I have watched her from afar for many, many years. Those flame colored locks tumbling down her delicate shoulders, that creamy-white neck when it is stretched and exposed.

I received this ARC from Bad Boy Update. Once again Georgia sucks you int the world of her characters. This time it is the Russian Mafia and the daughter who wants no part of her father’s world, but is promised to a rival family – to the one man she despises the most. I loved the drama, the intrigue, the back stories and misunderstandings and the simmering passion that shows the line between love and hate is truly a thin one. Freya is determined to never fall for Maxim, but as they say…be careful what you wish for! Loved it!
This book had me on the edge of my seat. We have two mafia families who don’t necessarily get along. This book had my whole attention and I couldn’t stop until I devoured every last page. It’s packed with action, a strong heroine, mystery, and angsty romance. I love this couple, Maxim and Freya, they struggle as any couple would given their situation. But the amount of love Maxim has for Freya is beautiful. She’s not one to be fooled and she doesn’t go down without a fight.
You’ll love it!!

What a terrific novel to start out the new year! I absolutely loved it. It was so good that I started reading it, went to bed, and woke up in the middle of the night to finish the story.
The plot was dark and dangerous with so much spice. It was twisty too with surprises around the corners. Some things I did not expect like the gun shot. Shocker! I held my breath here. I was also surprised she did not pay for that gun shot with her life.
The characters were also likeable. The push and pull, cat and mouse game between the two was entertaining.
-Freya was so strong. How she hid from her father’s bratva and done things on her own. She’s very independent and I loved that about her. She puts her foot down no matter what the consequences.
-Maxim is tall, dark, and dangerous. He always gets what he wants no matter what. He’s also very secretive. He hides his feelings (I guess) to make himself seem much more dangerous.
My favorite thing with this book was all the drama and suspense. It was spot on and kept me on the edge of my seat. You could not guess what was going to happen and I love that in a book. I can definitely see this a reread for me.
My only negative thought in the book was the name Freya. I know I’ve seen the name in other books but couldn’t figure out which ones. I finally found one that “Freya” was the name of a main character in another one of her books called, “Highest Bidder.” However, I have a feeling the Freya is this novel has showed up in other books since alot of the characters cross paths.
This is a dark mafia romance, and I loved it.
This is the story of Maxim & Freya. He is in the Russian Mafia. Freya is a bartender, and she is trying to start a business with her best friend. Maxim and Freya’s dads have always been enemies. Freya also hates Maxim. They knew each other ten years ago. Now her father is in the city for a day and has requested to see her. She never expected to see Maxim there. Her father wants her to marry Maxim, who has agreed, so both Families have the ultimate power. Then, bad things start happening. I have never seen such stubborn characters, and the misunderstanding of feelings going through their minds. There are humorous parts in this story, as well as a lot of action. The action parts are so well described in detail, it was as if I was right there. The attraction is off the charts between the two of them. This is an outstanding story. It is really well written. I couldn’t put the book down once I started. Can’t wait to read the next book.
