Shadow Isle Reformatory where the good, the bad, and the worst are sent to be fixed. What no one tells you, is the teachers don’t give two shits, and its more of a prison than an actual reformatory. The only thing we learn here, is how to survive.Being born of winter and ice, survival should have been no issue for me. There was one catch, I had no clue how to control it. I was a constant … constant disappointment to my family, one they feared instead of loved. It didn’t help that my sister had it out for me and was determined to have me sent away.
My sister got her wish, and I was sent to hell on earth, needing to figure out who to trust, and who was my enemy. I find the most unlikely allies, or at least I thought I had until I learned that betrayal was right in our midst.
A druid, the son of Lucifer, a Lion shifter and the son of Jack Frost himself…. Who can I trust and who is ready to betray me, just as my family had?

Awesome book
This book was fantastic! Eva has magic, but never being able to use it she’s locked away by her family. Then she gets sent to Shadow Isle Reformatory because she can’t control her powers, I simply loved Eva’s character. Sebastian, comes to take her to her new school, the connection between the two is immediate. When she gets to the Reformatory she meets her Calex, Blade, and Jaxon and feels something for them too. I loved how their relationships developed. This book is seriously amazing and I can’t recommend it highly enough. I can’t wait for the next book.
fantastic book and the second cannot be published quickly enough!!
I absolutely loved this book and the start of this series. Eva can’t control her ice power, she gets sent to a reformatory, well a prison by her parents. She meets those who turn out to be her mates. There’s drama, action and you need to read this immediately. I can’t wait for book 2.
I love books with fairy tales entwined into story and unique twists. This read did a great job of this. We have Eva who is a descendant of the Snow Queen but has no control over her powers. She ends up getting sent to a reformatory but in truth it’s merely a butal prison run by Jack Frost. There Eva meets 4 guys – Calex, Sebastian, Blade & Jaxon. All of them are not what they seem and it was so much fun finding out their backgrounds. All 5 of them are strong and this puts them in grave danger…so let the adventure begin.
Twists aside this was a great story. It starts out a little slow and it seems like you know exactly where the story is going but by the time you get past the first couple of chapters you realize this may not be the story you thought it was. The interaction between the characters was fun to watch and the development between then was intriguing. Eva could be a little annoying at times to be honest but you can’t help but like her. I enjoyed her growth as a character from the beginning of the story to the end and can’t wait to see her grow even more in the next book. I like all of the guys as well and enjoyed Eva’s interactions with all of them.
All in all it was a read that I would recommend!
This book was really good. The book made me cry because of the amount of detail it had. And the fact that her family was out right rude and making it seem like she was a disappointment. I could relate to this because I too feel like this sometimes. And this book made me realize again that I can get help from those around that aren’t my blood family but a family that I form by bonding with them. Her parents and her sister are so evil that it breaks my heart that they would do something like that to her. Especially her mother. Her mother should be supporting her no matter what she does. She should love her daughter no matter what. But her younger sister got the best of the family and it was then and there that she could do nothing to convince to her parents that she didn’t do the things that she did. She was framed by her younger sister to have her sent away. As the book is ending and she finds her mates and goes away from the prison into hiding, we learn and important message from the book. The past doesn’t define who are, But your actions and choices do. How you decide what your fate is going to be depending on what choice you make.
This spin on Frozen is fun and steamy. This story reminds you that the family you are born with might not be your true family and Eva discovers this by being thrown into a dark place where she finds her guiding lights. Eva is a strong lead and her men are yummy!
This is an amazing and completely addicting book that I could not put down and had to keep going. Eva gets sent to Shadow Isle Reformatory because she can’t control her powers and there meets Sebastian, Calex, Blade and Jaxon her mates. I love how loyal and fiercely protective they are of her as she is with them. She is such a strong person and does not give up so easily. I was just drawn into this story from the very start. Can not wait for the next book because I definitely need more of them and to find out what will happen next.
Ok I love the formatting and cover of this book so freaking pretty! Ok they story wow just WOW the characters are so well developed and the story just sucks you in! You need to read this!
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! This is a book of dreams for moms that have young kids and you are stuck watching Disney movies. As I was reading this book, it hit me hard, a Frozen Reverse Harem along with a Lion King reference. Disney has now become an adult and learned about reverse harems. LOL Meet Evangeline Bylar, who is having a bit of difficulty controlling her magic. Due to this and an evil sister she is sent to the Shadow Isle Reformatory. So is this a prison or school. Here we meet Blade, Sebastian, Jaxon and Calex. OH MY, OH MY, OH MY sweet baby these men are hot, sweet, protective, dominant and powerful. So why are these powerful people in this reformatory. Can Eva get the help she needs to control her powers? You definitely need to pay attention to the story. It builds slow but quickly picks up and be prepared to be hot and cold all at once. Overall this book is amazing. I cannot wait to read the next book.
