“I just found a new favorite author! Wishing For a Highlander is a gem.”-Goodreads reader“I enjoyed the bloody hell out of it.” -Amazon reviewerBe careful what you wish for…Single-and-pregnant museum worker Melanie voices an idle wish while examining a Scottish artifact, that a Highland warrior would sweep her off her feet and help her forget her cheating ex. The last thing she expects is for … cheating ex. The last thing she expects is for her wish to be granted. Magically transported to the middle of a clan skirmish in the sixteenth-century Highlands, she comes face to face with her kilted fantasy man.
Tall, handsome, and heir to his uncle’s lairdship, Darcy Keith should be the most eligible bachelor in Ackergill. Instead, thanks to a prank played on him in his teenage years, he is known for being too large under his kilt to ever make a proper husband. “Big Darcy” runs his deceased father’s windmills and lives alone at his family manor, believing he will never marry.
But a strangely-dressed woman he rescues from a clan skirmish makes him long for more. When the woman’s claims of coming to Ackergill by magic reach the laird’s ears, she is accused of witchcraft. Darcy determines to protect her any way he can, even if it means binding her to him forever.

I don’t delve into historical romance as much as other sub-genres (e.g. paranormal), but this one blew me away!
I adore unconventional heroes and heroines, and you can’t get much more unconventional than a pregnant heroine – as in pregnant by another man when she meets her hero, who happens to be a hotter-than-July Scottish warrior from another …
One of my favorite books of all time. One of my favorite series of all time AND a new one will be here soon!!!!
Time travel story ,where the transport thru time key was a rosewood box( that did not open). the H & h was believable they both had self worth issue. The story flowed, there was just no big wow in it. I will check out the next book . Good
Good, quick read.
I had never read a Highlander type book. It was good, with a little twist in it.
I really enjoy the time travel romances. Truly liked the characters in this one and it was a fun read.
Oh, Melanie and Darcy – how I love you. And how I love time travel romances where the heroine ends up in Scotland. Jessi Gage has such a way with words and is a fantastic storyteller. I envy you. You get to read this for the first time.
I really enjoyed the book. I look for books be this author because I enjoy her writing and story telling.
A good book for a long weekend. I really enjoyed this one
I liked it.
Wishing for a Highlander was uplifting and steamy at the same time! A heart warming and beautifully written book, A must read !
I really enjoyed this book.
This book was a little different from the usual Highlander book. The author spun the time traveling well with the romance. Will definitely read more of her books.
Good story but the ending was rather abrupt.
Fun time travel story
For some reason, I never could get into this book.
Not badly written but a total rip off of Outlander. I counted 17 characters or plot events which were exactly copied from Outlander. It’s like some weird fan fiction where the writer gets to experience her own version of the adventure.
This is a time-travel romance set in the 1500’s, Melanie a pregnant single mother finds herself unexpectedly transported by an antique Rosewood box to the Scottish Highlands.
Here she is rescued by Darcy Keith but when accusations of witchcraft are thrown Melanie’s way Darcy vows to protect her even if that means going against his own clan.
I did …
I’m reviewing the audiobook. I bought it when Audible had a 2 for 1 sale. It’s a little over the top and maybe a tad unbelievable. I don’t usually have a problem with either of those things but this was just a little too disjointed.
It was going along at a nice clip. Then the car appeared…nope. Done.
