I love this series
This book is recommended for readers who really enjoy being inside the mind of the hero(ine) more than usual, at the expense of action. Well written, but not really what I was expecting.
Love all the Hawaii based books. They Keep me totally engrossed in the character.
This book showed such a different side of Sophie. It was such a different plot. I really felt I got to know her character better and could definitely identify with her better than any of the other books in which she appeared. Can’t wait to read the next in this series.
Great read!
I love the books. Great Author
an excellent read!!!
Enjoyed this book. The characters were well portrayed and the story line was fast moving and action packed. Unexpected ending. The reason I gave this 4 stars is because the heroine took a bit more abuse then was realistic. However, overall a good read.
Love all of Toby Neal’s books. So pleased that there is a new series after Lei crime series. Yay, here we go again. Great characters, great crimes, great books. 5 stars.
Very unexpected story. An eye opener when considering the treatment of women in other cultures.
Like the rest of the series, you really get to know the characters so you can’t just stop with reading one in the series – you have to read them all.
I always like books about females in traditionally male roles. I particularly liked this one since it took a geeky girl out of her lab and into the field. Very humanizing .
Fun characters and serious plot
Loved this book! Working my way through the entire series.
I loved this book could not put it down Had everything I enjoy reading about adventure good vs evil.. the dog is terrific. I highly recommend this book!!!
Sophie Ang is a young woman who worked for the FBI as an IT expert. When the Bureau tries to take away a crime fighting computer program she created, she resigns and starts working for a private security company, who just started on a case the FBI determined was merely a civil matter.

This is the second book in a series, but the first I have read. The character of Sophie is very well-developed, with all the strengths and weaknesses of any good protagonist. She may be a computer whiz and an amazing MMA fighter, but she is also an introvert who is dealing with clinical depression. Her backstory is engrossing, and make her a very sympathetic person the reader will enjoy rooting for. The story was an interesting one, and the tale flowed smoothly, with little in the way of wasted words. This book definitely has me wanting to read the first book, and then continue Sophie’s saga.

My Rating: 4.5/5 stars
I highly recommend any of Toby Neal’s books. I love the plot twists & can’t wait to see what happens with the characters!
