Great book. Parts of it reminded me of the creepy feeling I got in Savannah once when I walked in the door of one of the hotels on River Street. I love the beach cliff setting of the town. I love that no one bashes or shames the main character because of her age and that most of the supporting characters are around her age. The storyline is modern, fun, interesting, and unique with some laugh out loud moments. The characters are sassy, tender, and feel very real. I love the coven girls (Hope, Joy and Grace) and I can’t wait to see what they get up to next
I love all her books, but this one is in a whole new genre and I love it even more. Do yourself a favor and give it a read.
Finally, authors of a certain age have decided to write for their peers. I loved this story. Grace proves that no bad man can keep a good woman down. She redefines her life in the most wonderful ways and brings her nutty friends along for the ride. I love this new town the author created and look forward to reading about the rest of her coven. Great wold building and fun characters always make Deanna Chase books a much read.
Grace Valentine is starting over after her husband decided to turn her in for a younger model. She moves to Premonition Pointe for a new start applying for a job at her soon to be ex’s real estate competition. She is given a chance to prove herself by handling three homes. The homes in question have been on and off the market for a while, marked as
difficult homes. Reason they are hard to sell is because they are all haunted.
Good thing Grace is a witch and she has help from her coven sisters and BFF’s Joy and Hope.
These three women together are quite the hoot! Grace just may be able to pull off the sales on the houses. Along the way of course there is a bit of little humorous kind of harmless hexes.
No one wants to tick off a menopausal witch let alone three of them!
This is such a fun new series of older heroines. It is nice to finally get their turn to shine and kick some serious butt.
This is book one of a series, it is a stand alone story though. Happily ever after for Grace. I can’t wait to see what is in store for Hope and Joy.
Overall rating:4.5
This is the first tale with witches that really did not make them out to be all powerful. I am actually glad that there was more to this than just witches and their powers. Grace’s midlife woes truly do happen ( sans the magic) . Premonition Pointe seems like a great setting for more tales about these characters. Looking forward to the next. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
This book was my introduction into the world of Deanna Chase and boy am I hooked! Totally wish I lived a Premonition Pointe with my coven of no sht taking ladies. Now to patiently lol wait until May …..
I am so loving this new genre of paranormal women’s fiction! It is so refreshing to read about women older than the traditional 20 something heroine who have a bit more going on as far as being confident in who they are. Grace is an easy character to love. She knows her own value and, even coming fresh off a divorce, she is not broken. She’s moving on with her life in a very purposeful way that is so awesome to read. However, even with all this confidence and sense of self, she still has some hang-ups and insecurities that stem from societal expectations of older women and divorced women and I love that she has them! It’s a character’s insecurities and flaws that make them feel real and relatable! The feel of this story was a lot like the Keating Hollow books with the magical town, strong sense of family ties, and the close friendships. I love this type of story, it’s very heartwarming, even when situations get a little dark for the characters. I can’t wait to find out more about Grace’s friends Hope and Joy when their stories come out! Much like Keating Keating Hollow, Premonition Pointe is a place I now want to live!
5 BIG
What a wonderful story with all the feels! An emotional rollercoaster in the best way.
I can’t wait for more!!

Deanna Chase delivers an amazing PWF story that will capture your attention and keep you enthralled in its pages. A sweet new beginning for witch Grace. After her husband leaves her for a woman half his age, she is facing starting life over from scratch at the beautiful age of 45. With a new freedom to finally do what SHE wants to do Grace grabs her life by the horns and runs with it. Now she has a new career taking off and a new coworker who keeps her supplied in hot flashes and sexy thoughts! All Grace has to do is sell a few haunted houses, figure out things with Mr. Hotty, and find the happiness she deserves for herself and her life, easier said than done when accidental hexes and jackhole exes are involved.
There is life after Forty. And amazing stories. Witching for Grace is one of them. Married for years and he decides he wants a younger model and Grace’s job. Starting over isn’t easy but she’s going to do it. She’s a great real estate agent. She doesn’t need her ex’s company she can get her own job. He’ll be missing the sales she brings in. It’s going be a problem getting one with the only other agency being his rival. She’ll just have to convince him of her worth. And meet his unrealistic requirements.
Hot flashes and hexes. She’s going to have to watch what she says and wishes would happen to those who make her mad because those little wishes are starting to come true. Although, there are a couple she’s not sorry about. (you will love them)
It’s a great younger-man romance along with ghost-hunters, fab besties, and family love and commitment. Throw in some jerks, bad guys, a little steam and you’ve got a great read you won’t want to put down. Enjoy, I sure did.
Witching For Grace: A Paranormal Women’s Fiction Novel (Premonition Pointe Book 1)
by Deanna Chase is a Paranormal story that is fun and crazy and all it needs is one pair of shoes. Has been written by one of 13 Fabulous authors who decided to take the literary world by storm and show them that stories can be written about women who are 40 and be just as good if not better than books written for younger women. Deanna has written a wonderfully crazy magical story where Grace finds herself traded in for a younger woman and going head to head in the world of real estate. She must find a way to sell the unsellable and make a new name for herself but she must also decide if she has room for love. I loved the situations that Grace and her friends found themselves and laughed from start to finish. Never underestimate the power of besties and witches. NOW I just have to wait for the next one and I hate waiting…….

