If you liked Cheryl Bolen’s first installment in her Brides of Bath series set in Regency England, you’ll like this one. With His Ring has plenty of sensuality. – Happily Ever After

Glee Pembroke has turned down countless offers of marriage because she has secretly been in love with her brother’s best friend, Gregory Blankenship, all her life. When she learns Gregory will lose his considerable fortune if he’s not wed by his twenty-fifth birthday, she persuades him to enter into a sham marriage with her. What he doesn’t know is that she plans to win his heart. She will do everything in her power to make him happy – including mimicking the ways of a “fast” woman since he’s noted for alliances with women of that sort.
Why did he ever allow himself to marry the maddening Glee? He’d thought they would have great fun, but at every turn, she exasperates him. Why does she persist in wearing the bodice of her dresses so blasted low? Why do other men persist in flirting with her, his wife? And why in the blazes has his heretofore complacent life been turned upside down by this sham marriage? He finds himself longing for a real marriage, but for reasons he cannot divulge, that can never happen.

IN LOVE WITH HER HUSBAND
Gregory Blankenship vows to never marry. His greatest fear is loving a woman and losing her in childbirth. He’s willing to give up his inheritance if he doesn’t marry by the time he’s twenty-five. Glee Pembroke is determined to marry the man she’s always loved. Her plan is to get Gregory to agree to marry her for a marriage of convenience and then seduce him to love her. Glee is one brazen young lady who understands human nature and loves Gregory to distraction. Her antics are hilarious and drive Gregory crazy. You never know what she’ll do next.
A lovely story of people who are hurting. Glee is an incredible young woman with great insight to human emotions. It was a joy to read. Thank you.
Don’t waste your time with these immature characters and a formulaic plot.
Cute. The female lead is a bit disappointing though.
Very good read….
I enjoyed it but I wish it would have continued.
I loved how the characters change almost immediately after they are married…..in two very different directions! It was great to see the story unfold! I can’t recommend this one enough!
“With His Ring” captured my heart from page 1 and I couldn’t put it down until I finished it. Which I did in less than 24 hours. Thank God for rainy, lazy Midwestern afternoons and a most understanding husband who lets his wife indulge in tea and a good book now and then! This book is book 2 in a series which I admit I read out of order though I own book 1. It can definitely be read as a stand alone as I did but I am glad I own book 1 so I can catch up on some things about the main characters family I missed. Which brings me to the characters. The female lead ,Glee, is so relatable that I found myself laughing , crying and even getting angry when she did. Cheryl Bolen is so descriptive with her writing I could feel the love and chemistry between Glee and Gregory burning up the pages as I read! It was easy to see why Glee could enchant everyone in her husband’s company and at the same time infuriate her husband in equal amounts.
Overall, this is a very well written, delightfully enjoyable book to spend a rainy afternoon with. Well done, Cheryl!
An exemplary example of true love in marriage!
The writing was good. The story was just too predictable. I knew the outcome a few pages in.
My favorite character was Glee. She knew what she wanted and went for it.
yes to this very enternaining Book I loved it!
A fairly good pass time
I don’t usually like Regency books, but this was good!
Wonderful characters in this story, hard to put down! The main female character easily led the story through many ups and downs.
Stilted writing good story
Loved it!
Too predictable
Fun and interesting story or two unusual characters. I found the book moved quickly with many twists and turns. A nice enjoyable story!
Fun read!
