I’m a witch in love with a frog. And you thought you had problems.Hi, my name is Sammara Eve Hain and I don’t admit that to just anyone.Especially the witch part.If it were up to me, I would’ve been born into a nice, normal family. One that went camping on weekends and played board games and watched television. Not one that spent their Saturday nights cackling around a cauldron and turning people … nights cackling around a cauldron and turning people into frogs.
Okay, that’s an exaggeration. They don’t cackle.
But they’re definitely not normal. And the frog thing?
May I introduce my fiancé, Fernando? Mr. Short, Green, and Bewitched.
Courtesy of my sister.
All I ever wanted when I left my small town of Bigfoot Bay thirteen years ago was to disappear into the big city and lead an ordinary life.
I never expected to return.
And when I stumbled upon my childhood nemesis frozen solid inside a wall of ice, I never expected I’d be forced to stay.
With my betrothed frog at my side and no sister in sight.

This was a fun book about Eve who was a witch but did want to be and just live a normal human life. She gets a frantic call from her sister who lives as a witch and Eve makes the two hour drive to her sister’s place only to find what she was expecting was nothing of the kind. The rest of the book almost seems like a comedy of errors. I look forward to reading the next book whetted my appetite for more.
This is a new author for me. I thought this book was fun to read and I’m interested in reading more from this series.
Eve, Sammi, whatever she ends up being called, gets a frantic call from her sister to get over right away. In the background she hears her fiancé, Fernando, and things are not sounding good at all. After driving like a mad woman, back to Bigfoot Bay, a place she left 13 years earlier and swore she’d never return to, she can’t find her sister and Fernando, well, you’ll have to read the story.
I loved the magic that’s happening and how this town is just so unique. The way the town and Sammi’s old friends welcomed her back was really nice. There were some great laugh out loud parts and her phone was a trip. Again, read the book!

Fernando the Frog!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have never read anything by this author before, but I have to say, I liked the story. Samm, who goes by Eve now, returns home in a rush after receiving a very strange phone call from her sister. This is a place she thought she had left forever, turning her back on her witchy ways, to lead a normal life. When arriving in Bigfoot Bay she finds that her sister is missing and there is a frog in her apt. that she assumes is her new fiance, Fernando. There is a murder that needs solved, she has to find her sister so she can return Fernando to his human state and did I mention the ex-boyfriend, nope I didn’t, why because you will have to read the book to find out what exactly is going on in this town. I felt that some of Samm’s friends might have been a little witchy without Samm’s knowing. Mom never did show up, after saying she would. I also liked the phone phenomenon. I was given a copy from the author and am leaving an honest and unbiased review. Can’t wait for the second book, hoping it explains things left unexplained in this one.
I love this author and her sense of humor! So much fun in this book that I cackled (I hope I did not really cackle) throughout the book. I am looking forward to reading more about Samm/Eve and finding out what will happen next.

Witch on Ice#1 – This is my first read by this author and I enjoyed the book. I like the dry sense of humor used throughout the pages. While I don’t care about witches who deny their birthright, I like the interesting storylines although the book started a bit slow.
The good characters are well thought out with good personalities. I did not care for the ending since it left unanswered questions but this is a series. I had fun with the phone, which I consider an interesting character on its own.
I found this book on Booksprout 4*
Enjoyed the book until the end. Left the reader hanging with 3 unknowns not finished or resolved. Was very disappointed.
