When a dystopian government controls every aspect of society, siblings Wisty and Whit Allgood may be the world’s only hope in this magical beginning of James Patterson’s Witch & Wizard series.Everything is about to change. The government has seized control of every aspect of society, and this is the astonishing story of Wisty and Whit Allgood, a sister and brother who were torn from their … brother who were torn from their family in the middle of the night, slammed into prison, and accused of being a witch and a wizard. Thousands of young people have been kidnapped; some have been accused; many others remain missing. Their fate is unknown, and the worst is feared-for the ruling regime will stop at nothing to suppress life and liberty, music and books, art and magic . . . and the pursuit of being a normal teenager.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS BOOK!! From the very beginning, it captures you and doesn’t let go. I honestly read this book in one day because I just couns not put it down. The book takes place in a world where magic, books and basically all creativity is banned. Personally, I thought the setting was pretty cool. Also, the set up is pretty cool. The majority of the novel is a flash back to explain what happened to the main characters. OVERALL, I REALLY DO RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!
I like this book so much that I could hardly put it down. In fact I liked it so much that I bought the series.
The series was listed for a young or teen audience. I found that in my senior years it was quite entertaining. If you were a fan of Harry Potter or Percy Jackson series you will like this.
Whit is my favorite character he’s a overprotective brother who has magic and wisteria she’s a amazing, brave, never afraid to take a risk I love this book and all the others I recommend this and all the others
Wizard & Witch is about two high school kids who’d been ripped out of their home by the New Order soldiers. I Am the One Who Is the One wants Whit and Wist to renounce their former ways. Except they have no idea what he is referring to. Wisteria is accused of being a witch while Whitford is accused of being a wizard.
There world is turned upside down. They are confused by this turn of events given it’s the twenty-first century. They were captured and brought to a reformatory. They were in disbelief about being captured for having deviant powers.
This is a young adult paranormal fantasy book. This is book 1 in a 5 book series. Book 1 introduces The New Order a political government regime containing kids with special powers. They are accused of crimes. They have one month before Whit is executed for being a Wizard.
Narrators:
There’s a score of musical activity playing behind the voiceover actors. It adds a sense of adventure to the read. The narrators performed the scenes word perfectly. This was an unabridged audiobook. The is a dual performance with alternating points of view.
Spencer Locke is the young female voice of Wisty. She brought young Wisty’s character to life.
Elijah Wood is the young male voice of Whit. He brought young Whit’s character to life.
This was a short book. It’s easy to read. It’s par for the course that this book will appeal to a young audience with teenagers being the heroes fighting against a corrupt government.
Great read!
Could not get into the book. Found it boring.
Would been five stars if it had been followed up by another book continuing the saga.
I would highly recommend this series to anyone.
