This book was so good it literally gave me chills at times. Witch House was so haunting and exciting I couldn’t put it down. I like Ghost stories but Witch House was so much more then just the haunting tale. Witch House also showed us the value of friendship and love.
Witch house
There was times I was so creeped out by this book that I had to put it away and it in daylight, that’s how intensely it evoked emotion in me!! And even putting it down and picking it back up the next day after work, I was immediately immersed back into the world as if I never put it down!! Loved it!
This was a really great read that I enjoyed from the minute that I picked it up. The story is incredible, as soon as you start reading you are transported from your everyday life to another world. It moves along and transitions from scene to scene perfectly, has characters that are unique and will grab you. You want to know more about them and you want to know how they will overcome everything in their way.
This needs to be read, you will not be sorry that you did.

I really enjoyed this short novel, but it really needed more background for its characters and for the history of the Witch House itself. The author was spot-on in her relationships between YA, and I thought she totally nailed it in her descriptions of their misunderstandings and miscommunications. Many of her paranormal scenes were very well written and kept you reading to find out what was going to happen, but again, a bit more history or background would have added so much to this novel. Why was Skylar’s sister so attracted to the house (just the one dare that night??? or was she interested at other times?) and what happened during the many years while Ellery’s grandmother lived there?
I’d be interested in reading a continuation to this series, though i know the novel concluded saying the Witch House was gone. Maybe just the back portion was gone . . . . and the ghosts.
Her dad and her have no choice. After her mom dies of cancer, her dad loses his job because he took a day off to burry his wife. Now their only choice is grandmother’s creepy old house in some hick town. Ellery begins to have strange experiences, really scary ones. Skylar has lived across the street from the Witch House his whole life and grew up with the rumours that it is haunted. He could of lived the rest of his life never setting foot in it, but he does for Ellery, the coolest girl he has ever met. Can they stop the haunting?
This is a good haunting story targeted at young adults but can be enjoyed by everyone. The characters are young, interesting and unsure of themselves. They are thrown into an unbelievable situation that requires them to set up and find their inner strength. The haunting is great and there are lots of creepy situations. The ghosts are both good and evil, just as people are. I enjoyed how the characters interplay between each other and how they overcame their fears. The book is easy to read and flows nicely. Overall, I would say this is a good horror story.

Ellery and her father moved into their grandmother’s creepy old house and it doesn’t take long for her to discover that the rumours in town about the old place aren’t wrong!
As she becomes closer to her neighbour, they try to discover what is haunting the house and why it wants her ~ before it’s to late!
I thought it was a tiny bit predictable, and I felt the ending was a bit to rushed for my liking, but overall I loved the suspense and the detailed description of the events and characters. A great quick and easy read!
I really enjoyed this story! I’d love another book with more history and backstory to the house. The story moved at a good pace. The characters grow nicely as the story went along.
Intense Story!
The Witch House was an amazing, fast paced, intense story that will definitely keep you entertained and on the edge of your seat. The characters were likeable and well written. There are plenty of spooky nail biting moments with little twists and turns throughout. The story was definitely suspenseful and thrilling. I loved every bit of it.
I loved this story about a haunted house. It reminded me of when I was in high school and all the talk about the haunted house in our block. I loved that this story had a strong female character. I look forward to reading more from this author. The writing sucks you in to the story and keeps you wanting to know more.

True to Mary Dean’s style of writing the Witch House does draw you totally in and keeps you turning turning the page. It took me about 3.5 hours to read this wonderful novel because you are totally captivated and wonder what will happen next.
This novel has wonderful characters three teenagers and a dad and the boy next door’s mom. It is a paranormal book and it is not only great for adult readers it is wonderful for young teenagers alike.
It is a wonderful book to bond with your teenage readers and for book discussions.
I totally loved how well the book was written and giving the reader a great background and totally captivates you and makes you lose track of time as you are reading.

I finished this in one sitting. The story is about a girl that has to move into the house that used to belong to her grandmother. Everyone thought her granny was a witch from a long line of witches. Strange things start happening in the house and the kid across the street seems to know more about what is going on and doesn’t want to tell her. Entertaining story with a few surprises.

This book was super cool. I’m excited I got to read another book by Mary Dean. Her and Stephanie Nichole are very good together. The plot was fun, exciting and easy to follow. I loved the creep factor in this book, so much fun to step out of my normal romance genre. Ellery is a strong young girl with more strength that she knows in the end. Ellery, Skylar and Donnie along with some spooky help take on the witch house. You’ll have to read it to find out more. It’s a fast and easy read that will keep you entertained. Loved the ending, reminded me of Supernatural a bit.
Ellery and her dad move into her late grandmothers house which the town has rumored the name of Witch House. They only hope it’s not true but soon find out something is wrong with it. Skyler lives across the street and befriends Ellery. I enjoy reading this. I received an ARC of this and volunteered to review it.
