Sometimes, the beginning is the end.
For thirteen years, FBI Special Agent Winter Black has been haunted by a man who performed heinous acts. Murdering her parents. Abducting her baby brother. Leaving her in a coma that changed her life forever.
For thirteen years, she’s suffered mentally and physically. Often doubted her sanity and ability to move forward to achieve her goal of bringing that … forward to achieve her goal of bringing that brutal man down.
Thirteen years of regret. Of hope. Of fear. Of hate.
But now, the boy she longs for has transformed into a man she fears.
She has to face him. Catch him.
Maybe even kill him. Even if it means the end of her.
Winter’s End, the ninth and final book of Mary Stone’s gripping Winter Black Series, examines the intricate battle between love and hate. Right from wrong. Leaving you breathless and asking…what would you do?

Twisting and turning mind blowing rollercoaster. You just can’t put this book down. Thankfully we will still see some of our loved characters in a new series covering Autumn. It is sad to see the end. You become so attached to the characters you feel like you are losing a member of part of your family. Great thrilling and suspenseful writing. I applaud you. Received ARC copy and this is my honest opinion.
Thirteen years ago, Winter Black’s parents were murdered, she was left for dead, and her six year old brother, Justin, was taken. Now, Justin has resurfaced but he’s not the same boy he used to be. In fact, it seems he’s responsible for multiple heinous acts of murder. Winter is fighting her emotions throughout the case dealing with everything from hope to fear. And, while she’s not officially on the case, she knows that the boy she loved has to be caught and stopped.
I really enjoyed this series and this book, while good, was not one of the better ones. The ending seemed too unfinished for the last book in a series. And Winter’s behavior was not at all like the woman she had become. The book was well-written and the other characters were done well. I do look forward to the Autumn Trent series and hope it answers some of the questions that were left here but I still think that there should be more Winter Black. I do recommend both book and series which I suggest you read in order.
Winter’s End By Mary Stone it was Bittersweet to read the Final Book Winter’s End. The characters amazing strength and Unity they share together working to obtain one Goal JP… However, this is Not the End but Just The Beginning of A New Journey For Autumn… I highly recommend the Winter Series never a dull moment…
I’ve really enjoyed this series. All of the books have been hard to put down & when I do, I’m anxious to get back to them. Though this is intended to be the last book in the series, I do hope that it has at least one more.
What a shocker!
I didn’t want it to end!!! Every book I read written by Mary Stone keeps me enthralled and at the very edge of terror! I look forward to the spin off of this series. I am sure it won’t disappoint!
Wow!! This book Cannot be the end of the series. There has got to be a “spin-off”. The ending was very unexpected. So much drama and suspense and so many twists and turns. I was never sure about who Winter would end up with, Aiden or Noah. I liked both characters. This is an awesome series and I highly recommended it if you like mystery, suspense and romance. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving this review
WINTER’S END is the ninth book in the Winter Black Series by Mary Stone and another 5-star installment. The growth of the main characters and depth of depravity in the criminals has grown with each installment.
The Preacher may be dead and buried but he still haunts Winter and the FBI. It seems his mission still lives on in Winter’s brother Justin. What could being raised by a fanatical, psychopathic killer do a young mind? Is Winter’ brother the new Preacher?
Mary Stone has created a series and storyline that is not only chilling and frightening, but also may never end. The title might indicate the end to the series, but I have my doubts. There is always evil for the FBI to confront.
I did receive an Advance Readers Copy from the authors. The above is my honest review.
Winter’s brother
Everything Mary Stone writes is worth reading. she has away of making every book better than the last. Winter finally finds her brother but he’s nothing close to what she was hoping for.
The story gives us more information on the night Winter’s parents were killed, Winter attacked and left for dead and her little brother kidnapped. That was thirteen years ago, now it seems that the kidnapper was The Preacher. Winter killed The Preacher and now there is someone out there who committed a murder in The Preacher’s style, they believe it is Winter’s little brother. The FBI has suspended Winter, but she is bound and determined to find out if it is her little brother and why if it is. Then things change in a big way for Winter. How? You will need to read the book to find out. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
In “Winter’s End”, the saga of FBI Agent Winter Black continues battling the evil that a serial killer nicknamed “The Preacher” had murdered WInter’s parents continues. Even though he has been killed, the evil he started does not stop! Read this latest story if you wish to see what happens to Winter, her brother, and how the evil continues. Mary continues to astound me with her weaving of the story line the way she does. I wholeheartedly give her a big thumbs up. Read and enjoy.
Winter’s End (Winter Black Series Book 9) by Mary Stone is a story I loved reading. Mary Stone has done it aagain this is an amazing story to read. I highly recommend this story to all.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Mary Stone does it again. This book was great, could not put it down. Is a real page turner. Every book in the series gets better. Lots of twists and turns and suspense. Highly recommended. Sorry to see the Winter Black series end but happy to see there will be an Autumn spinoff. Can’t wait. I received this book as an ARC member and this is my honest review.
Winters end
Quite a story. The characters had depth and great friendships. Winter had a hard time deciding if she was an agent or a sister. Justin/Jaime was he a brother or just a murderer. He seems to be pretty smart and he’s after Winter. Can they catch him? I really enjoyed this book. It’s the last of a series so I’m going to go back and start at the beginning.
