I received an advanced copy of this book. This is the third book in the Witch Way series. In this one, Harper, must find her parents before they are killed! Her parents have gone to Australia to find a copper pyramid and scroll. They get kidnapped, and then no one can find them. Harper must find them and then solve the murders that then occur so that they can save her parents! This is a great addition to the series & I loved it!
Tick, tick, time is running out. When Harper’s parents fail to get on the plane to come home and no one can get a hold of them, Harper sets off to find them. Jenna, a journalist, Blake the mysterious lawyer, Gran, Harper and her familiar Archie board a jet to fly them to her parent’s last known location, the Australian Outback. As the fly across the world, they wonder what awaits them besides, the dry heat and strange creates that inhabit that part of the world. Will they find her mom and dad alive, do they have enough time to save them or are they too late?
This book has everything that makes a cozy paranormal mystery such a great read. It has magic, amazing character, unique setting, humour, danger, surprises and good mystery with all the twists and turns that keep you guessing to the end. There is a great deal of suspense and you feel how precious time is. The author weaves all the elements into a creative storyline that keeps the reader interested. This is a great series by a talented writer and if you love paranormal adventures then this series is for you. I highly recommend this book especially if this sounds like your genre.
This is the kind of book I look for when I need a break from more extreme reading.
This is light and fun with a bit of mystery to keep you on your toes.
The characters are engaging and add a nice level of humor to the story.
Now add in a shot of the paranormal and I’m all in.
Harper is more than meets the eye and it seems this witch has an interesting personal life as well.
Well, we get a glimpse of it in this story. With that said, I won’t be able to resist coming back to learn more and see what the next book reveals.
This was a fun, easy and entertaining read and I look forward to more story by this author
Dark Magic in Australia
This is a great addition to the series. The Harper and the group head off to Australia to find Harper’s parents. The plot is well executed and fascination. The reveal was quite surprising. This has been a fun and witchy series. I received this ARC book for free from the author and this is my honest review.
Despaired and afraid because her parents were missing, Harper Jones flew to Australia intended to discover their whereabouts. With the Fae lawyer, Gran and her journalist friend at her side, she knew she was not alone and had back up to pursue. But things got complicated, her feelings were not clear, a murderer was on the loose and there was an unexpected twist in the story. The witch had too much in her plate. Suspense, intrigue, amusing scenes, adventure and a mystery that had me with my eyes wide open following the action but with no idea of the outcome.
This is a light mystery with a little romance a little magic , a cat and a fiesty Grandmother. It’s an enjoyable read with a nice little tease leading into the next story. I recommend it
Harper and her friends are on another investigation along with her familiar Archie. Gran is still a hoot and this time they travel to Australia to find her missing parents. Plenty of twist and interesting plot with humor. Jackson is at home and Blake is along to help along with Jenna. Lots of surprises for Harper and a great story with some action for this witch. Loved the end! This was a great read. I am voluntarily reviewing an arc.
I really enjoyed how Harper and the gang traveled to Aussie to find her parents so we got to see them out of their comfort zone. There are plenty of suspects to choose from in Arrowstrand but not only that there is the mystery of is a copper pyramid somewhere in Flinders Ranges just like Harper’s parents believe. We get mystery, suspense, twists and some funny moments as we go along with Harper, Gran, Jenna and the others as they try and find her parents and deal with all that comes along with that!
I so enjoyed this latest installment in the Harper Jones series! Jane Hinchey does an amazing job creating charming characters who are easy to root for and fun to read.
In this story, Harper finds herself exploring a small town in Australia in search of her parents, who have gone missing during a cave expedition. Through some pretty savvy amateur detective work, and with the help of her quirky but oh-so-effective team, Harper attempts to locate her folks and solve two murder cases in the process.
Further complicating matters, her would-be love interest, the fae Blake, is behaving in some downright bizarre ways. Is Harper responsible for this sudden personality shift? She’ll have to involve her friends at Drixworths Academy of Witchcraft – who have just reinstated her witch’s license – to determine the answer to this question.
This story is engaging from beginning to end, and it hits all the right notes for a paranormal mystery. At the end I felt both satisfied with the conclusion to this story arc and curious for what future developments might be in store for Harper – particularly in the area of her love life.
If you enjoy cozy mysteries with a hint of witchcraft and whimsy, make Witch Way Down Under your next read!
This is the 1st book I’ve read in this series. It worked well as a standalone. Loved the characters and the mystery was really good. Very funny too! Am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Another hit for the series! A few twist you don’t see coming. Great characters and plot. Very well written. No graphic sexual content. A few deaths but only after the fact type. I would recommend this book and series for all ages.
Love this plot and characters. I volunteered to read an advance copy for an honest review.
Witch Way Down Under: A Witch Way Paranormal Cozy Mystery by Jane Hinchey is an amazing cozy mystery story that I loved reading. This is book number three in this amazing series and I highly recommend this to everyone who loves reading about paranormal muder mystery in their stories.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Gran is a hoot and probably the most unpredictable of the lot. Really enjoyed this book.
GOODNESS! When Harper’s parents go missing, it’s all she can do to stay calm! Gran, her best friend, Archie, her cat, and Blake fly to Australia to search for them when Blake hires a private plane. Once at the place where her parent’s camper was parked, she finds that it was ransacked. As the team searched for clues a man is murdered and then a woman. The stakes were high as she must find her parents without letting the Aussies in on her skills.
This book is an easy read. I read it as a stand alone book, but before I was very far into the story I was wishing I had read the first two. The story moved along and kept me guessing until the very end. I am a voracious reader and read this one straight through in one day. I would probably give the book 5 stars instead of 4 if I had read book one and two in the series. A little more background information would have made it better. That is my fault for not reading the books in order.
I enjoyed this book. Great characters. Surprise ending.
I’ve been reading books for 50 years, now, and sometimes the twists and turns can be figured out quite quickly. Not so in this story. You are kept intrigued every step of the way and find yourself saying, at the end, “Wow! I didn’t see that coming!” Great book! Loved every minute of it!
Harpers parents have gone missing in Australia. The police have no clue and she can’t reach her mom astrally.
This is an original, fast paced, sometimes funny, tear at your heart strings story. I highly recommend reading it and the rest of the series.
Good well paced mystery with some great characters, I especially liked Gran, with her larger than life personality. Harper doesn’t sit around whining when things go sideways, she moves forward taking care of business TCB BABY!
