It’s good to be back in Sophie’s world. When I’m waiting for the next book in the series, I find myself missing her and some of the other characters, as if she was a real person and a friend :). Toby takes us again through high and lows, heartbreak and hope, action and romance. I have to say there were a few moments in the story that left me speechless as I didn’t see THAT coming.
This was one part of Sophie’s journey that I wish it was 10000 pages. I am looking forward to reading her next adventure.
OLD SECRETS + NEW SECRETS = ALL TYPES OF DEEP DARK SECRETS!
Sophie Ang is back and she thinks she’s ready to handle any problem she may have to face. If she knew several of her worst nemeses were already planning her takedown, she’d be stepping up her practice of “hiding in plain sight”. She has been tested many times before (her ex-husband possibly being the worst!) but this time, the hits will come from many different directions. Sophie finds herself in one of the deepest, darkest spots she has been in and uses her beloved technology to call for help. She is desperate to reach out for help from an unlikely source. The secrets continue to build and so does the intensity. There are secrets among her family members, secrets in a huge trial that she’s involved in, secrets in Security Solutions, secrets in her feelings for two men, secrets in her personal life and secrets in her cyber working collaboration with the Ghost in the name of justice. I was provided an ARC of this book by the author. The opinions expressed here are completely my own and without influence.
WIRED SECRETS by Toby Neal Paradise Crime 7
Chang’s a drug family; private firm Sophie and Jake getting Holly into witness program. Before they leave the cell, a riot, and a jammer used so no signal out. The story line continues with in depth feelings for Sophie what’s she goes thru, with each dangerous situation, that takes a toll on her. As readers we are delighted to have the adventure, the tension, and another great read.
Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion.
Author Toby Neal has another hit with Wired Secret. In this adventure, we learn more about Sophie Ang’s troubling past and the resulting mental health issues she must endure. Ms. Neal deftly combines serious, relevant topics with a fast-paced, intriguing story. Although this story stands on its own, it is satisfying to follow Sophie’s growth in the previous “Wired” novels. I can’t wait for the next one! Please, Ms. Neal, write faster.
This presents some paradoxes. The use of the canine is not only fascinating but shows how Toby Neal constructs an unusual character. This needs more promotion to a film and cross literary genres.
Love this series!!!
Enjoy the characters and following them through all the books I’ve read so far. Looking forward to more books.
Unlike previous books in the series, this one is disjointed and unpleasant to read. Sophie Ang is not a sympathetic detective
Beginning hooks you.
Toby does it again and keeps the saga going in fine style. This is a real page turner and keeps you on the edge of your seat until the end.
I enjoyed the charcters!!
Did not realize Toby was a female author. Half of the book was who the lead was going to bed with or not and why it was her fault.
I love Tony Neal books. I become attached to the characters. And they take place in Hawaii
Love this author
AS
I have read a lot of Toby Neal books, she uses enough detail, does enough research to make the books believable. So many of these online books make such blatant mistakes. So I find Neal’s books to be quite good.
Reaching the end of this book was disappointing when I realized it pretty much followed into the next in the series. I’m always disappointed when this happens.
Having now read all the (currently out) “Wired” books, Toby Neal continues to entertain with interesting plots, but most of all, the characters actually grow as the series progresses, unlike way too many authors with formulaic characters and plots, as if “insert a different noun here” makes a plot twist. I’ll continue to read these as long as they come out.
Toby Neal is a great writer…all of her books are worth reading
I read anything written by Toby Neal and it never disappoints!
