This book is the 3rd book in the series of 6. This one leaves you pointing fingers at everyone. The author does a wonder job a keeping you guessing. All the evidence and forensics is amazing. The murders are amazingly well written. Sadie is love able but hated person at the same time. The sex scenes are so tastefully written. I will definitely be reading the next 3 books in this series.
Wow, this is an ending I didn’t see coming. This was soooo good and I can’t wait to read Avery’s story.
Book Three is finally here….. This is a Dark Erotic Thriller 18+ recommended.
The entire force is in an uproar with their ME missing and no clue who the UNSUB is, they are running out of time. The clock is ticking and not only does Sadie have to worry about finding Avery she is worried about keeping her mother and Colton safe as well. As the clock ticks down Sadie feels the only way to keep everyone safe is to give the UNSUB what he truly wants and that’s herself. Will Colton and Quinn let her put herself at risk? Will they figure out who the UNSUB is before it’s to late? Will Colton and Sadie finally be able to open up and trust each other fully?
Trisha Wolfe blew it out of the water yet again! I had the honor of doing some beta reading for Trisha on the last 2 books in this series and let me tell you it was an emotional rollercoaster but I enjoyed every second of it. This entire series was an edge of the seat, fast paced, second guessing, spine chilling, very breath taking erotic read. Just when you think you have it figured out the *tiny bitch* changes it up on you. It was brilliantly written from the plot, characters created, down to the very erotic sex scenes. You will get all the answers in this book. It is a MUST READ!!!! Trisha has a way with sucking you in from the very first page until the very end. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next. TRULY BRILLIANT!!
The final showdown!
Phew! What a ride it’s been. Who knew that this was going to be such a complex murder case?! Oh my, what a suspenseful mindfuck. It was way more intricate than what I thought it would be, but oh so good!!
When you like gripping suspense with a little steam added to the mix, this series is a great storyline to dive into especially because it’s so unpredictable.
The Story:
Since someone close to Sadie was taken by the killer, time was running out way faster than ever. With barely anyone to trust, will Sadie be able to find the woman in time and save her before the killer loses his interest and discards of her too?
Thoughts:
Colton was a rock for Sadie. He helped her in so many ways and guided her into acceptance of her inner demon. Sadly, their relationship took a backseat in this final installment, although there was never the entire focus on it before either but rather on catching the killer – which I preferred anyway. But at the end, I was unsure where their future will lead them and that’s kind of unsatisfying.
Regardless, the suspense in the story was there from start to finish and somehow I did not see the ending coming. I also did not guess entirely correctly about the villain, although I had a suspect at one point whom I discarded too quickly. Other than that, there was no way to discover the bad guy until they he was revealed by the author. I loved this a lot because there’s no better way to ruin the suspense of a story than to uncover the villain right from the start.
The only thing I wasn’t keen on again was the UNSUB’s POV because somehow his chapters confused me every time during this entire series and I didn’t like the way it was written at some parts. Maybe it was purposely but for me it was rather irritating and took me out of the suspenseful and thrilling mood I was in from Sadie’s POV’s.
Can’t say that I saw the ending coming and I also can’t say that I was very fond of it, but I liked it nonetheless in a strange way.
What a journey this series has been. The search for a killer finally comes to a conclusion and in the fashion of how this author has written this series it is not done in an orthodox way.
There is nothing more sweeter as a reader to not know the journey I am about to take when starting a book. This series took you places you never expected to go, blew your mind a time or two and if you have the tendency to side more on the twisted side of thinking this ended will satisfy all your cravings.
Bravo to a great series!!
