From New York Times bestseller Mimi Jean Pamfiloff comes a sexy standalone Billionaire Romance. My ex was a con artist who left my life in shambles. But am I going to let that break me? No.I’ve got a plan. It’s a long shot, but with some hard work, I’ll pull my life back together.Only, just as I’m in the thick of it, I find an unusual bottle with a note inside: “You get one wish. Har har. Someone’s idea of a joke?
Apparently not.
And nothing could prepare me for the screamin’ hot man with piercing blue eyes who shows up at my door. He says the note is his and he wants to give me true happiness. Money is no object. A wish granted from a billionaire.
Uh, is he for real? And why me?
I should slam the door in his sex-god face, because this guy has trouble written all over him. But the more time I spend with the demanding, arrogant man, the deeper I get into a twisted history that pulls at my heart.
Suddenly I do have a wish… Him.

Screwed over by her ex, Ginnie is ready to take back control of her life. She doesn’t want charity and wants to make it on her own through hard work and determination. But, when she finds a note in a bottle telling her to make a wish, she doesn’t know what to think . . . especially when a sexy man shows up at her door telling her to make her one wish count!
Who is Mr. Wish? Why does he go around granting complete strangers their one true desire? And, what happens when Ginnie decides she doesn’t want money or an object, but wants Mr. Wish himself?
Their connection is strong and instantaneous. But, in order to get her wish, Ginnie has to agree that he doesn’t want to talk about his past, he has his own secrets and he doesn’t want to be fixed. She’ll need to accept him as is. For a person who loves making others happy, takes in strays and fixes people, it may be too much for Ginnie to agree to.
When fate steps in a second time, everything changes and all may be lost when Mr. Wish is faced with life altering realizations. Will Ginnie’s wish come true or will she be left with nothing but a bottle filled with empty dreams and heartbreak?
Wish was a really different story and felt super unique to me. I loved how original the plot and characters were and I adored that it had a somewhat supernatural feel even though it wasn’t . . the whole genie in a bottle vibe was very cool! The characters were really wonderful and full of depth and emotion and the plot itself had some truly unexpected twists and a fabulous ending! 4.5 stars!
Ginnie Angelico’s life had turned into complete cow dung. Not only had her ex cheated on her and made off with all of her life savings, she was stuck with a house she couldn’t really afford and a career that may not take off. She was up the creek without a paddle. She loves making her glass pieces, finding used glass works to break to make into something beautiful and new. On the hunt for some new glass, she comes across a unique piece at a yard sale. A too bad and too hot for his own good guy steals the bottle right from her hands. Ah well. What are the chances she’ll find a piece like that again? Oh, the force was strong because a trip to the local thrift store has her finding the exact same bottle! What was this? Fate? Serendipity? Kismet? The workings of a mystical being or the workings of a grand imagination?
Mr. Wish was the proverbial genie. He showed up everywhere, his bottle kept appearing, despite how many times and ways Ginnie got rid of it, and he was insanely hot and mysterious. He only wanted to give you what you most desired. There were conditions and rules to each wish and this part of the story proved most interesting. I loved the generosity of his spirit and his determination to spread happiness.
While I enjoyed the heck out of the premise of this story, I found it difficult to actually connect to it. Marus’s story held so much potential, but because this entire tale was told through Ginnie’s perspective, I found it impossible to become invested. At times this story was so ridiculous that I couldn’t help but laugh and I think that was the author’s goal. I haven’t read an MJP story that hasn’t prompted my giggles. Wish was a twist on fantasy that brought with it a lot of warmth and realism. It made me wonder what I would wish for and if Marus would even find me deserving. It gave me the freedom to question my own goodness and I appreciated that that was what drew me into liking it. If you love a taste of the unknown, a bit of fantasy mixed with altruism, a touch of romance with a hint of mystery, this story is just the read for you!
I absolutely loved this whimsical, steamy romance! It kept me guessing until the very end! Was it magic and fantasy or was it the true magic of love?
This is the story Ginnie and Mr. Wish and what a wild ride it is.
Ginnie has been burned by a horrible relationship and she is just trying to piece her life back together doing what she loves. While searching for glass she comes across a bottle that intrigues her. I admired this character’s tenacity to find out the true man behind Mr. Wish and her giving nature that really was the catalyst to finding out who Mr. Wish is.
Mr. Wish, this hero was truly a magic man. His story is going to rock your world and really make you believe in the power of the human spirit. There are times you are going to hate him, but he is such a redeeming character.
Ms. Pamfiloff has a magic to her words that is just amazing. I fell under the spell of this story hard and was sad to see it end.
Mimi Jean never fails to deliver an exceptional story plot and this book is no exception. Characters are original and witty and the story is full enough that you don’t feel the need to skip ahead or lose interest. Highly recommend!
