Ayda Hanagan’s life had taken a whole new road to Hell when she agreed to lie down beside Babylon’s very own devil in disguise, Drew Tucker. She’d jumped straight into the fire, dragging her younger brother, Tate, along for the ride. No matter which way they both turned, Harleys and leather were their new reality, and they had to get used to the fact that acts of war and bad blood were never far … far away.
Lost in the screwed-up perfection of their new fairytale, Drew and Ayda thought they could handle anything life threw at them. For every cop, whore, or enemy that tried to tear them apart, they found strength in each other and a new weapon to fight back with. Only not all assassins wore their patches on their chest, and before they could even see the eyes of the wolves in the shadows waiting to bring them to their knees, they were all out of places to run.
With everything they’d ever believed in suddenly at risk, fear was no longer an option, and Drew and Ayda soon found themselves in the middle of a war that looked impossible to get out of alive. In order to survive, they had to learn how to fight together.
Without restriction.
Without thought.
Without mercy.
Even if that meant sacrificing everything they’d worked for, including each other.

Wow what an intense and compelling story, there is some angst and some violence in this gripping book. With characters that are very easy to love but they are all a bit damaged and love isn’t an easy thing for them, it means loss and pain. Working through internal battles as well as outside threats and trying to build and unite family this is a real roller coaster of emotional tangles and twists, it kept me on the edge of my seat at times, holding my breath even praying and having my fingers crossed. This book is story telling at its best, it gives the reader something of everything to give entertainment and escape from reality, it is something to sink into and get lost for hours. Leaves you needing to click the next book because its compulsive and you just have to have more.
Starts straight of where Consequences finished so book one is a must read. Ayda had a sense of belonging, and family with the MC, and each day her and Drew were getting closer together, learning about each other. Drew and Ayda go from strength to strength, Ayda knows he loves her even if he struggles with the words.
Everyone is getting along better than before with Ayda and Tate being accepted as family, but they have their struggles. Ayda is worried about whether see is doing the right thing with Tate, and Drew is trying to deal with everything that is going on with the club, the war they know is coming and that he doesn’t think Ayda won’t survive in the club world and tries to push her away, as always Ayda decides to push him right back.
I’m a little late to review this book as I read it much earlier this year and I have just finished book 3 and about to review. What really impresses me is that, I cant believe there are two authors for this series. I am so impressed that if i had not seen the front cover or knew before hand, then I would have no idea. The chapters flow and the story flows, and that in itself is no mean effort
Drew and Ayda OMG these two, so different yet so in sync and entwined each other, that these two were meant to meet as no one else for them would have the connection these tow have.
We continue with these two characters now definitely a couple with young Tate not only in the care of just Ayda, but has Drew looking out for him and the MC Brothers. Maybe not what Ayda thinks at the beginning this young man needs, but over time she sees the subtle influence of Drew and the MC start to have on Tate in a positive way.
It’s also when Drew needs to admit to himself and out loud that he truely does love Ayda, and even though he expresses and shows her in actions, it’s the struggle of him saying the words that he needs to be able to say.
Once again there is the never ending danger of outside influences trying to hurt the Hounds of Babylon and how this MC family come together to stand as one and protect each other, even give their life if need me.
There is an amazing twist at the end when it comes to the local law enforcement and Drew.
I actually felt I was there with this book as I read, the realism and how it played out in my head as a movie. As if I was watching it , to me this is the sign of a great book. I am a lover of MC and series, and I love how each book even though a continuation of the last, is still its own story and indeed of requiring its own book. Too many times you read a series, that you know could have been finished in the previous, but it is dragged out.
Not this series. Like I said I have just finished book 3 and cant wait to finish these reviews so I can jump straight into book 4.
My advise. Just read the series. Holy hotness, Ayda I wish my own man was more like Drew. We would never leave the house. I think throwing an MC jacket on him and a Harley between his legs wouldn’t even cut it.
Drew Tucker what a F….. . Lol
Now we have the end of the war that began when Drew went to prison. Some action and intrigue and even some dealings with the sheriff. While internal adjustments have been made to keep everyone safe there is still danger lurking. While we do get the story wrapped up with plenty of action and bloodshed it remains a good read it’s just missing something I can’t put my finger on. I do understand the great ratings because like I said it’s a good read. The changes in both of the main characters as they realized their feelings and the depth of them make the story stronger and the action and interaction with the other characters will keep you turning the pages.
Oh my goodness!
I thought the first book in this series was good but nothing could have prepared me for the brilliance that is this second book.
I’ve smiled, giggled, gasped, swooned and had my heart and stomach in my throat as I read this.
Drew and Ayda just get better and better, their love outshining everything they face and I absolutely love them both so much. I still love Deeks, man I have a massive soft spot for him and then there’s Kenny and Tate and Libby… gah I love them all.
Honestly if you haven’t read this series then I really do recommend. Now I must go start the third book… laters 😉
This is a fantastic written series that I’m loving. Ayda and Drew’s story continues along with the rest of the MC. The twists and turns of this book will have you hooked. The complicated life of the MC and life don’t always go hand in hand but Drew is trying to man up and deal with it differently than he would before and trying to not admit his feelings for Ayda isn’t helping. I’m loving this series so much these characters are so good I feel like I know them. I can’t wait to read more from this amazing series.

“I wasn’t sure what was happening as she slowly started to tremble, and then, without warning, she burst into tears, her head burying in her hands as ‘sorry’ came out in a frequency only dogs could decipher.”
“He’d watched too many westerns and starred in few too many imaginary gunfights growing up. The chief was too easy to mess with.”
“You might want to prepare yourself for me dressing you up in bubble wrap from now on. Three guard dogs everywhere you go. No venturing out after dark. Maybe a collar…”
“’Shush woman. I’m good. Never felt better. I’m a lion remember?’ My attempt at a fake roar sounded more like a dying cat.”
“He pulled me closer, being careful to avoid the injuries on my back versus the injuries on his chest. It was like an awkward game of body Jenga, trying to pull at the pieces that wouldn’t send us tumbling down.”
My Review:
Without Mercy picks up where Without Consequences ended, and it starts off with a bang due to a rather chilling scene for Drew and his pack. I still find him rather frightening, although his character has grown on me, as due to Ayda’s influence, he is not as dark or angry by the end of Without Mercy. This volume contained considerable action, steam, and suspense, as well as a bit of heartbreak, awakenings, and lots of drama. The authors seemed to really hit their groove in this installment, and the story sizzled with sensual scenes, as well as heartfelt discussions and interesting discoveries as the couple establishes and builds their relationship. The plot was inventive, multi-layered, suspenseful, and well crafted. The characters were complicated, deeply flawed, unpredictable, and unendingly fascinating. And even more unexpected humorous observations and witty banter – yum. I do believe I am hooked. More, please.
