I just love this series of books! Make you feel like you know the characters.
Enjoyed the tech angle.
i have read a number of books by this author in a few series and they do not disappoint
Really enjoyed this series!
I really enjoyed reading this book. I liked the characters. The story is brilliant, exciting, unputdownable reading. It’s a fantastic story that doesn’t stop, grabbing you at the beginning and not letting go until ‘the end ‘. Sophie is a fascinating FBI agent and the interaction between the FBI and local law enforcement was terrific. It’s such a unique story that has made me a fan of Tony Neal’s writing. I look forward to reading more of her books.
FBI agent/computer whiz has endured a traumatic childhood, an abusive arranged marriage. She has worked to live her best life, but knows she has to be aware of her surroundings as her horrid ex may come looking for her. He is no one to cross and she knows she may not survive another exposure to him.
I really enjoyed this novel about Sophie Ang of the FBI set in Hawaii written by Toby Neal, and I intend to read all the other books in this series. If you’ve read the Lei crime series by this author, then you will enjoy the Sophie series too.
I have read several of Toby Neal’s Lei Crime series, but this is the first book from the Wired series. I loved being familiar with some of the characters, but this is Sophie’s time to shine. Loved the book, the relationships within it and the story line. Will continue to purchase other books in the series.
Loved it!
This book will keep you reading.
Cousins that owe favors to one another, when one is a District Attorney, and the other of crime. Justify’s by saying the family needs you. With tools Akane now feels in power once again after the trial, and revenge the name of the game. The list, with the female investigator at the top, and her partner. The Merrie Monarch Festival in Hilo, her firm gives a grant to it each year, has come to the new security offices of Sophie and Jake’s.
Discrete with them being outsiders to look at missing money. For Sophie, she still has revenge against her mother. In this she becomes more real, and readers will like that. How does Jake play into this role, we hope permentaly. For Jake, his love is strong, and always goes that extra for her.
The story is real, captivating, page turner, full of action, the author has gone beyond giving us another drama filled story. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion. Ellen Oceanside
Once again I’ve been lured into the crime world of Toby Neal. I’ve read most of her Lei Crime series. The Wired series is a spinoff on one of Lei’s friends, Sophie Ang. Toby Neal creates characters that are so real and believable that it’s difficult to believe that they are ficional people. I wish I had read this one first before the fourth, Wired Dark but that is what I had in my Kindle at the time. Without offering a spoiler alert, I knew Sophie’s ex was behind some of the dastardly deeds but I did not come close to guessing the ending. For me one of the criteria of a great read is the challenge to the reader to figure it out before it is finally revealed.
I think everyone should read the whole “Wired” series by Toby Neal, all of the books are super.
Excellent book if you like mysteries and police action novels.
not compelling enough to get beyond 10% of book (my threshold).
This was a good book. However, if I had known that the plot lines weren’t wrapped up and you need to buy the next book to continue the story I wouldn’t have read it. Disappointing to get to the end and be left hanging. I try not to buy books like that. Seems like a cheap trick by the author.
Somewhat disappointing reading.
This book has some interesting characters from Toby Neal’s other books, but they do not seem to be as well developed. It is a short read, and I felt could have used a deeper story line.
I thought it was way too short.