I loved this book!! Loved the characters and the HEA!!
Ginnie is trying to get her business started and getting her confidence back after her ex dumped her. She finds a bottle with a note that says you get one wish. Marcus shows up at her front door, ready to grant her one wish. I remember thinking is this guy for real or a con artist? The two argue and irritate one another but the attraction between them is smoking hot. A cute read that I enjoyed and recommend.
Love her books
An entertaining read:
This was a fun and light, easy read. I was initially skeptical about the whole mysticism and magic wishing aspect however it soon became apparent that this is not about supernatural powers. Aside from that I enjoyed considering what I’d wish for if I could have anything…
It was fun seeing Ginnie and Marus move towards an authentic relationship, however there are twists and obstacles for them to navigate along the way. They end up helping and ‘fixing’ one another and I was glad that they found peace and healing.
Overall I enjoyed this sweet and entertaining book.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions expressed are solely my own.
This was a really good book.. it had its twist and turns.. you experience the characters emotions at their hard times. I couldn’t imagine going through what Mason/Marcus has gone through, to loose your memory but still do good for others.. to help out those and grant them 1 wish..
This was a great book.. a page turner and could not put it down
A wish isn’t a hope. It’s a plea to the universe to make your deepest desires come true.
Fabulous book Mimi Jean…. just fabulous. Wish is a genie with a bottle story but also a romance with a twist. It has a wonderful cast of characters and some references to her previous books which I found to be cute. This is a standalone book about a young artist who connects with this genie through her artwork.
What did I like? The mysterious factor of Marus was perfect… he showed up and disappeared on whim. Ginnie though was my favorite… starving artist with romantic ideals and her inability to be like everyone else with a wish. I laughed throughout this book, and just really found it witty and charming. A perfect read that held my attention, and kept it until the end.
Would I recommend or buy? If you know Mimi Jeans books then you know what your getting. This is probably going to be one of my favorites by her. The book starts out fantastical but changes midway to make the genie part more realistic than magical. I enjoyed it immensely.
Thoughts for the author? Congratulations on your new release! Five stars…. funny and charming story. I received a copy from Netgalley to read and give my opinion.
How does she keep coming up with the different and unique story ideas? She never disappoints and this one is one of her best yet! It’s a light-hearted stand-alone that everyone needs to read. Not fluffy at all. Lots of depth and very low on the angst meter. But then, Ms. Pamfiloff writes most of her comedic books with little or no angst. That’s what makes her special. I know going in that it will be a fun-filled adventure ride filled with romance, in-depth characters, a unique storyline and a message to be said.
Mr. Wish is a dream and a ginger to boot. Plus, he is mysterious and I loved finding out more about him and his background. Ginnie is a strong heroine that has been burned by love and has to learn to love again. It’s not an easy road for her but getting her there is half the fun.
There is so much awesomeness in this book. It’s hard to put into words how much I loved this book. The mystery that surrounds the book is fantastic even if I wanted to slap someone around. Yes, I’m looking at you Mr. Wish. But again, that’s what makes her books so good. Just when you think that you are done, she hits you up against the wall with a twist and you are shouting…Oh no she didn’t.
Do yourself a favor and get this book. Heck get all of her books. You won’t regret it. Trust me on this.
This is my first read by the author and although it took me a bit to really get into the story, it definitely had a magical touch to it. I wasnt quite sure what to make of the genie. He was abit on the abrupt side and got on my nerves but he was trying to get Ginnie to make her wish truly from her heart. It was a good story. The premise was good but I just couldnt get Marus, was he really there or was he a real genie. It was definitely mystifying!!!
A cute and sweet read that is full of mystery, kindness, and love. This book starts with Ginnie who is struggling in life right now because of a bad breakup she has lost faith in humanity and herself. She is doing everything she possibly can to survive day to day life, make her business work, and trying hard to find herself again. She finds this glass bottle that is gorgeous so she purchases it not knowing how much it would change her life. Mr. Wish is a mysterious guy that shows up at random times throughout all Ginnie’s life and she becomes curious about him, but all he wants is for her to make a wish and get on with life. See we are led to believe that this handsome stranger is like a genie of sorts and grants one wish to those he deems worthy. Ginnie being a curious person and not trusting people as easily as she uses to sets out to get to know Mr. Wish/Marus, but he is determined to keep her away from himself. We embark on journey of Ginnie trying to find what makes her happy, falling for Marus, and Marus’ secret life. It kept me intrigued throughout the whole book and was an interesting take on helping others and finding a genie in a bottle. One thing I wasn’t too sure about was towards the end I think it took Mr. Wish too long to get his crap together and I think Ginne was too forgiving way to quickly, I feel like he needed to grovel some more, but I enjoyed it. It also left me windering if we all had one true wish what would we want? Would we want to help others like Marus, would we want to just to find happiness in materialistic things, or would we want love like Ginnie?