I don’t know whether to start by saying how this was my dream co-write, or how I can’t believe these two authors made me love a prison academy book, genre I haven’t considered reading before. I don’t really know why I’m surprised by this, it is not the first time they made me love a genre I never thought I would read. In any case, I can say from the bottom of my heart that I loved this book so much. It was a great story, it was superhot, and characters were amazing.
Firstly, whatever ideas you might have about what happens here, I can guarantee it’s something else and completely unexpected. And it’s fantastic! The authors have great ideas individually, but coming together it is pure magic. And what’s more, their writing styles meld so beautifully in one homogeneous story that it’s impossible to tell who wrote what. It’s a wonderful thing that two of them found each other and write so beautifully together.
And the characters… the characters are amazing! Eva is a victim of unfairness and bad circumstances, and not one to give up. It was beautiful to observe her personal growth in the last place where one would expect to grow. The guys are freaking fantastic. Calex is my greatest love from the first moment to the end. I mean, all of them are fantastic, each in his own way but Raven Prince is my absolute favourite. What I love most is that each one of them is a distinct person, with his little quirks and personalities. And there is so much hotness, be ready to be overheated while reading.
Then there is Eva’s best friend Una who is so adorable that I am hoping for more books so I can see more of her. I wish I could say more about the story, but it would all be spoilers. I loved this book and I love this writing combo. I seriously can’t wait to read more of their work. And I am sincerely hoping they will make writing together a permanent thing.
I freaking love this book! And freaking Hot, hot, hot! I love the storyline its freaking amazing! The characters are amazing as well! Dang I can’t wait to read more! Just wow wow wow! Amazing!
Wow! That’s all I got! Wow! But seriously this book is amazing! I really loved it! I loved the setting, the dynamics between the FMC and the guys, the mystery, the sexiness, the emotional turmoil, and so much more! These Authors did a kick ass job! You do not want to miss out on this one! It’s a Must Read!
I really enjoyed this book and it was my first book from these authors and I am so glad that i picked it up! This book has very Frozen vibe but adult RH prison version. It was a great combination of these themes. Eva can’t control her powers and her sister is determined to ruin her life by framing her for the evil things she does around their house and blames it on Eva to the point her Elite parents hate her and send her away. In the reformatory school i.e. prison she is forced to learn control or suffer worse consequences then she had ever experienced before. Some unlikely guys take an interest in her and try to protect her. Little do they know their biggest threat is the Warden himself Jack Frost. I can’t wait to find out what happens next
F**k yeah!!!! These ladies delivered a kick a** book!!! I love love loved it!!! It caught me immediately and kept hold of me until almost the ending. I was so nervous about the final showdown that I dropped the book and played games on my phone for three hours. I finally found the courage and picked up the book again. And what a showdown it was. The ending was absolutely fabulous.
Now let me just mention the incredible heat level in this book. It was volcano hot, like ripped panties everywhere. And the authors kept it smouldering throughout the book.
I absolutely loved Eva. She’s like kitten on the outside and a tiger inside. I can’t wait to follow how she grows in the next book. Now the guys are absolutely delicious *whispers* I licked the screen so now they are mine.
I highly recommend this book. Hurry up and find out why I loved it.
*Spoiler Alert*
Evangeline (FMC aka Eva) has temperamental elemental snow and ice magic. She has no control over it and it seems to be worse when she is stressed or upset. Which her sister (Alayna) takes great pleasure in getting her to be both. As a last resort (or so her parents think) shes sent to Shadow Isle Reformatory. A school for elementals like her but its anything but. More like a prison with sleazy guards, a creepy warden (called Jack Frost??) and back-stabbing inmates. Except Sebastian – Druid and prison officer, Calex – Son of Lucifer, Blade – Lion shifter and Jaxon – who has same elemental magic as Eva. Distrustful of everyone Eva has to learn to find her place and control her magic in this new world. I loved how Eva gained more confidence and strength as the story progressed. As well as her relationship with the guys. Hot as Hell!! Quite literally with Calex, lol. Flaming hell that ending though?? Knockout. Dying to get my hands on book 2 now
