Juliette is a good witch. Really. Her name is literally Juliette Good. Apologies for the redundancy. Good witch or not, she often ends up in the wrong place at the wrong time. Returning home to Charm Cove, Maine after the holidays, she makes a nostalgic wish in the town’s fountain. As unfortunate luck would have it, seconds later the town’s ancient beloved balsam tree catches fire and is burned to … fire and is burned to a crisp. By virtue of being a witness, Juliette is also a suspect.
Suddenly, wishes cast by random strangers in the fountain are granted almost instantly if Juliette happens to be nearby. In the less magical realm, residents of Charm Cove are up in arms over winter road maintenance and a few too many fender benders during the icy winter.
Meanwhile, the only other person known to be present when the ancient balsam tree caught fire is Donovan Wick—a warlock who’s just moved back to town. He’s handsome and charming, and Juliette just might be falling for him.
There’s not much time for romance when the witches and warlocks of Charm Cove are chasing down whoever cast the spell that harmed the tree, and the entire town is disgruntled over the state of the roads. The mundane and magical are all tangled together.
Take a visit to Charm Cove, where Wicked meets Good and where you just might find there’s almost always more than meets the eye.

Wish Upon A Witch by Lucy May is an awesome story that I have read. This is book number one in this awesome story that I have fallen in love with and can not wait to read book number two. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about cozy mysteries and paranormal romances.

Julie Good, (yes that family for those who have read it), moves back home and stops to visit the tree. It goes up in flames and she meets Donovan. They could be accused since they were there. NICE WAY TO MEET A MAN? lol
As you guessed, they have to figure out what is going on, be careful of the magic because of those who are unaware of it, and what to do about thing feeling. The members from the original series show up and help out.
Read this book. it is a fast easy to read, clean cozy mystery. You can follow along even if you are not acquainted with the other books. Author has always done a wonderful job of giving you enough info so not lost but intrigued to read what you have missed. For me they are like footnotes to remember since I have read them.
So go ahead, get your beverage of choice and snack , find cozy reading spot and ENJOY!!!!
This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
My apologies for lateness of review.

A New Spin-Off Series
I always pick any book by this author that becomes available at my favorite book review site because I enjoy this author’s style of cozy paranormal mystery. When I opened this book and started reading, I was taken right back into the familiar setting of Charm Cove, Maine. I’m so familiar with that wacky and interesting town that I didn’t even realize that this is actually a spin-off of the previous series and not just the next installment of it. How fun to have a spin-off!
This is one of the author’s more gentle books. There is no murder in this book. Instead, we have a magical mystery to solve. The author writes that kind of novella as well. Previously, I had enjoyed Oopsy Daisy, which is as light and fluffy as a mystery can get; this one reminded me of. Yes, strange magic is afoot, as is romance. As always with a Charm Cove book, I enjoyed this particular visit, and I look forward to seeing how things evolve in this spin-off that looks like it will be based on Juliette Good and Donovan Wick, this book’s hero and heroine. If you enjoy paranormal cozy mysteries with a touch of romance and a bit of whimsy, you might not only enjoy this book, but the Wicked Good series that preceded it.
I received a free copy of this book but that did not affect my review.
Wish Upon A Witch is the first book in This Good Witch Mystery Series and ties into the Wicked Good Mystery series. Juliette Good is Liam’s younger sister and has come back to Charm Cove after college. I loved getting to visit all the quirky characters in Charm Cove and getting a new mystery at the same time. Great writing, fun characters and an intriguing mystery make this a great read.
Whoo hoo Liam and Moira’s story may be complete but that does not mean the stories of the Goods, Wickeds (or Wicks in this case) are over!
This is a great quick story introducing us to both Juliette Good and Donovan Wick and reminding us of all the shenanigans in Charm Cove, Juliette ans Donovan have moved back (not together) but as Juliette makes a wish in the wishing well (yes Charm Cove lovers THAT wishing well) the beloved Balsam tree in the centre of town bursts into flames,
I enjoyed this book it was over very quickly but I hope as we go on we will see more of the other characters in Charm Cove and the oldies like Opal and Lea and Moira and Liam etc
Highly Recommended

Wish Upon a Witch by Lucy May is another great cozy mystery from Charming Cove. Ms. May, weaves together multiple plots smoothly, moving from light suspense to laughter of the antics of the loveable, eccentric witchy citizens of Charming Cove. You can expect anything and everthing to involve a Wicked or a Good.
Liam”s sister, Juliette Good, has returned home after finishing her education. Stopping at The Green, she tosses a coin in to the town’s fountain and wishes to meet a man that’s not a jerk. As she wondering about the strange glow from her tossed coin, a man seems to magically appear calling her name and introduces himself as Donovan Wick. As they stand there talking, the town’s prized 300-hundred year old tree goes up in flames. Did her wish cause that? Not long after she notices non-magicals having their wishes granted. Someting must be wrong.
Get ready for another entertaining visit to Charm Cove. Five stars for keeping me thoroughly entertained.

