, can’t put it down book!

Special Forces: Operation Alpha Book One
Jackson MacBride thought it was bad to lose his girlfriend…he was wrong. Things got much worse. His dad died and secrets came to life. His quiet life changes and he has to protect those he loves. And he suddenly has unexpected help with that.
Mila Ramsay has a blast from the past enter her life. And she just wants to blast it back to the past. Unfortunately, the past has blinded her to the future and she needs to get back on track.
I loved this novella. It had me smiling and crying. When life started going wild for Jack and Mila…some Ramsays from the far past come to help make the future line stays safe and sound. Loved this story and reading about beloved characters from the Highlands.

Another great read from Keira Montclair! Readers of her Grant/Ramsay series will love catching up with some familiar characters, but the book is also great as a stand-alone read. I read it in a single sitting as it was just a fun, sweet read! I highly recommend it!
What an interesting, different and absolutely fun book! This book was a little different than Keira Montclair’s usual writings but this story had a visit with Logan & Gwyneth Ramsay, a couple of 700 year old ghosts we met in her Scottish Highlander Series books. The main couple in the story are Jackson MacBride & Mila Ramsay along with Jackson’s cousin Matthew aka Wolf, a Navy Seal.
The adventure includes rejection, blackmail, kidnapping, humor, action, bantering, romance & a HEA. What an enjoyable and entertaining read with wonderful characters to love. Another winner from Keira Montclair!
