Wishful is a southern romance series written for anyone looking for love in a small town. If you loved Hart of Dixie and miss the residents of Bluebell, you just might fall in love with Wishful. It’s a town where everybody knows your name and hope springs eternal! This volume contains Books 1-3TO GET ME TO YOU (Book 1)A David vs. Goliath story with a side of sweet tea.Wishful, MS is Cam’s … 1)
A David vs. Goliath story with a side of sweet tea.
Wishful, MS is Cam’s hometown. He’s not sure a city girl like Norah can understand the place well enough to help him save it from the corporate big-box store threatening to set up shop. She’s determined, though. She’s falling hard for the charms of town–and the man. But even if they send the suits packing, can she really give up her corner office for a corner booth a the local diner?
KNOW ME WELL (Book 2)
Heroes need not apply
Riley Gower is no stranger to hard work. She’s queen of Doing All The Things—solo. And that’s exactly how she likes it. She’s not holding out for a hero. When disaster strikes her business, former Marine Liam Montgomery jumps in to help–whether she likes it or not. Will they be able to work through their complicated past to save the pharmacy before she’s forced to close its doors forever?
BE CAREFUL, IT’S MY HEART (Book 3)
The best things happen while you’re acting…
The historic Madrigal theater, in the heart of downtown Wishful, is about to close its doors forever. A last ditch fund-raising effort, a production of White Christmas, is probably the only thing that could bring Tyler Edison back to the stage after all these years. Little does she know that the leading man who broke her heart just blew back into town. Auditions start at six o’clock.

Great stories of life in a small town. The characters are humorous, but not outlandish so. The romances are realistic.
Sexy small-town romance with a big hit of suspense and lots of delicious steamy bits. If only Wishful were a real place, I could happily go and live there, because I feel like I know the residents and have taken them to my heart. Well written, easy to read, smart and sexy, these first three books are a great start to the series.
This boxset was my first introduction to this author, and I really enjoyed reading these books. The characters in the stories reel you in, and keep you interested. I can’t wait for more from the beautiful town of Wishful.
I simply love reading Kait Nolan. Her characters are real and draw you into their lives and their small towns with a web you never want to escape. If you’re looking for small town romance, then you’ve come to the right place.
Kait Nolan is my go to for sexy small town romance. Her writing is always a nice mix of fairly low angst, community charm, and a little bit of steam. This box set of 3 books for one credit is a terrific deal!
To Get Me To You kicks off the Wishful series, and while the sheer number of people introduced was a little overwhelming at first I definitely got to know all the family & residents and find myself looking forward to all their stories. Cam is cousin to Norah’s BFF and sparks immediately fly between the two. Norah uses her marketing skills to help save the charming town from probable devastation wrought by a big box store. I felt like the technical aspects & mundane meetings disrupted the flow of the story at times, but overall I enjoyed the book. I grew up in a small town in the South and could see so many familiar people and business in the town of Wishful.
Know Me Well is also a mashup of some of my favorite tropes including former military and Best Friend’s Brother/Sister’s Best Friend. Liam is now out of the Marines and back in Wishful trying to find his “new normal” in life as a civilian. Riley is self-reliant to a fault and nursing a 12 year crush on Liam. I love that we get to enjoy Liam & Riley as a couple for a big part of the story – including his need to care & protect at odds with her desire to remain independent. There are a LOT of laughs in this one, a few tears, and definitely an HEA.
Be Careful, It’s My Heart didn’t work for me as well as the other stories in the series and I’m pretty sure it’s because I have never seen White Christmas – in either its play or movie form. Since the bulk of the story revolves around the production of the play for the town of Wishful and there were a lot of references to the storyline of White Christmas, I wasn’t able to connect with it as fully as I think I would have.
That said, it’s still a cute second-chance romance. A big misunderstanding sent Brody & Tyler on separate paths years ago and a lack of communication threatens to keep them from working things out this time. Queue the positively-meddling folks of Wishful and their joined forces to save an aging theatre while simultaneously keeping Brody & Tyler from making the same mistakes.