Witching For Grace: Premonition Pointe Book #1
This is a fun story that touches on some serious serious topics lightly. Grace, Hope & Joy are Witches & bestfriends living in Premonition Pointe, they’re a small but powerful coven. Grace is starting over & about to start her new job under a trial period. She’s an experienced Real Estate Agent but has been has given the hardest 3 properties to sell, they’re haunted & definitely put off any potential buyers!!
Owen is new to Premonition Pointe & has just started at the same office as her. He’s younger, gorgeous & determined to take her on a date!! Her Niece, Lex, convinces her to give him a chance regardless of the age difference. They seem to click on every level. Now she needs to get her act together with these properties if she wants to keep her job!!
This is a witty, sweet & fun read. Grace comes into her own as the story unfolds & she learns to except what truly makes her happy and not what she *thinks should* make her happy, Finding the ‘right’ people for the houses helps her to see that!! Letchery, misogyny, bigotry & domestic violence are touched upon briefly but are dealt with beautifully – nothing tragic happens!! This is a lovely read!

Absolutely everything from the stunning cover, to the final word was just magical.
Grace Valentine, such a cool name and such a seriously beautiful woman, along with her besties Joy and Hope, her niece Lex and even her sister Alyssa they all made one kick-ass story come to life, in the quaint town of Premonition Point.
I loved that this story made me laugh, cry, get angry and seriously wonder about the male species…lol it also made me snicker a few times at Grace’s ability to curse people…lol
Now I’m counting down to Hope’s story that’s how much this new series grabbed me.
I am reading books written by a group of authors about an MC being in her 40s called PWF and having to start over (paranormal women’s fiction). This is one of those books. I’ve been reading this author for quite a while, and I was eager to dive in. I will admit that at first the book seemed a little slow to get started as first books can do. However, once the author hit her stride, the book was the great book I’ve come to expect from her. I loved how confident, proper, and put-together Grace was. She took her not-so-good circumstances and turned them to her advantage. The side characters were fun, too, and I know we’ll be seeing more about them in the future. This was a great series starter, and I’m looking forward to more in the future. Recommend.
This book is part of the PWF movement. A Over 40, kick butt woman taking control of their life. This book is about Grace. She and her best friends start this story off with them doing a spell for Grace to clam her self -confidence back. She has a job interview at the local real estate office. The one that competes against her ex-husband. Yes she needs to start standing up for herself. Her friends also give her the perfect pair of shoes. Ones that say kick butt and take names.
We need to remember that this is a town based on Premonitions. That morning before the job interview Grace takes a walk on the beach to her favorite spot for some cleansing time. While there she hears some whispering words that can only be wise words she should fallow from the heart of Premonition point. One her job interview she meets Owen. The new town hotness. He also works at the office where she wants to work. He seems interested in Grace. Even though he is a few years younger. The job is going to be hers if she can sale the haunted houses that nobody else has been able to sale.
She in list her best friends in the hunt to find the perfect person for each of the houses. While trying to sale the houses. Her sister ,Alyssa, has a Jack butt boyfriend that is a butt of the worst kind. He has ran off her niece,Lex. Who moves in with Grace. You can see they are hurting for Alyssa and want to help her. She is not budging about anything.
With all this going on her ex is bumping into her everywhere. He is making sure he is being seen and heard. grace says some things while going about that seem to have come true. I think her power has increased since she has moved on and upward. She finds she has hexed a few people along the way.
Every thing turns into a poop storm towards the end. We don’t know if she is going to sale the houses, get the guy, be happy for and with her sister, and be able to go about life without running into the ex-husband.
I really like how this book moved. I love all the people. I think the end was a great ending and it tied up Grace’s story nicely. I look forward to reading more of this series.
Starting a new series can be a bit difficult to get into because the author is setting up the town, characters, and the story. I struggled a bit with this book. It was a bit slow which is understandable as the author is trying to set the story.
Once the storyline picked up I was interested in the cute little town and it actually reminded me of Keating Hollow, where this community would be it’s own witchy community.
I had some laughs while reading this book, as well as wishing I could curse some of the guys. I really enjoyed the sisterhood of the coven. I’m looking forward to see what happens with Joy and Hope as their issues was left unanswered.
