When Keir’s coyote, his devoted witch’s familiar, is kidnapped, Keir’s unhealed grief over the recent deaths of loved ones he could have saved is rubbed raw. Hit with the reality that his beloved coyote is facing heinous torture and possible death, Keir must find a way to rescue his familiar and defeat the self-blame confounding his focus as a shamanic healer. He searches the crime scene–a … stream through one of the coven’s magical ravines–but is unable to find any solid clues. An enchanted willow reads his frustration and passes his despair to the wind coursing southward along the waterway.
Far from his Indiana hill country home, Unole, the talented daughter of a Native American wise man and Keir’s former teacher, reads that wind and hears his plea. Realizing the wronged man is Keir, her teenage crush, she’s eager to help–until thwarted by a past deal of black magic she now regrets.
Using what had before seemed only a harmless promise Unole made, along with a secret buried deep in Keir’s past, the kidnapper weaves a dangerous web of deception. Keir and Unole stand to lose everything–his coyote and career, the love they just discovered, and even her life.

Series Description:
Those be the witches who draw bliss and bane from the smallest slip of nature–strong old ways.If you think you’re brave enough to venture deep into Coon Hollow Coven’s forest ravines, consider this–rumor has it that their witchcraft lives and breathes through souls of dead kin. Why else would they uphold a 1930s lifestyle from the time their founding families settled the southern Indiana hill country? Folks from the neighboring small town of Bentbone mostly don’t mind…or at least try their best to keep safe distance from coven members. But for some townies, nothing will keep them from falling into those witches’ bliss and bane.
COON HOLLOW COVEN TALES series was inspired by the neck of the woods where Marsha A. Moore spent her favorite childhood years surrounded by the love of a big family. The tales are set in a fictitious community, south of Bloomington, and the books are rich with a warm Hoosier, down-home feel.
If you like mysterious goings-on in secluded hill country villages & deep forest ravines, sprinkled with heaps of witchy magic, mysticism & adventure, then you’ll love Coon Hollow Coven Tales.
A note to readers: ALL THE COON HOLLOW COVEN TALES NOVELS CAN BE READ AS STAND ALONE BOOKS. The series is about one community, and its residents may pass in and out of various books, but each book has its own unique and special story to enjoy.

I love the Coven Hollow witches and the stories about them. Each one unique with a message. Keir’s familiar is missing and he knows who has it. All of his past mistakes with Adara are now his undoing. With his status and work in the community at risk and his familiar missing he sets off on a mission to destroy her and bring to light her misdeeds against the coven. He has no idea the repercussions of his actions both past and present. Deaths, jealousy, betrayal will be his downfall without the help of his friends.
This author has created a wonderful world where witches, warlocks, seers and more co-exist and possibilities abound. I love the characters both bad and good who bring this world to life. It’s easy to believe it’s real with the imagery provided. This is a great addition to the series.
Witch’s Windsong: A Coon Hollow Coven Tale is a novel that is a unrivaled & Imaginative. A magical tale of witchcraft, mysticism, & adventure. Character’s crossover from previous books in this series. Well detailed world building descriptions and settings. This is Keir and Unole’s story of grief and guilt, of past mistakes and future promise. Plenty of mystery & romance to keep you captivated until the end.
This is my second book by this author and it will not be the last. Again I found a story that was very well written with complex, but characters that make human mistakes. Coon Hollow has a better more positive future since replacing the previous High Priestess, Adara, but she’s back with a vengeance. Seer Keir Sheridan is her target this time. I absolutely loved this book. Keir goes back to the reservation to see his mentor and get some clarity. I love the different types of magic and shaman’s lessons. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end. I cried and I laughed. It was really exciting. I volunteered to read an advanced reader copy and am under no obligation to leave this review.
The very first thing I think when I read a book by this author is just how whimsical her writing is. In this latest book, we are introduced to Keir and Unole, two wonderful characters who reunite as adults after having known each other when they were a little younger. Including great characters, this book was filled with such romance, love, mysticism, and down-home country people, you couldn’t help but fall in love with everything. I laughed, cried, gasped out loud, and loved just about every minute of this book. You don’t need to have read the other books in this series as it’s written as a standalone. Give it a try. Recommend! I was provided the e-book which I voluntarily reviewed.
Once again a wonderfully agonizing and thrilling tale of Coon Hollow Coven has been offered by Marsha Moore. She is a wonderful weaver of tales that draws you in and enchants your heart. I loved this book as I have loved everything she has written!
A wonderful story, beautifully written in language that paints an evocative picture for the mind’s eye. Keir, Unole, Logan, Abby, Rowe and Jancie…what powerful characters! It is Keir and Unole’s story we read in Witch’s Windsong, a story of grief and guilt, of past mistakes and future promise. Whether you are old fans of the series or newly initiated, you will enjoy this novel which like all the others in the series is a standalone with a great HEA. If this is a new series to you, give yourself a treat and read the rest. Highly recommended.
