Bryce Masters had everything he needed…or so he thought. His six-year-old daughter, Anna, would disagree. They were going home, moving back to Jingle Junction where Bryce would take over the local bookstore just in time for Christmas. Losing his wife, Molly, during the birth of their daughter six years ago was tragic, but Bryce has no idea just how much it weighs on young Anna’s heart until she … she confesses her deepest wish. What Anna wants for Christmas is a mother, but Bryce’s heart is not ready to love again. Only God can give Bryce the desire to make Anna’s wish come true. Only He can heal the hurt and open Bryce’s heart to the power of love. But Bryce will have to be willing to listen. And when the perfect woman reveals a secret that could devastate them all, will Bryce be able to look beyond what was and accept what might be?

I could read Christmas stories year round and never tire of them. This is a short story but it sure has a powerful message. Bryce and his daughter have been on their own for six years. They suffered a great loss which has affected Bryce in many ways. I liked how he always tried to make his daughter happy. Her Christmas wish this year is something he isn’t sure he can make happen though.
I adored the name of the town Bryce moved back to. Jingle Junction is a perfect name for a small town. I could already see the decorations pop up on every store and knew it was the perfect place for Bryce to raise his daughter. Anna is a delightful little girl who brings joy to everyone. Her energy is contagious and I was excited for her as she embraces her new home.
The story is filled with happiness and hope. Bryce will need to face his past in order to move forward. Can he let go of grief and allow someone to capture his heart again? Don’t miss this story that teaches us to trust God and follow His direction.

Oh this story was SO sweet!! The perfect little story to get you into the Christmas spirit. I mean as a book nerd how can you not love a story where the main character is a bookstore owner? The setting is magnificent. I completely fell in love with the town of Jingle Junction! Definitely gave me Hallmark Christmas movie vibes.
In this story we meet Bryce and Anna. Anna who is a six year old wishes on a star for a new mommy for Christmas. Bryce doesn’t necessarily want to get remarried after losing his wife during birth but lets Anna know that they will put it in God’s hands. In the move to Jingle Junction he reconnects with some high school friends and although not a close friend during high school he reconnects with Rachel.
The love story between Rachel and Bryce is so sweet and romantic. You will definitely fall in love with them but being that this is a novella it is short and I wish their story could have developed a little bit more. Overall this story is lovely. This was my first by this author but I am definitely checking her other stories out. I hope she makes it back to Jingle Junction because I would love to go back! I also love that she maintains Christianity throughout the entire story. Thoroughly enjoy it and recommend it!

What a sweet, feel good Christmas novella this read turned out to be. At just a hundred pages it does pack a fully fleshed out story of a little girl who wants a mommy for Christmas and a wife for her daddy. Anna believes in the Christmas spirit so much, that she wishes on her star for a mommy for Christmas. Her father has tried to talk to her about this, but seeing how important this is for her, he promises to keep his heart open.
Little does he know how powerful his daughter’s prayer is and how willing he is to open his heart again to love. I really enjoyed this story and it is a perfect treat for the Christmas season. I also liked how the author keeps the special one a mystery for awhile.

I love the Christmas element with the innocence and exuberance of the six-year-old Anna. Jingle Junction—who wouldn’t want to go there! Add a bookstore and the setting is perfect, a place I’d want to hibernate. I can smell the pages and see the shelves. I could almost exist in that scenario without a plot!
But there is a marvelous plot. It is the perfect taste of Christmas where wishes and dreams collide with everyday decisions and options. The newness of Christmas each year provides hopes for the six-year olds or the seasoned adults. The opportunity to hope for change, for a chance to do or be something or someone different. Most of the fun of the wishing star is the journey, one of tears and laughter. You know the one I mean—life. And what better way to seek affirmation of begin alive than at Christmas amidst the lights and the stars.
Christmas came early this year. What a great read.
Wish Upon A Star is the story of a man raising a daughter alone and wanting to grant her her every wish. Until her Christmas wish is a mother. He’s not ready to grant her that yet as he is still working through his loss and raising her plus providing for them just takes all of his time and effort. But what if he doesn’t get a say in the matter.
Bryce moves Anna back to his home town of Jingle Junction. A little town where it’s really Christmas all the time because the town says it is! Community is the most important thing and helping each other is just a way of life. Bryce and his late wife planned to raise Anna here so when he gets the chance to move back he jumps on it.
He just didn’t plan on Anna’s wish and what that would bring into his life.
This is a fun book. It reads quickly. There are no real surprises or anything but I still had to keep reading. It’s a classic Hallmark movie in book form and I loved it. Even if I wasn’t ready for Christmas reads yet. I highly recommend you grab a copy and give it a read now!

This is a delightful story that has an adorable little girl and a father who would do anything for her, except…grant her the one thing that she wants for Christmas. Bryce Masters has already loved and lost the love of his life, and as much as he adores his daughter Anna, he cannot give her a mother for Christmas!
‘Short and sweet’ perfectly describes this novella and everything in it shouts Christmas. A town called Jingle Junction, thousands of lights to brighten the landscape, a huge tree in the center of town that is the focal point during the season, sleigh rides, ice skating, and a gingerbread competition! But most of all, a little girl’s wish that seems impossible unless a miracle can happen!
“How do you even fall in love with someone in one week? Only with God’s help, that’s how.”
Author Tabitha Bouldin completely Bryce’s anguish and confusion . How can he help Anna’s wish come true when his heart can’t love again? If you enjoy Christmas stories filled with hope, faith, and the message of Christmas, you will want to read Wish Upon a Star.

Short but heartwarming!
Little Anna’s faith in this book was astounding!
I loved how Rachel came alive anytime she was with Bryce! Their short love story was one of God guiding the steps of his children into His perfect will for them. Rachel and Bryce both had fears but it was so admirable the way they took their fears to God in prayers.
Beautiful Christmas story.

Wish Upon a Star is my first introduction to the talents of Tabitha Bouldin. It will definitely not be the last. I adored this Holiday novella. With under one hundred pages, it was short and quick to read. I loved meeting Anna and Bryce. Anna is one of those characters that you could not help but to fall in love with this sweet girl. I understood the struggles of Bryce’s heart. I thought this story was inspiring and perfect reminder what Christmas was about and to always have faith.
I am giving Wish Upon a Star four and a half stars. I look forward to reading by Tabitha Bouldin in the future. I recommend this one for readers who love to read a quick, clean, entertaining, easy and fun Christmas time read.