Loved it. Easy to follow. Characters are good. Fast read
Juliette Good, Liam Good’s younger sister, has returned to Charm Cove, Maine, after college. She stopped at the park, beautifully decorated for the holidays, to throw a penny into the wishing well, wishing for a man in her life. The good part is that Donovan Wick, a warlock who also moved back to town, was standing behind her. They started talking to each other. But then something horrible occurred! The ancient Balsam tree that was extremely important to the witch and warlock community caught on fire. With Juliette and Donovan being right there, they naturally became the prime suspects for having set the tree on fire! Will they find the true culprit who cast the spell? Will they discover why this was done? And why are wishes made by random strangers at the fountain being granted almost instantly if Juliette happens to be nearby?
This is a wonderful story you won’t want to miss. This is certainly one busy little town where something is always happening. Grab your copy and see if you can figure out what might be going on this time?
Juliette Good returned to her hometown Charm Cove Maine when things went crazy all of a sudden. As usual it happened only when she was around.
She decided to stop in the towns park because it was all lit up for the holidays. As she was about to pass the towns famous wishing well, she decided to through a penny and make a wish. She wished for a man to be in her life.
When she turned around, there was Donovan Wick, a warlock that had just moved back to town. He inherited his home after his grandparents passed away. As they were catching up, a strange thing had happened right before their eyes.
The Balsam tree that stood very tall and was very old, had caught of fire. This was a magic tree for the witches and warlocks in the town. Someone had caught it on fire and Juliette was a suspect.
Will they find out who did this and let Juliette off the hook or will she go down with the tree?

New Witches and Electrical Storms
This is a fun episode in the Good and Wicked Witch Saga. Juliette moves back to Charm Cove and all sorts of things start popping. This episode is as much fun as the prior episodes. This is a cozy mystery but has an unexpected bit of bad language. More PG-rated than anything, but still surprising. I love this series and can’t wait for each episode.
I received this ARC book for free from Booksprouts and this is my honest review.
Charm Cove is a small town, mostly inhabited by witches and warlocks. Juliette Good, belonging to one of the main witching families, returns to Charm Cove after finishing university and when she is wishing for something at the wishing well, it becomes reality, but at the same time the Balsam Tree, almost a symbol of the town, catches fire. Trying to figure out what happened and what is the problem with road maintenance that year is part of the story and the cozy mystery for this book. On the side Juliette is falling in love….
Fun, quirky and a wonderfully gentle cozy, like most of the stories of Charm Cove.

Spend a family-friendly afternoon in Charm Cove, Maine to see what happens when Juliette Good moves back home in January.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Charm Cove had received a rash of national news media attention in the wake of a magical feud gone awry. Too much snow is one thing. Showers of daisies quite another – especially since a few attempted counter spells were also not fine tuned correctly
Juliette is a younger sister to Liam Good who just finished her graduate degree in accounting. Shortly before leaving Boston she was spotted using a bit of magic trying to repair a streetlight. Her one time crush made it clear that magic users were not as welcome everywhere as they might be in her home town.
A trip to the wishing fountain in the town square yields some surprises- not all as pleasant as a trip to the maple candy store.
Echoes of problems past and hope for a new romance bubble up.
There’s always something brewing in Charm Cove!
Fun KU read!
I received an advance copy from Booksprout. I have read most of the books in this series and others from this author on Kindle and Kindle Unlimited
WISH UPON A WITCH is the first book in the This Good Witch Mystery series. I believe it will be best if the books are read in the order of release in the series.
This is the first book I have read from Lucy May. After I finished reading, I discovered that this series is a spin-off of the Wicked Good Mystery Series. Where Wicked Good had an over-arcing storyline regarding the relationship between Liam and Moira, This Good Witch Mystery Series is going to be about Juliette and Donovan. You do not need to have read the previous books to enjoy this one, but I now have them on my wish list.
Every cozy mystery series eventually has the hero and/or heroine accused of the crime. I like that that was taken care of (and dismissed) within the first few chapters.
Sweet romance and a cozy mystery all wrapped together in one wonderfully spell-binding story. This was wonderful!
I love the unique powers of the witches and the fun storyline. I’m looking forward to more from this series.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted ARC via Booksprout, my opinions are my own and are given freely.
Title: WISH UPON A WITCH
Series: This Good Witch Mystery #1
Category /Genre: Paranormal Cozy Mystery
Recommended for: 14+ due to vocabulary

Juliette Good decided to come home after living away from home due to school. She decides to visit the fountain to place a wish. When she does, something strange happens. When she is walking to her car, she runs into someone she hasn’t seen in years. Juliette is surprised to see Donovan Wick in front of her.
His presence cases her to have different feelings, she is surprised. Then all of a sudden, the ancient tree catches fire. They are the only two people out there.
Juliette and Donovan will get closer as they try to figure out how the tree caught fire, the problem with the streets and why is Juliette being targeted.
This series gets better with every book, now we are being introduced to Juliette and see how her story unfolds. Can’t wait to see what is next for Juliette and Donovan.

