From New York Times bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes a sexy standalone Billionaire Romance. My ex was a con artist who left my life in shambles. But am I going to let that break me? No.I’ve got a plan. It’s a long shot, but with some hard work, I’ll pull my life back together.Only, just as I’m in the thick of it, I find an unusual bottle with a note inside: “You get one wish. Make it count.”… inside: “You get one wish. Make it count.”
Har har. Someone’s idea of a joke?
Apparently not.
And nothing could prepare me for the screamin’ hot man with piercing blue eyes who shows up at my door. He says the note is his and he wants to give me true happiness. Money is no object. A wish granted from a billionaire.
Uh, is he for real? And why me?
I should slam the door in his sex-god face, because this guy has trouble written all over him. But the more time I spend with the demanding, arrogant man, the deeper I get into a twisted history that pulls at my heart.
Suddenly I do have a wish… Him.

She’s done it again! Ms. Pamfiloff is one of those authors that you 1-click without reading the synopsis because you KNOW it’s worth it! Meeting Ginnie and Mr. Wish was amazing- learning backstories and getting to know the characters, how they think. . . I want to read this again!
This is really a good and funny romance with a touch of dark events, i loved it and had to read it in one sitting.
For her first standalone this author does it’s wonderful! The story is great , a message of hope with well buit characters.
Ginnie is a strong woman, she was deeply hurt but she is moving on, independent she put others before herself and she is an artist. When offered a wish she simply can’t believe its'( true and even if it is she doesn’t have one, in her eyes you must work to deserve something.
Mr Wish… he is mysterious, generous but buried behind that there is something traumatic too. He is partly broken even if he refuses to admit it
together they make a great pairs with their difficulties, their hopes and their feelings growing.
Really i loved this story and if you want an excellent contemporary romance this one you can grab and simply wish for the best.
I loved this twist on the genie in a bottle. Mimi Jean has written another winner!
Ginnie is a struggling artist, but has been taught never to except handouts, you get what you work for. She’s been hurt and has lost her trust in men, love and people. Nothing ever comes for free…..does it?? A series of strange “coincidences” bring a beautiful glass bottle with a note inside into Ginnie’s life. She’s offered one wish, but can she make it count!
Mr Wish is the ultimate man of mystery, intriguing and gorgeous, but is he for real? Ginnie’s reaction to him is unlike anyone else, but is he a con artist or dream maker? Is he led by mystical powers or is there a perfectly rational explanation for all of it? Could it be that Mr Wish really could make Ginnie’s dream come true if she’ll only admit to what she truly wants?
I really enjoyed reading this, Mimi Jeans writing kept me turning the pages as I wanted to know the sexy, seemingly selfless Marus’s secrets. I loved Ginnie, she and her friend Vi were hilarious and I loved the mystery….. Of course there is the MJP twist and here it does take a darker, heartbreaking turn, but I loved it, even when I wanted to slap Marus for what he does.
Wish is a sexy, funny, feel good, easy reading page turner of a story, but the question is….. if you were given one wish, what would it be?
Warm, funny, cute, angsty, mysterious, steamy and with a hot as hell hero – the perfect book
What should a girl wish for when she meets the genie from the bottle? Well Ginnie didn’t want to make a wish, because she was determined to make her own way in life, not rely on others. Though the sexy AF guy demanding she makes a wish does have her desiring something.
Wish will keep you guessing through out the story. Is Mr Wish/Marus for real? Can he really grant wishes? How is it legal for a man to be so hot? The plot winds its way along, entertaining you as it goes. There is a sprinkle of just about everything you could want in a romance story and it kept me enthralled from start to finish. I absolutely adored this feel-good book.
Fantastic characters, great writing, unexpected twists, gentle humour and scorching hot chemistry makes this a must read book for anyone who enjoys good contemporary romance. A book to read when you don’t even feel like reading because it will suck you in, wrap you in a wonderful experience and leave you so very satisfied.
Once again Mimi surprises us by taking us on a totally different adventure and I am in love with Mr. Wish (Marus) and Ginnie. This book pulls you in from the start and doesn’t let you go even long after the story has ended. You’re left wanting to hunt for mosaic art and beautiful bottles. We meet some great new characters who aren’t afraid to put it all out there. It was a fun read with all the feels. I am looking forward to seeing what Mimi brings us next.
It’s so Mimi, really taking us by surprise and giving us something completely different
A completely enjoyable story. Characters you wish were real and an immersive story, it pulls you and doesn’t let go even after the story is over. It will have you looking for genie bottles for your own Mr. Wish.
