OO!! Crazy, were is the sane part and can we get rid of the crazy? I don’t think that will be possible. I think that the crazy is the only thing holding the story together. I believe the crazy will be more crazy in the long run. Very well thought out story and I have enjoyed it very much. An excellent start to an story that is begging to be told. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
I powered through Witch Wars in half a day, barely putting it down around work and dinner. T.A. Moorman has woven a fantastic world of creatures. I was hooked with the prologue. I’ll give you a small taste of it to hook you, too.
When God created the Earth, He had some help along the way. While there is only one true God, there are many underling goddesses and gods to help Him. Let’s just think of God as the CEO. Just as God created man in His image, He allowed His goddesses and gods to create certain races in their images as well.
-Excerpted from Witch Wars
The twists and turns T.A. Moorman takes you on with Tia throughout the story helped bind me to her. Tia’s anger was my own. Her lust is catching. Her confusion, fear, saddness; it’s all presented to the reader in an excellent form.
Tia’s journey through her Coming of Age keeps revealing nuggest of seemingly unimportant information that all coalesce into some major plot points.
I feel as though the main villain seemed to come completely out of left field. And I was left wondering if the “supposed” baddie will be making an appearance later in the series.
The main thing I didn’t care for was the final conflict. It felt rushed. In some ways, I was reminded of the Harry Potter series. There were seven books of buildup, then the final battle was won with a single spell. Witch Wars had a similar conflict. It felt too easy for how much the villain had planned and prepared. I wish Witch Wars had been expended a chapter or two to spend more time with the final conflict and to better explain the resolution.
In the grand scheme of things, it’s not a major complaint. What matters is that I greatly enjoyed Witch Wars and am looking forward to diving into The Succubus, the Demon, and the Witch.
I suggest buying Witch Wars now, because The Succubus, the Demon, and the Witch (book 2) will be out on the 27th. That’s just 2 weeks!
This was my first T.A. Moorman book and all I can say is what took me so long!
I loved the characters, the trials and the smaller conflicts that lead to the larger Confglict in the end. Trials and loss heighten the reading experience and then there is nothing like reading descriptions of your hometown!
This was an interesting and intriguing world. I loved all the different supernatural creatures were featured. It was very fast paced, sexy, and lots of action. I cant wait to read the next.
I received this book from the author in exchange for my honest opinion. I couldn’t read this book fast enough. The beginning was kind of hard to digest because at that point we didn’t know what was going on until towards the end of the book. But it was beautifully revealed, even though I hated the guy that “hurt” our main character so deeply until I found out the truth then all was good! I cannot wait to dive into book two. T.A. Moorman is a goddess who knows how to build up a world that no one would ever think of creating and who also creates amazing characters who have personalities that are not only relatable to but it’s almost like you know these characters in real life because they remind you of friends or family members, even acquaintances. It was such a beautifully, detailed story and I have found a new favorite author in the process.
This book! OMG! I have no words! Just prepare yourself for the awesomeness that is this book! Prepare to meet Tialanna is fated to become the queen of the all the Underlayes witches. She is also betrothed to a man that she doesn’t even know due to a prophecy that was foretold. She’s in love with someone else but knows that it can never because things were set in motion before she was even born. What she doesn’t know is that her world is about to get a major shake-up, and she’s going to learn that quite a bit of her life…isn’t at all what she has been lead to believe.
Witch Wars is the first book that I have read by T.A. Morrman and this book is FANTASTIC! The author engages my interest from the beginning and doesn’t let go all the way through. The characters are amazing and layered in such amazing ways. You will want to despise certain ones, only to learn that there is more to the story. It’s so cool! I couldn’t get enough. The bit of backstory that the author gives us in the beginning truly sets the stage beautifully for this story. This ensured that I would want to keep reading without a shadow of a doubt. Tialanna is such an amazing character, I can’t get enough of her.
There honestly isn’t anything that I don’t like about this book. It’s an amazing story and I simply want more! The characters are well done, there are surprises, twists and so much more! You will honestly eat this book up and come back begging for more.
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. This is one of the best paranormal novels that I have read this year. We get a variety of characters, backgrounds, twists, surprises and steamy situations. If you don’t like good hot situations, don’t read this book. The author warns you more than once before and after picking this book up, so if you get it…don’t complain. They add to the story and are not just thrown in there for kicks. I cannot wait for the next book in this series. I’m really hoping for lots more to come!
I fell in love with Tia. She has come so far into her powers. That is until she goes off and comes across some vampires. One in particular takes a interest in her and she has no clue why. Only once she learns who her real father is does she learn that vampire is her fated mate. But she is also bound to a demon. Who can win her heart?
If you love all things paranormal, tben you will love Witch Wars! It had witches, weres and vampires. Packed with non stop action mixed with hot, steamy sex. A must read!
Witch Wars, Underlayes Book 1 by T. A. Moorman was hands down the best novel I’ve had the pleasure of reading for a while now! It may be in part that it’s my favorite genre, but there was so much more! The way the authors voice was strong yet spunky was fascinating to watch it play out. The main character, Tialanna, was so strong and distinguished because she was raised the Princess but she also had a humorous attitude. Her vocabulary was opposite of what you would consider royalty to have, which made her all the more enchanting. She is betrothed to another witch of high status, her family hoping to gain more power. Tia finds out she is not only a witch but vampire too. That is a sure death sentence but to top it off, she has a long lost twin sister. With demons, witches, vampires and werewolves at play in this first installment, the action, suspense and drama suck you in to the point of not putting the book down until you can no longer see. There are explicit sexual scenes in this book and a bit of a cliffhanger. I’m recommending this book to all paranormal romance fans, 18+. I cannot wait for the next installment to come out! I give this a 5-star rating.
