If you thought Book 1 Between the Bleeding Willows was great you haven’t read nothing yet. Within the Darkest Hollows is mostly about Tyler and his connection to Rya and boy did this series take a turn with him. Cassidy gets taken to the Demon Realm and Tyler goes to save her only to be injured and finally have his Demon side let loose. i really love Killian but Tyler has a place in my heart also. i really liked reading about him. I kinda laughed at how Tyler got his wings. The Demon Tyler is appealing for some odd reason but cant wait to see it he can bury it or get rid of it in the next book.
I love this series. I highly recommend this series
This is the second book in the Demon Hunter series and I am really looking forward to the 3rd book. In this book we learn more of the demons and their world. Cassidy, Killian, and Tyler all have roles to play in this. In this book we get Tyler’s POV which is awesome. I’m not going to give anything away. So just go grab book 1 and book 2. I think you will really enjoy this series if you are into DEMONS and Demon hunters. It made me laugh alot. I really can’t wait to find out what’s going to happen next. p.s. I think this book was a little darker than the first, but it’s important to the story.
Cassidy is back and the fight continues. The ring that she has treasured all her life is found to be the ring that Rya has sought for years. After their last encounter with the demons, Killian has been left hurt and unable to return to the Clan because he cannot crossover. He has started acting strange and when Cassidy goes to get help he disappears. Tyler turns up saying that Killian showed up at his house saying he wanted to talk to Rya. The alarm bells are going off that something is truly wrong, but getting Killian help will not be easy. The danger is closing in around them and with the numbers of the Clan down, hope is not high but they must try if they wish to succeed at all.
Within the Darkest Hollows by D.A. Roach is book two in her The Demon Hunters Series. For me, this book is a step above the first book. There are more action, drama and more characters given than in the first book. I like that the author seems to have hit her stride and that she totally rocks with it in this book. We get to see some of the fightings ourselves instead of just being told that a fight happened and that now others are recovering. There are some surprise elements thrown in that I feel really help make this book even better. I like that the author tells more of Tyler’s story in this book as well. We get his backstory, and Cassidy is really put to the test as well.
There isn’t much that I don’t like about this book. I will point out that there are some minor editorial issues of either some misplaced punctuation or a couple of misspelled words, but nothing major. I like that this book is more intense than the first and that it brings a lot of action. I will admit that I get a bit annoyed with Cassidy at one point in the story, but I like that the author gets her to pull through with the help of Killian.
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. The author does an exceptional job with this book. There is tons of action and less setting the stage. I like that some more characters are brought in, new and old. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
The second book did not let me down. It brought in some amazing add players into the mix of Cassidy complex world. A world which is vibrantly described along with the perspective of all the player as a war is about to commence . Bring on book three.
This book was way too short for my liking. Not that the book was short of chapters or pages, I just flew through it because it was THAT good! D. A. Roach has the ability to create detailed worlds, fantastic and deeply thought out characters and plots that make you hold your breathe in anticipation. I couldn’t ask for a better book to review and who deserves more than the five allotted stars. If I had the ability to review with ten stars, I would. It’s just that good! I cannot wait for Book 3; Beneath A Sinister Moon. I have a feeling it will feel like it’s going to take way too long for my liking to get my hands on a copy!
Poor Cassidy has had her life torn apart. She lost her boyfriend to a accident. But when she finds him, he is a demon. She has fallen for the one person Who could have possible saved Jace. But Killian says it’s too late. But when Jace kidnaps Cass can Killian find her before something bad happens to her?
This is book 2 in the demon hunter series. It is by far the best series I’ve rever read. Book 2 is better than book 1. I love how you see Tyler transform even though it’s sad he is losing his humanity. I also love how Cassidy an Killian fall in love finally. Killian is my favorite he is so amazing and sweet and would protect Cassidy and keep her happy at any cost. Even to the extent to go and try and rescue Tyler! Personally I think Tyler is a goner. I would love to see him saved but Rya is such a horrible villian in this series it’s like shes unbeatable. It ended on Tyler vowing to murder Cassidy just to be with this evil woman! Definitely loved this one! I hope in book 3 we see Tyler saved an Cassidy become stronger than she ever has! Cant wait to get me some more Killian too!! Hes just the best!