Ginnie is an artist, she creates glass mosaics. She use to be a teacher until her boyfriend convinced her to move across the country to live with him be an artist full time and even buy a house. Then she walks in on him with another woman, and then he cleans out her bank account and leaves her with a mortgage she can barely cover. Ginnie is just trying to stay afloat working on commission and with a stall in the farmer’s market. The glass she uses in her art is all repurposed going to garage sales and thrift stores she finds all the best stuff, including a very unusual glass bottle she wants for her collection. When Ginnie gets home she discovers a message in the bottle, she’s has been granted one wish. A wish would make all of Ginnie’s problems disappear but she doesn’t want the easy way out it’s probably not even real to begin with but then he shows up, the most gorgeous man she’s ever seen and he’s telling her to make her wish.
What follows is an emotional and funny tale of wish fulfillment. Mr. Wish is a mysterious and sexy addition to the Hunks of Mimi. Ginnie is a bright, talented, strong, and stubborn woman just like we like them.
Overall, it’s another winner from Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. Yes it is a complete stand alone. (I still don’t believe it. Mainly because I can see a crossover with King happening…. well that’s my wish anyways.) It’s a brilliant book.
This book deserves every star by succeeding in making me smile and laugh when outside it is bucketing down, with no end in sight! It is a lovely slice of sunny weather wrapped up in a cost armchair next to a roaring fire. I have loved every minute of reading Ginnie and Marus/Mason’s story in all it’s fairy tale finery and will mark it down in my list of ‘books guaranteed to make me feel happy.”
Omg! I want a Mr. Wish!
Wish was a completely unique book, and I absolutely LOVED it!!!!! Just when you think you have it figured out, BAM! everything changes.
Ginnie has had a tough time lately. She moves to Albany with her boyfriend, buys a house in her name, convinces her to follow her art dreams, and gives him money to start a business. What does he do? Yeah … he becomes a douchecanoe and cheats on her leaving her stuck with house she can’t afford.
Looking for new glass for her art, she comes across a unique bottle with a note inside telling her to make a wish.
Mr. Wish grants wishes to certain people… within reason. This starts the beginning of what changes Ginnie’s life forever.
I absolutely love all of Mimi Jean’s books since they are sooooo awesome and unique. I have a few favorites… The King series (OMG, I SAW THAT THERE’S GOING TO BE ANOTHER ONE!!!!)… Fate Book (really want another of these) Fugly… vampire assistant… the Accidentally series… Rook… wait, I just LOVE all of her books, and this one just became another new favorite.
I highly recommend this book. It kept me so highly entertained, I barely could do anything else but to read it in just a few hours.
I received an ARC for my honest review.
If you had one wish, what would you wish for?
After she finds a beautiful bottle, Ginnie is given the chance to make that one wish. What she decides to wish for is something that changes her, her life, and so much more forever. A true standalone with all the twists, turns, and mysteries expected from the fabulous Mimi. This book left me satisfied with beautiful HEA. A magical story of finding love and finding a second chance at a happy life.
WOW another great read by Mimi. I loved every minute of this book. The twist is something I didn’t see coming. That is what makes Mimi’s books so great.
This standalone story is such a fun read. It is funny, witty, gave me all the feels that I have come to expect from Mimi Jean. A great twist on the genie in a bottle storyline. If you had one wish that would be granted, what would you wish for?
Wow! I love love love this!!
What a great premise for a story. Is he really a genie? Is there a reasonable explanation for everything happening to Ginnie? I thought I had it all figured out but Mimi took my assumptions, shredddd them up, threw them in the air and made me tape them all back together. I was blown away! I love Mr Wish and Ginnie.
I wish I could forget this story so I could go back and be blown away again .
5 stars!!!
As always with the brilliant storyteller I have completely and irritably fallen in love with this emotionally thrilling and heart racing yet engaging couple. This is a sexy and fun twist on magical wish granting. I loved every exciting twist and laugh out loud turn!
A simple classic with a twist. Everybody makes wishes but nobody believes they actually come true. Mr. Wish provides the chance to make that wish. Ginnie thinks the guy is off his meds but there is a real story behind the man. A fascinating story with twists and turns, a bit of steamy romance, fantasy and kindheartedness. Always a pleasure to read her books, never expect a cookie cutter story and always enjoy the ride. I received an advanced copy and wrote my review voluntarily.
If you could have one wish, what would it be?
