Great introduction to a wonderful series.
It was a good fantasy story. The world was well-built. The main problem I had is that we seemed to wallow in misery for too many pages near the end of the story. I understand building a hero through trials. It felt a little too torture happy to just be accomplishing that. Goodkind has excellent plotting and world-building through the first handful …
I thought this was a great book.
This series is what got me started reading daily 20 years ago and I haven’t stopped
If you haven’t read this one then get it now. Beginning of one of the best fantasy series in history.
Great story. Loved this book and the next one as well
Good series, with strong male and female lead characters.
I really need to re-read this series.
There are people who loved this book, and even a series was created about it. For me, I read the first 3 of the books, and it was a slog at all times. Never truly believed in any of the characters.
I loved it and will be reading it again!
Love it
Love this book!!!
I absolutely loved the whole series. I love the author and try to read all Terry Goodkind’s books
Loved this whole series. Read it twice.
I love beginning a series that turns out to be great, and knowing they’ll be more to come.
I read Wizard’s First Rule on it’s first release, and was hooked on the characters, and the plot from the first chapter. Just when you think you’ve figured out where the story is headed, it twists into a completely different direction.
Absolutely One Of My Favorites. I Bought The Next 9 Books. LOVE IT!!!!
Love this series!!
best series i have read
This is a great book. Physically it’s very long but it reads like a short story and you are left wanting more. I’ve never read any other quite like this. Do yourself a favour. Buy a copy. Tell everyone you’re leaving town & then settle into the quiet and enjoy a really good read.