Wow, what another great book. So much emotions went through me it was like a rollercoaster.
DA Roach did amazing job with this book. So much twists and turns. And wondering how it will go.
I can’t wait for more.
i loved the 2nd installment of da roachs demon hunters series this book is a little darker than the first since it has a lot to do with tyler, rya and jace in the demon realm i cant wait for book 3 to find out how the story ends!
Within the Darkest Hollows is the second book in D.A. Roach’s Demon Hunters series. By the end of book one, Cassidy discovered a new dimension where Demons and Demon Hunters carry out a centuries-old battle between good and evil just beneath the awareness of mortals. Having lost her boyfriend to a car accident and learned his soul had been possessed by the Demon queen Rya, she felt compelled to do something….anything to help the fight and save him with the help of Killian, the powerful leader of the hunters. Surprisingly, Tyler, a half-human, half-demon who had been promised to Rya, becomes a staunch ally in the fight.
During a fight with Rya, Killian is severly injured and stipped of his powerful and protective clan mark, a tattoo infused with angel blood. With his defenses down, Killian’s behavior begins to change, and Cassidy realizes more is afoot than a physical injury. Cassidy seeks the help of a powerful former hunger, Serena, who lives in the human realm but still has powerful spells and potions in her arsenal. All ‘hell’ breaks loose as Killian disappears with the enchanted ring Cassidy’s deceased mother had given her.
Cassidy must get the ring back to protect it from Rya, who is its actual owner. With it, she would have increased power and would be a greater threat to humans. Tyler had also been promised to Rya as a mate, which places him in danger as well. For now, Tyler is in love with Cassidy, and his inner demons are being kept at bay by powerful enchanted tatoos. He is noble, honorable and unwavering in his efforts to protect Cassidy, but the tattoos, are starting to disappear…
This book packs a punch in plot-building suspense. As a reader, I felt the tension building throughout as layer upon layer of conflict propelled me toward…toward…what? A final conflict is coming. I know it. The characters know it, but what will happen? Will Killian recover? Will Tyler’s dark side take over? Can Cassidy redeem her boyfriend’s soul? Will Rya choose the ring over Tyler? Will she get both? Will Cassidy ever have a home and family of her own? These are the questions keeping me up at night as I can’t wait for the next book in the series.
Oh man, with each book that I read from this series I fall more in love with Cassidy and Killian, their story is so unique and I can’t wait to read more of their story. Thank you so much Mrs. Roach for letting me read your wonderful books because I think I have found one of the greatest worlds that has ever been conjured up, and I can’t wait to go on this great journey with Killian and Cassidy, to find out if Good will triumph over Evil!
I love the darker direction this one took! Learning more about the demons, and what they are all about. Cass’s struggles in this one are something else. This series, loving it!
Good, this second instalment takes place just where first one ended and even better we get several point of view as the action takes place in each realms so we can follow what happen to the hunters compound, in the human realm and in the demons one.
Killian has an hard time to cope with everything but loosing Cassidy is the worse so he is willing to work with Tyler even if he is part demon to save her. In the meantime he is searching for allies to rebuild his clan compound and get ready for the war to come. When an angel comes to help it’s great but sadly not enough either.
In this book we get to see another side of Killian too he can be really patient and tender.
Cassidy is confronted to things she never expected and it does impact her deeply but since book 1 we know she is strong so seeing her in such a state in moving. Her courage and determination are really showing as despite everything she still think of others.
Tyler learns more about himself but also meet potential allies in Farron and Siobhan…not a friendship but a gesture of faith in a sense and we will get to see if his mind is as strong as we could believe as he has a lot to face from now on.
Really i enjoyed that the quality of writing stayed the same and to see what happen in the demons realm was really interesting. There were moving moments, lot of actions . We do learn a lot but the author also put the elements needed for the war to come answering questions and adding more as well.
The ending is a bit hard as cliffhanger so i can’t wait to jump in book 3
Another amazing book in this series! These definitely need to be read in order to be enjoyed and understood.
I loved that this book was a bit darker and had lots more drama and conflict. I like that the characters were able to grow in this one and show more depth. Cassidy was put through the ringer. And I loved that we learned more about Tyler and what his role is in this world.
I’m super excited to see what comes next and would definitely recommend this one for fans of YA paranormal.
