A fantastic start to a new series. If the rest are even half as much fun as this one was, I can’t wait to read them. The characters were easy to connect with – my heart broke with Rachel’s uncertainty and I sighed in delight as she and Logan got closer. I loved watching Rachel discover her self confidence and Logan learn to trust again. Highly recommended.
I received a complimentary copy of this book.
I really enjoyed With This Click, I Thee Wed! It’s a unique take and different from the typical romance story, yet it still has great romance and a wonderful happily ever after. I would love to read more in this series.
4 stars
I purchased the novella ClickandWed.com Series book 1: With This Click by Bonnie R. Paulson and this review was given freely.
Told from Rachael’s point of view, this is a fast paced novel riddled with sarcastic humor and reflecting her strong will and ability to overcome adversity while gaining a sense of self worth and a loving but at times clueless husband. Leaving an unloving and unappreciative family and hostile hometown, recent Ohio divorcee Rachel seeks a new beginning and a new year as a ClickandWed.com client bride to Idaho rancher Logan. At first disappointed, she finds herself in a snow covered hovel with a seemingly uncaring man. However, the required tasks for ClickandWeb and her Online organization business give her purpose, she finds closure with her family, and draws closer to Logan.
Was easy reading and just loved the two main character.
I enjoy a well-written book and this author delivers that. However, this book was not adequately proofed. It looked like it was run through spell-check only. My personal pet peeve was the use of “that” in place to “who”. “She was a person that liked to….” instead of “who liked to…” This is an issue in the first three of her Click & Wed books. I find the lack of proofing distracting so don’t plan to read any more books in this series.
It was a good read – kept your interest.
I could say finding myself reading this book is funny… and spooky.
I telling my friends this week that I needed books with more a realistic approach to romance. I love the billionaire and bad boy stories, but I needed something that I could relate too. Something that could give me hope, that regular people could fall in love and that fighting for a marriage mattered.
With this click, I thee wed was the answer to all of what I was looking for and even though it wasn’t ground breaking for me as a romance, it had all those little details that I’d longed to read on a book about marriage. I’m not more a hopeless romantic than the rest but I do believe in fighting for your marriage, when the husband is not abusive, of course.
Rachel and Logan are an amazing couple. How the got together is even more crazy. Who would have thought that a matchmaking online site would be able to actually match you with your other half just by answering the right questions? I wouldn’t have thought that at all.
I could sing the praises for the story line and the plot until you got tired of hearing me. It was a slow build and it was different from what I’m reading lately but it was just as endearing for me as you could imagine. I’m just sappy like that and seeing the characters grow into a marriage was so satisfying.
One negative was that we only got to see Rachel’s point of view. There were times I would have loved to see Logan’s side of things. The good thing about Rachel telling the story was that the author was consistent with her writing. The character’s mind showed how she was worried about a lot of things and how she grew during the book. It was a little bit annoying at times but I could put it aside because I saw some things in the way Rachel thought that reminded me of myself. We don’t speak all of our thoughts so…
Another, kind of negative, and this is just in my personal opinion, was the lack of sexy times. This book is a romance and doesn’t have a pinch of sex in it. It could be a blessing or a curse, in my opinion it was a blessing for the story that the author was trying to tell, but at the same time I love me some sexy times *wink*
I would love to get my hands on the rest of the series this book is part of. I think I should find a way to get a new job so I could get the money to buy them all *laugh*
Recommending this books to all of you that believe in marriage and that it’s worth putting in the effort to make it work. Clean romance with realistically looking characters and a beautiful HEA.
After making a big dinner for her parents on New Year’s Eve and her parents not showing, Rachel drowned her sorrows and got on the internet. She found a site called Click And Wed and after filling in a quick survey – she was married!
Since she was divorced from a real jerk and not very well thought of by her parents, moving across the country to be with her new husband was actually good for her. Then getting to his ranch and seeing that he is not hard on the eyes is even better. Unfortunately, he is struggling to save the ranch.
I liked the concept of getting married over the internet. It was funny to think that couples could get married without even meeting, as long as they paid $2,000. They could get the money back if the marriage didn’t work but they have to stay together for 6 months and give it a good try first. During those 6 months, the couple has a checklist of activities to do that are designed to help them get to know each other better.
I enjoyed this quick easy read. It was a fun romance with an HEA. I love those.
Nothing. Not realistic in the most broadest sense. Who in their right mind would consider themselves legally married from applying for a husband online.
Loved it.
Not what I was expecting. Plot under developed and I felt I was left waiting for something (anything) to happen…still waiting.
Cute fun summer read.
Romantic and down right hilarious the majority of the book. It’s a fresh perspective on how relationships begin.
Interesting premise, book fell flat. Mainly skimmed.
E-Mail Order Bride!
This is a fun idea and well executed plot. The course the story takes is not exactly what you would expect. I really enjoyed this author’s writing. I have been in some of the situations portrayed and the author nails it! The characters have real emotion and are far from perfect people. I think this will be a fun series to read!
An interesting premise, although her parents were so horrible it was unbelievable (I mean sever-all-contact awful), but the guy was sweet and there was a HEA.
really funny read. new twist about meeting someone online…
Simple story with solid characters.
Using a spin from online dating, it is online wedding. Rachel, in her drinking alone stupor on New Year’s, sees a commercial for choose a marriage partner. In the tipsy moment, she goes for the gusto and ordered a mail-order husband. Her parents are totally negative towards her and she just needs to get away. This was the perfect opportunity. Logan was a handsome man in dire straits financially after his parents died. Rachel is being sued by her ex. Is a pact to get a refund at the end of six months the way to go or can Logan and Rachel find happiness? This is the first book I have read by Bonnie Paulson and I really liked it.