Wishful’s quirky residents continue to remind me of the small Southern town I grew up in. I’ve already purchased Volume 2 & 3 and I’m looking forward to all their stories.
Amy McFadden does a great job of giving a unique voice to this huge cast of characters. Her voice and tone for “old Southern grandma” was especially spot on and caused me to giggle because I’m pretty sure I went to church with Mamie when I was growing up. What I love is that she’s consistent how she voices them through the series which makes these audios completely bingeable. I don’t know if McFadden color codes these folks or what, but if she does it’s definitely an impressive rainbow of voices she has in her repertoire.
I rarely buy books. But I bought this WHOLE series! That’s how good it is.
Wow three books in one – what a great way to be introduced to the town of Wishful. Kati Nolan does not disappoint. You are introduced to six people in her latest masterpiece- Tara and Jace, Trey and Sandra and Mary Ann and Chad. Can the ballerina find love and happiness is a small town? What about a great doctor? Is the mayor hiding secrets? What is a billionaire doing in this town? For a great read / get this book you won’t be disappointed!!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I loved all three books!
I have been provided with a copy of Wishful Romance Volume 1 by the author for an impartial review. This volume includes To Get Me to You, Be Careful, It’s My Heart, and Know Me Well.
To Get Me to You
This is the first full novel in the Wishful Romance series and I absolutely loved getting to Norah and Cam find their way to each other. This book just had my emotions all over the place and it had me on the edge of my seat to see what would happen next. I can’t to read more by this author.
Be Careful, It’s My Heart
This is the second novel in the Wishful Romance series and you get to see Tyler Edison and Brody Jensen find their way back to each other. This book was such a quick and easy read it just had me in its grip. I truly fell in love with these characters and I felt for them. I can’t wait to read more by this author.
Know Me Well
This is the third novel in the Wishful Romance series. This book had a little bit of everything in this story. It was a beautiful story that had romance, drama, sadness, some disasters, and ultimately it ended with a happy ending. I loved Liam and Riley they just brought me into their lives and I totally fell in love with them as human beings as well as how good they are together. This book was really easy to get wrapped up in. It was a light read that just had the right amount of everything. I recommend to anyone that would like a great book to read to pick up this one you won’t be sorry.
You can’t help but fall in love with Wishful and their people. While trying to rekindle the small town they will find love, hope, friendship, and family again. A sweet box set.

Wishful Romance Volume 1 is the box set for the first 3 books in the Wishful series by Kait Nolan and if you like sweet, southern hometowns, people who surround family and friends who are down on their luck than you will love this series! !
This volume lights up your heart and makes you want to move to and become part of Wishful, Mississippi. As the reader, you not only fall in love with the citizens and community love but also the magic of the town.
Kait Nolan is now one of my favorite writers. The Wishful stories were all great!
Enjoyable
This is a beautiful, tearful grouping of stories that show you that anything can happen to make you stronger and happy at the same time.
Loved the visit. Wish I could stay longer!
I received the first book for free via BookBub. I enjoyed it so much that i purchased the rest of the series as well as another series written by Kait Nolan. It is fun, romantic and has a little bit of trouble thrown in for good measure.
I’m not sure if this is the set of books 1-3 or just book one. They are stand alone reads with HEA. All three books are good. 5 stars to me. If this is just book one, Know Me Well. I will review that one.
The heroine in the story is in love with her best friend’s brother. She is 15 to his 19. He never sees her as anything but his sister’s friend. She is way too young for him to be interested. After graduation he joins the Marines. She goes on to college and returns home to buy the local pharmacy. She has a crazy mother that keeps her tied to the town and the forever caregiver.
He returns from the Marines with a few issues of his own but for the first time he sees her as a beautiful young woman and this is their story. i really enjoyed it, thought it was good and definitely recommend it.
Wonderful realistic view of small town life.