When witch Juliette Good is moving back home to Charm Cove, she stops in town to make a wish in the town fountain. Her wish comes true when she meets Donovan Wick, a handsome warlock also moving back into town. They witness the town’s beloved tree set afire. Both suspects, can they find out who is really behind the fire? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wish Upon a Witch #1 (or #8 since all of the Wicked Good are included) – The story still takes place in Charm Cove with the Wickeds and the Goods, but not instead of Moira and Liam, the main players are Juliette and Donovan. All the characters are there sharing the spotlight as always. This story is sort of a Christmas feel good story. Yes, there’s a villain but no murders and a magical mystery to solve. A little slow in the beginning but all the storylines lines merge well in this story and there is a good ending. J and D are a perfect addition to a good series. I found this book on Booksprout. 4*
Wicked Good Series:
Destiny’s A Witch #1 – I like this book better than Witch You Wouldn’t Believe and Witch is When it Gets Crazy. The witches and warlocks are likable and their dialog realistic. I’m happy to see a male is called a warlock instead of witch (PC is so stupid with the sexes). Well written, clean but with sexual attraction makes this story entertaining. Add mischievous teenage witches, nosy friends and family on top of family pressure to do the Destiny thing, while determining if a death was an accident or a murder, leaves the main characters in all types of states. Never mind if there’s a second chance for them or it is Destiny, there’s a lot of happenings. Pretty good story without the usual stupid drama found in a lot of this genre. 4*
Hex Me Not #2 – Another interesting book in the Wicked Good Mystery Series. The witches and warlocks are still likable, interesting and entertaining. The background storylines continue while the main mystery keeps the reader immersed in the quickly read, well thought plot. The story moves along a steady moving pace, is clean and without the usual stupid drama found in a lot of books of this genre. 4*
Spells and Silver Bells #3 – Another good addition to the Wicked Good Mystery series! I found this book more intriguing and suspenseful than its predecessors. The characters are interesting and likable, and the regulars steady grow along with the stories. The storylines, original and new, are interesting and intelligent. This book is a bit more substantial and took a bit longer to figure out the villains, but I did miss the main reason, which was…. These books can be read out of sequence, but the storylines are build from the first book on, although all are standalones, no cliffhangers. 4*
The Great Maple Caper #4 – Pretty good mystery and plenty of “when is the wedding”. The storylines contain a few kinks and an addition of a rather nice character (my favorite over many). The twins are still being themselves and trying to help investigate as well as solve a puzzle. All the characters are performing their duties while the ladies keep asking “when is the wedding?”, driving Moira nuts. I like the sexual tension that’s between Moira and Liam; it’s not about body parts and hot this and hot that, but what is felt. The reader knows the power of their love without the trash aspect and inyourfacecontinuously. More of the powers of the witch families are revealed while trying to solve the mystery. The pace is fast and the descriptions keep the reader immersed in the story. There’s humor and a good dose of suspense, rather well done. 4*
Oopsy Daisy #5 – Entertaining and intriguing and filled with pretty flowers, OK may be too many pretty flowers. Fast paced with plenty of humor and intrigue, along with more questions about the wedding, this was a quickly read book. The characters are good and believable and the mystery they work together on is kinda funny. It is hard to write a review on this series without turning it into a book report. Try to read them sequentially, but standalone works well, too. There are only a couple of series that I really enjoy about witches and this is one of them. 4*
Siren Song Gone Wrong #6 – This story follows a different track since there are no murders in this mystery, which was interesting and made for an enjoyable read. Not going to talk about the wedding plans, you will have to find out for yourself. The author does her usual good job with her writing style and good descriptions and interesting characters. While not necessary, it is worth reading the complete series from the first book.4*
Pumpkin Patch Murder #7 – This quickly read murder mystery is a good addition to this series. It takes place about two months after M&L married. As always the author blend the old and new storylines into an interesting read, while the characters entertain the reader with their lives, oh and solving the murder. There is definitely a good bit of romance in air. 4*
Wicked Good Series end.
