Human webs are the deadliest…When Ryan O’Connelly—the unwilling accomplice of a bank robber turned mass murderer—slipped out of the FBI’s grasp, no one expected to hear from him again, much less of his own volition. But when he shows up at the FBI’s doorstep after almost a year of successful evasion, he has information to point Special Agent Winter Black in the direction of a brutal serial … a brutal serial killer.
As Ryan takes the team into the deep, dark web of sinister secrets, Winter receives an even more disturbing message from her brother than the last. She can feel him out there…watching, waiting.
Lucky for Winter, she isn’t afraid of spiders. She’s only afraid when the spider disappears.
Book seven of Mary Stone’s addictive Winter Black Series, Winter’s Web, exposes what goes on behind closed doors and the web of lies and deadly truths we ignore to protect the ones we love.

MY REVIEW
Book seven of Mary Stone’s addictive Winter Black Series, Winter’s Web, exposes what goes on behind closed doors and the web of lies and deadly truths we ignore to protect the ones we love especially our children. Mary Stone has become one of my favorite crime / serial killer authors. I have been hooked on her since the very first Winter Black book I read . Seven books later I am very addicted to this author. While every book in this series has been amazing I by far think this one is the best.
I can’t wait to start the next book in this series. If you haven’t started the series you really don’t know what you are missing. I highly recommend it, you won’t be disappointed I promise ! There is only 2 more books left in this series and i am going to be so sad to see this series come to an end. I wish the author would keep it going. I have been told she has many more great series to try. I really love Mary Stone’s writing! Her characters are so interesting, her descriptions are fantastic and the stories are ones you don’t want to stop reading. You can find this and a lot of other books by Mary Stone on kindle unlimited.
Now on to what i didn’t like. The constant reference to band T-shirts, and big hair bands is very annoying. Once or twice throughout the whole book would have been enough. I also found it a little odd that they did not interview the victims mom and that her mom never told them that her daughter had called her to get her out of the project date with Carmon because things were getting very weird. Other than these 2 things the book was perfect.
As always if you like the book you read please take the time to leave a review for the author in places like goodreads & Amazon. It does not have to be long. Just a few sentences saying you liked the book will do. Authors really appreciate every review they get !

Ryan O’Connelly was the unwilling accomplice to a thief turned vicious mass murderer when he escaped FBI custody. So, imagine everyone’s surprise when he willingly shows up with information on a twisted serial killer and a group on the dark web up to no good. He’s offering his help to catch these people in exchange for some help of his own. Can they trust him this time?
I’ve really enjoyed this series and this book is no exception. I was caught up from the beginning and kept intrigued until the end. Well-written with lots of action and a plot that keeps you guessing, this book was a wonderful read. I’m looking forward to more Winter Black. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order.
Mary Stone is a rising author and as she publishes more books, her skill as an author improves. Although each book is stand alone with no cliffhangers, if you read from the beginning, you will enjoy them more. This book reveals more of the interactivity between the characters but is especially interesting as it selves into the dark web and all its mystery.
Every time I hear another Winter’s story is on th way I get super excited. Winter’s Web another great story by Author Mary Stone. Keep this amazing series going please. I can not get enough. The storyline always keeps me riveted. The characters are phenomenal. The team grows more unified with each case. The psychotic criminals seem to get worse and more crazier than the last. These stories make you shove aside all else so you can finish reading in one sitting. Love love love me some Winter Black and all her FBI family
In “Winter’s Web” we are asked would we be willing to give up our freedom to get a family member out of a possible deadly situation. Mary Stone addresses this question in the latest installment of her Winter Black series. Would you have the nerve for what this young man does? Read on for some amazing insight on what you might (?) do in the name of Love. Mary has indeed continued to weave her web of intrigue and draws us deeper into it. Enjoy!
And another hit in the Winter Black series for Mary Stone!!! How far will a parent go to protect their child?? When do we find out what happened to Winter’s brother? When will we learn if he’s good or bad?? This series has it all … drama, humor; everything you want in a book!! I’m already waiting for the next book in this series!!
Winter Web 5th Installment in the Winter Series this book was so full of suspense . I was intrigued with the characters ability to get to the Real Truth.
Ryan O’Connelly is willing to risk everything to help his Sister and Nieces. He has information on the Dark Web posting of snuff film of a young woman being killed. He is willing to help with the investigation in exchange for protection for his sister and Nieces..
Winters Brother according to behavioral analysts may also be a Serial killer.. However we won’t know till the next book.. I can’t get enough of Winter Series.
Another great book by Mary Stone!
Winter’s Web is the fifth book in the Winter Black Series by Mary Stone and another 5-star installment. This author keeps getting better with each book. The growth of the main characters keeps each book fresh and interesting. Ms. Stone’s world and character building are superb and draws you right into the story. She also knows how to keep the reader on their toes. Everytime I think I know what’s happening, she throws in a twist and a turn and I need to figure it out again.
Winter is growing more into her role of a professional investigator and getting more comfortable with her personal relationships, especially with Noah.
When a wanted criminal follows up on a rumor about a Dark Web posting he finds an unnerving video that looks like a snuff film of a young woman. His conscience has him turning this information over to the FBI. As the FBI starts investigating, it appears that this may not be a snuff film, but the start of a seriel killer.
While this book can be read as a stand-alone, I suggest reading the entire series, starting with the prequel “Winter’s Origin” to gain some valuable insight into Winter’s story. You won’t be dissapointed with this five-star series.
I’m hoping that Winter’s brother isn’t the person the behavioral analysts fear, but I know that’s a slim hope.
I received an advance copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving this review.
This is another great book. Highly recommended. Holds your interest until the end. We learn a little more about the main characters. Cannot wait for future books in this series. So glad to be an ARC member. Would purchase these books even if I were not.
I just finished reading the entire series and loved them all. Was so thrilled when this book came up as ARC; can’t wait for the next book in this series.
I really liked this book and the characters are great. The story kept me interested throughout the book. This author keeps getting better with each book. We see changes to the main characters as time goes by. About the time I figure I know what’s going to happen, I find that I don’t. I can hardly wait for the next book in this series.
I would like to thank the author and publisher for the opportunity to read an early copy of this book.
