They survived, but survival won’t save them. When the survivors of the massacre at the Riverside Mall are murdered one after the other, the police suspect a serial killer and turn to the FBI. Winter Black is on the case, working to track down the third person involved in the mass shooting that happened the same night she took down The Preacher, the man who killed her parents. The hit list is long … parents.
The hit list is long while the list of suspects is short, and when the killer ends up dead, the suspect list narrows down to a pinpoint. The path to solving the case grows even more twisted, and protecting the survivors feels nearly impossible as the storm of hate grows bigger, more fierce as it moves closer to Winter, taking down anyone within its path.
Who is this assassin? Are they intent on simply finishing what Tyler Haldane and Kent Strickland started, or is it worse? Do they intend to finish what The Preacher started as well? And where does Justin, Winter’s baby brother, fit in? Is he the storm, or is he simply caught up in its force?
Book eight of Mary Stone’s riveting Winter Black Series, Winter’s Storm, delves into a darkness we hope doesn’t exist and brings it close enough to feel its chill.

Winter’s Storm (Winter Black Series Book 8) by Mary Stone is an amazing story that I have read. This is book number eight in this amazing series that I have love reading. I highly recommend this story to everyone.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Another in a series written by Mary Stone. Anything she writes is A number 1.
Police suspect a serial may be to blame as the survivors of the massacre at Riverside Mall are being killed one after another so they call in the FBI. On the case is Winter Black and as she chases down a suspect who is later found murdered, thee case keeps getting more and more twisted.
This is a great series and this book is no exception. Full of action and intrigue, this book grabbed my attention from the start and kept me hooked until the end. It was well-written with well-rounded characters, some of whom you’ll like and others you won’t. I highly recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order.
I really enjoyed reading this book with all the different cases they are involved in. Lots of twists and turns. Not exactly what I expected and that is okay. I like when I can’t figure out who is doing what.
Great read and I can hardly wait for the next book in this series. I love that characters and care about them.
Thank you to the author and publisher for an advance review copy. All opinions and thoughts are my own
This is the 8th book in the Winter Storm series and each one is better then the last. A great suspense filled thriller with plenty of action and lots of twists and turns. It continues with plots and characters from previous books. Winter and Noah get closer and it is nice to see them evolve. I highly recommend this book. I received this as an ARC member. Can’t wait until the next book in the series.
Loved it, loved it, loved it! Can’t wait for the next one. Mary’s books draw you into the story and wraps you into the lives of the story’s characters.
Another great book by Mary Stone!
In “Winter’s Storm”, Mary Stone continues the saga of WInter Black , the FBI and her coworkers as they handle cases that while they seem unrelated are connected in the murky past life of a character known as the the “Preacher” and his teachings. Six people have been murdered in seemingly unrelated murders, but a rookie detective feels that “something is just not right. ” Upon closer investigation, it is determined that they are and the FBI is called in to help solve these murders. Read “Winter’s Storm” to see if Winter and her co-workers able to solve how they are related and how the fanatical teachings of the Preacher have attracted like minded followers and a NEW LEADER! Enjoy!!!
Winter’s Storm is the eighth book in the Winter Black Series by Mary Stone and another 5-star installment. The growth of the main characters and depth of depravity of the criminals keeps each book fresh and interesting. Everytime I think I know what’s happening, she throws in a twist and a turn and I’m back to square one, again.
Winter’s storm may be the best one yet. The first chapter grabs you, setting the scene. Then it might seem a little slow as we catch up to our FBI friends’ personal lives – but then it takes off running, page after page.
Just as the FBI thinks The Preacher and the Riverside Mall Massacre is behind them, they find out five survivors of the Mall massacre have been killed in the last six months. As the LEO’s and FBI start working together to warn the remaining survivors, it seems the killer(s) are a step ahead of them. But we know who the killer is, don’t we? Or, then again, do we?
I don’t suggest reading this book as a stand-alone. There will be too many questions left unanswered for you and one big cliffhanger. Winter #9 better out be soon. No pressure Mary, but . . .
I did receive an Advance Readers Copy from the authors. The above is my honest review.
Winter Storm is in Fact A Storm Of unanswered Questions . What we do know Is all Survivors of the massacre at the Riverside Mall must Die because it was meant that way by a Cult. Jamie believes they are all Sinners and must be eliminated that is the mission. Winter and the whole Gang are back but can they Stop him and What Will Winter Do when she is Faced with The Cult Leader, The Monster, is it her Brother? Grab Book 8 of Winter Black Series its a Page Turner …..
Received ARC. Unable to put this book down. Read all night long. Spine-tingling and goosebumps. Not stop action with twists and turns that keep your head spinning. Your heart breaks for Winter. She’s a strong woman but blessed with caring peers and friends. Really can’t wait to read the next book.
A mass shooting at a mall calls in the FBI and Mary Winters in the case. This happened the same night that Mary took down The Preacher. Is there a connection and who and what is it? What does Mary’s brother, Justin, have to do with it if anything? Lots of questions, little suspects and less time to figure it out. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book