Ginnie Angelico keeps her head down, frequents estate sales and thrift shops for glass to use to create art to sell at the local farmers market and fill the commissions she started getting. Once full of hope for her future and the dream of home, family and a successful art career, now she just wants to be able survive the next few months. That and to forget about her lying, cheating, thieving no good ex who left her in so much debt she might as well be a few broken pieces of glass away from being homeless.
Ginnie doesn’t believe in wishes, and doesn’t have time for such nonsense. But what happens when Ginnie finds a mysteriously unique glass bottle not once, but twice within 2 days proclaiming to be able to grant her a single wish?
“Mr Wish” is a no nonsense kind of man, He’s mysterious, he’s brooding, and has glacial blue eyes that could freeze the sunniest of people. He’s also very frustrated by one glass artist for not making her wish so he can move onto the next random person.
On a collision course with each other you wonder if it’s fate that has brought Ginnie and Mr Wish together. As they move through their lives coming closer to the climatic moment where everything is laid bare, and you can’t help but wonder will they survive what lays ahead or will they both be left irrevocably broken.
Wish does not disappoint as you find you can’t read fast enough, trying to figure out just what is going on, only to be blindsided by one of Mimi Jean’s signature twists. Another first rate story where the characters are so well written that you believe you are reading about living people you become emotionally invested in their lives, not fictional people.
Wish is a deviation from Mimi Jean Pamfiloff’s typical books in that there is no cliffhanger. It is a true standalone, which most Mimi readers are aware never happens (there are several of us still waiting for her to say just kidding book two will be out in x number of months). That’s just the way her mind works, she builds these amazing worlds where there is so much story to tell that it’s hard to believe she will let it go after only one.
Ginnie wouldn’t mind a HEA, especially after her ex turned out to not be such a prince, but she was raised to not let that stop her and to make her own.
Even if it is difficult. And maybe she’s wished it weren’t.
Speaking of…
On her quest for the perfect glass for one of her commissions, she encounters a man who soon enters her life and just won’t go away…
But does she want him too?
Not only is he hard for her to resist, but he is a mystery she wants to solve.
So many good things in this book!! A standalone! No cliffie! A little mystery, some ‘magic’, karma, humor, epic dates, a little Easter egg that made me smile about a Rook, all in all, classic phenomenal Mimi Jean wrapped in one beautiful five star bow!!
I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
This was a great standalone – yes, it’s really a standalone read that kept me guessing throughout this read. Ginnie and Marus/Mason/Mr. Wish were well written characters that were genuine and not afraid to show their vulnerabilities throughout their story. I was hooked on their story from the start as the chemistry between Ginnie and Mr. Wish was palpable from the start and I was desperate to see how their story turned out. I would definitely recommend this book to others.
If you had only one wish… what would it be for???
I totally adored this book.
Mr Wish was hot as hell, Sexy amd Mysterious… harbouring his own secrets.
Ginnie was sweet and independent but she had had her heart broken… but still had one wish.
The chemistry between Ginnie amd Marus was off the charts.
This was a complete standalone but had me wanting more.
I devoured this book in one sitting. Love how Mimi takes us on adventures with her stories.
All you need us love… and a little genie magic.
At the end of the day… love IS all you need
Wish is a stand alone romance by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. This story is told from the heroine’s POV.
In this book we have Ginnie. She has had a bad break up, moving across country for a guy and then him screwing her over. Ginnie seems like a free spirit. She designs glassware, like stain glass / lamps is what she designs, and sells at the local country fairgrounds and has her own shop.
One day while shopping for more glass, and on the look for different colored glasses to use, she stumbles upon a bottle that is unique in itself. Inside the bottle she finds a note about making a wish, she thinks it’s a hoax, like who would leave a bottle out with a note for people to make a wish? Who would ever grant her a wish? Ginnie also see’s a man following her. But, by the time she goes to search for him he’s already gone.
Marus – who use to go by Marcus is trying to help those who need help. He has planted bottles with notes to get people’s ‘wishes’. If he is able to grant someone a wish he will. Marus seems to be in the right place, at the right time. He tries to help those who need help, or those who are trying to turn their lives around.
Marus see’s that Ginnie doesn’t want $5 million dollars, she just wants peace, and to be able to work. Ginnie has changed Marus in a good way. Ginnie has tried to figure Marus out, but, has a hard time with him.
What is his ultimate end game? How can he help people? Why does he want to do it? Will Ginnie become a helper with Marus??
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book from the author. I am freely leaving an honest review.
Modern day take on a wish-granting genie! Loved Marus and Ginnie’s story. Made me laugh and cry and was hard to put down. Loved it!