This was a surprising read! While it begins exactly as all magical tales should, it takes a turn and then another and another until I didn’t know where this story was going to end up.
When Ginnie finds an unusual vase, she soon finds herself face to face with a handsome, mysterious stranger who is offering her one wish for anything she desires. I loved that she didn’t automatically go for the obvious choice and because of it, her whole life changes.
I love stories that have some magic to them and while this one certainly took me in a direction I never saw coming, I loved every moment of it. Ranging from humor to a bit of darkness, I was completely engaged from beginning to end.
I absolutely loved this book! Mimi Jean Pamfiloff kept me on my toes trying to figure things out until the end. And as usually we get a unique story that keeps us entertained and left wanting more! I want more now
Wish by Mimi Jean Pamfiloff is the story of Ginnie and Marus.
Ginnie once was a teacher but her boyfriend convinced her to move with him, buy a house and to consecrate on her desire to be a artist. So she went of with trust to start a new part of her life only to find later her boyfriend with another women who then up and took all her money. Now she is stuck barley making the mortgage or making it day to day. But she is still trying to create her art which has her always on the look for glass and bottles to use toward her art. One day when she returns home from an outing she finds one of her bottles has a a paper telling her she can make one wish to help herself. But of course she doesn’t believe it nor the man that shows up to repeat the wish request.
Of course she still doesn’t think it is real but she finds herself attracted to her ‘Genie”.
This was a fun read that keeps you turning pages.
This book is a must read!!! The transformation of Marus will leave you with several emotions. Ginnie is a strong beautiful woman. Love it
5 ‘smashing glass’ stars.
What would you wish for if you got only one wish?
That’s the dilemma facing Ginnie, an artist who works with glass. She loves her work, and loves life. If only her lovelife felt the same. Ginnie’s had a hard time recently, thanks to her horrible ex, but she’s trying to put it behind her.
When she finds an exceptional bottle, she wants it, but it’s stolen from her, but, somehow she finds it again. This bottle marks the start of something new and brilliant and at times weird and scary for her.
Marus is a man of mystery. He’s hot, sexy and drives Ginnie to distraction. What’s the connection between them?
The bottle.
Reading the first half of this story felt like it should have been marked as a fantasy/ supernatural kinda book, but later, we get to the nitty, gritty of it becomes clear. If you’re looking for something completely different, then this one’s for you.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to fans and new-comers to Ms. Pamfiloff.
I wish I may,
I wish I might,
have a genie of my own tonight!
Wish is an over the top adorable story with all the fun of a genie…with the attitude of a bratty 12 year old girl being told see can’t go to the mall with her friends or use her phone. Lol. Well maybe bratty isn’t the right word exactly, but brooding isn’t either- though it seems sexier. So we’ll go with brooding…
This genie is hot, cranky, and only out to grant your wish. Sounds like divine intervention right!?!? But there are a few catches and a teeny tiny problem…Ginnie doesn’t have a wish.
It’s sexy and cute with just enough intrigue to keep you guessing. So what’s your Wish?
Wishing Meets the Technology Age
A new stand-alone contemporary romance – and yet another 5-star read from Mimi Jean Pamfiloff. Her books have become an automatic 1-click for me, and across all the different genres she brings us, I have yet to be disappointed. Wish is a freshly updated and truly unique take on the “genie in a bottle” fantasy that will hook you from the first page.
Why did I love this book? The reasons are many, but if I had to pick just one thing, it’s the richness of both the characters and the story. Every aspect from character backstory to hilarious internal dialogue has an attention to detail that brings the story vividly to life. Our heroine Ginnie is a mosaic artist who has recently uprooted herself to follow her boyfriend across the country. She’s invested her life and her savings in their future; unfortunately her lying, cheating now EX-boyfriend has not. Despite the hard times she finds herself in, Ginnie is kindhearted and selfless, with a rod of steel running through her independent spine – and she does NOT take charity. She’s determined to turn things around on her own merits. While on the thrifty hunt for new glass for use in her artwork, Ginnie finds a gorgeous bottle…not once, but twice. Enter Mr. Wish. If you could have one wish…what would YOU wish for?
We get the perfect amount of mystery tidbits mixed in here with our romance and humor. Is Mr. Wish really a genie? What does Ginnie need to do to get her life back under control? True to form, just when you think you’ve got things figured out…well, you don’t! I loved every twisty turn and laugh out loud interaction all the way to the HEA. ALL the feels, you guys!
If you enjoy sassy wit and steamy romance with a sprinkle of mystery and fantasy, then you absolutely need this book. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. However, I’ve purchased MANY of Mimi Jean’s books in the past, and would have happily 1-clicked this one!
